I really wanted to like this. I was looking forward to reading the rest of the series, but....I just can't.

I've read a lot of the insta-love short stories and I can handle them for the most part, but come on!!

1. Lana isn't that likeable because she doesn't see a problem with being a bitch to people...including clients and poor baristas!

2. Declan is feeling Lana up after two minutes of meeting her, telling her not to wear panties to work again?? What the fuck? Holy sexual harrassment, Batman!

3. The only details we get with the sex scenes are of a blowjob and intercourse. Really?? We get told he reciprocated, but we never get to see it. Did a man actually write this??

Just so many problems with this book. Ugh.

Hot and steamy. This instalove read is Declan and Lana’s story. Lana must work with Declan for the next three months to get the vice president job she wants. Declan is all alpha and plans make Lana his. A good read.

A hot and demanding insta-love.
All she wanted was to vice-president of the company. But she had to pass a test first. Declan Kennedy was that test. What a test he was. Yum.
From the very first moment, sparks were flying and my kindle was nearly set aflame by the steam in these pages.
I would highly recommend this book.

4.5 stars - Lana's life gets a bit of a kick in the pants but once she meets Declan, the insta-lust is thick in the air. The writing can use some cleaning up but the story is there and it is over-the-top, cute, funny, a tad bit angry sometimes, and definitely a good amount of steamy fun. I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.

CEOs Desire is a captivating insta-romance short story that allows the reader to escape the pressures of their day. I found Blue's writing style to be quite enjoyable. Her characters are likeable and enjoyable. I appreciate the way Blue addresses negative societal issues of bullying and body image and the collateral damage involving the victim's pent up anger in her story line. In this story, she uses a dual person point of view--Lana and Declan to allow readers to know them. These two share a chemistry that motivates their actions, thoughts, and words. Both Lana and Declan have anger issues but their root causes differ Hers is a result of assumed guilt over the tragic death of her girlfriend. His from a childhood of bullying. Through literary devices such as dialog, descriptive language and point of view we see how these two address these societal issues and the impact on their personas. So if you are looking for a steamy office romance story to cozy up with on a lazy Sunday then I recommend this HEA.

Um what is this? Is this a Reddit story?

I absolutely do not recommend this book. The writing is tactless, lazy and ridiculous. I’m sorry but the day you meet your new boss he tells you no panties and you just don’t care? More concerned about a promotion. Then a random mention of a Hispanic worker to what? Show diversity? This book is stereotyping that plus women get are desperate because there’s no way women really think this is sexy or romantic. I’m offended that I spent a whole 45 minutes reading this “book” oh asking for 50k monthly salary before getting on your knees is akin to prostitution. This whole story is cringe worthy red flagged rubbish. Save your time and patience. I can’t even believe it was published. MC is an aggressive possessive douche. I love books from all genres from dark romances to sweet ones, I don’t ever shy away from spice but this book.. it’s just so poorly written. If this comes of angry it’s because the audacity that this is a real book I spent any time on at all, is upsetting

CEO's Desire is a hot fast pace story that will have you reaching out to steady yourself as the words are burning up the pages.

Lana is a driven independent woman, who's goal is to make it to the top. Declan is a hard boss that will not take anything from anyone. Lana is sent to work for Declan to learn a few things to help her with her career, but once she arrives Lana is not the only one learning thing. Together their chemistry is explosive and their need to better the other is off the charts.

This is story you won't be able to put down as with each turn of the page pulls you deeper and deeper into the story.,

CEO’S Desires is book one in the ‘’his curvy craving’’ series. This story is short, fast paced and enjoyable. I read this book in one sitting and was satisfied throughout. I found the writing style easy to follow, the characters likeable and the storyline enjoyable. Lana has spent eight years building her career in a media company. She is supposed to be promoted to vice president but Lana gets a shock when her boss has a different plan. Lana soon finds herself sent to a small town named Eastwood to work as a secretary for three months. Lana needs to prove to her boss that she has made changes before she can be promoted. Declan isn’t happy when a friend asks him to hire/teach someone for three months. That soon changes when Declan lays eyes on Lana. From the moment Declan meets Lana, he knows she is the woman for him. Will things work out for Lana and Declan? What will happen to Lana’s promotion?
The chemistry between Declan and Lana is clear to see and I liked them as a couple. I loved how bossy and possessive Declan was of Lana.
I really liked the ending and the epilogue for this story.
The storyline for this book is easy to follow and it is an enjoyable read. I cannot wait for more books from this series.

Good Read

A quick read of an insta-love short story. This story is quite sensual in nature but does touch on a couple of current negative societal issues: bullying and body image. These issues were sensitively addressed in this story.

Ok

This book was just ok for me. I ended up skimming a lot of it so I don’t have all the details.
It is safe. No ow/om drama, I don’t think h was a virgin and Isaw nothing mentioned about the H’s past. No abuse. H and h both bring out the best in each other and make each other better people. Before meeting one another both were pretty closed off people who weren’t very nice to others.

Following orders

This book was a super fun quick read. Lana was a strong woman but her boss thought she needed something else in her life before giving her the promotion she wanted. Sent to work for declan. Lana soon realised he was demanding and determined to bend her to his will. It was insta-love, lust whatever you want to call it. He had his demands and she would follow them or else. It was a bit crazy with the 0 to 1000 he craved her, but made for a fun read.

Lana's been working her way up to VP in her company however when its given to someone else she doesn't know what to do. She is sent to another company to work and to try to achieve what her friend Tatiana has suggested of her. If she succeeds she very well may end up with her dream job. Yet working for Declan isn't what she expected especially with his rules. Declan knows as soon as he sees Lana that she is meant to be his and he'll do whatever he has to in order to claim her. Lana is attracted to Declan so she agrees to his rules just to see how this plays out. Will Declan get his woman? Can Lana go back to her old job after being with Declan?

