A really lovely little book! Anyone who's a fan of Aesop's Fables will surely love this, as the storytelling is very similar in purpose and style, albeit from the perspective of a Sufi poet from many centuries ago.

An easy read, this is a wonderful collection of Persian folklore, good for all ages. Some of it was reminiscent of the old Indian tales I was told as a child, others short & classy & to-the-point deliverers of morals.

While some of the stories made me roll my eyes a bit, overall I was happy with the collection.