This is a steamy short that will captivate you from beginning to end. The chemistry between them is scorching hot. This is a well written and very entertaining story. I would recommend this book to any book lover.

I absolutely hate giving bad reviews. I kept hoping the book would have redeeming qualities but it just didn't.
The story is choppy it seems to jump from one action to the next with no real reason. The pieces of a decent story are there but they don't connect up.
The story is completely unbelievable. The heroine is a 26 year old professional woman in line for a vice presidency at a big company. Yet she chews gum while meeting her temporary boss for the first time? It just doesn't make sense. No professional woman would do that. Declan, the hero, runs a company. One of the first things he says to Lana is don't wear panties. Sexual harrassment issues aside Lana just agrees. Again she's a big shot professional woman yet she just rolls over. I was waiting for Sparks to fly to read the chemistry between the two, but it's not there. There is no build up to their relationship. Everything they love about each other is almost purely sexual. They have few conversations. The sex scenes are blah. Declan comes off as stalkerish telling her to go by Mrs. Kennedy after just meeting her.
You later learns he's big into karate and his an instructor. Yet he looses his temper and beats up the hotel manager. I know several people who are big into martial arts and control is everything. The learn to literally kill with their hands. They would never loose control like that. That scene in particular really bothered me.
Another thing that really bothered me. The first time Lana and Declan have sex Declan openly admits to himself that he isn't wearing protection because he wants to get Lana pregnant. This is the first time they have sex. The book hasn't even established that they are in a committed relationship. Yet he takes her choice away about getting pregnant. Yes, she's an adult and she could have told him to use something, but he doesn't talk to her about it. He's supposed to love and respect her, and he does that? It really doesn't fit and it makes him as a character look really bad.
Even the end of the book with the family reunion feels very contrived.
I feel like Alexa Blue could eventually be a really great author. He rhythm with stories just isn't quite there yet.

i read this book as part of an arc program. This is the story of Lana and Declan. Lana ia a workaholic and is expecting a promotion when her boss tells her she is sending to another company owned by her friend Declan. Her boss told her she is not very well liked by clients and staff and she needs to learn to be less critical, she also wants her to have a social life outside of work. When Lana arrives in the small town, she is not happy about things and vows to struggle through the three months and then get her promotion. Declan is surprised when he meets Lana and he decides then and there she will be his wife. Declan tells her she is going to be his assistant and gives her a number of rules to follow that don't have anything to do with work. Lana is attracted to Declan and thinks a fling with him would be fun, but Declan wants more than a fling. I liked this story. I liked how both Lana and Declan helped each other and didn't realize how much they changed the other. They had great chemistry and and instant love. Good one.

So this was a free ARC copy from one of my favorite authors and booksprout for my honest voluntary review of this read.And I thought it was sizzling hot and couldn't put down once I started reading it, just had to finish it.I really enjoy reading this authors work because its so hot and it all about curvy girls getting the hot men that they deserve to love and love them back.Has a great storyline and great characters to read about to.Plus like I said its sizzling hot , at least I thought it was! I so look forward to seeing more from this author in the future. Enjoy

This was fun and sexy short read! The storyline is well written, engaging and characters are likeable.
Everything in this book is instant and intense.
There is humour, drama, emotions, and ups and downs.

4 1/2 Stars!

Low drama, over the top instalust/instalove office romance between rigid yet emotionally starved Declan, and demanding yet sweet Lana. I thought her boss Tatiana was one of those evil bosses out to use and manipulate her naïve workers. Lana had been working diligently for eight long years and was promised the VP position once it opened up. When Tatiana gave the position to another, I was instantly protective of Lana.
Turned out Tatiana acted in Lana's best interest after all.
I enjoyed the dual POVs, but especially Declan's as he was a great alpha male that instantly claimed Lana in his mind, emotions and heart. His emotionally scarred history of being bullied along with his father's rejected was kind of sad to read.
Scorching scenes between this sweet couple, but I really enjoyed the sweet sensitive relationship that caused Lana to think about Declan more than herself. I also liked the way she smoothed out his rough edges and allowed him to forgive the ones who hurt him in the past.
My only dissatisfaction was his father, who I feel was kind of horrible and got off pretty much scott free.
All in all an easy to read, well written office romance devoid of unnecessary drama, zero cheating, and no crazy exes to deal with.

Lana is a young businesswoman,working her way up the corporate ladder. When her boss calls her into her office, Lana believes it is about the promotion she has been expecting, and it is, but not necessarily in a good way. Instead, her boss is sending her off for some time to learn how to control her anger by working with a friend of hers who is very controlling. She says if Lana can work with him for three months, she can have the position she craves. When she arrives at her new, temporary, home, she is to report immediately to her new boss and she is "not to keep him waiting." She goes to the company where she gets her first glimpse at Declan, her boss. Things become interesting right away. At the beginning, I thought Declan was a little creepy, but in no time I felt a little enamored of him myself. If only there were men like him in the real world. I really enjoyed this book and look forward to the next.

Lana was promised a VP posit in with the company she has been with since high school but when the owner suggests that she do a 3 month stint as a secretary so she can learn to take orders and have fun she is shocked. Declan is owner and CEO of MNT Enterprises. A true alpha who has clawed his way to the top. He agrees to have Lana act as his secretary for 3 months but quickly learns who the boss truly is.

Good characters but not enough of a story for the characters to build a repore.
