Eli has been looking forward to his yearly trip to Camp Lost Lake—a sports camp for underprivileged kids—all season. He is more than ready for a month-long break from his offensive coordinator responsibilities. Until a public fight with the Piranhas' star tight end, Colton Roth, and the subsequent media fallout, results in the pair being forced to spend the summer at Camp Lost Lake together.

Colton is almost as good at antagonizing Coach Conley as he is at playing football, but as usual, his behavior has landed him in hot water. Now, his position with the Piranhas is on the line, and he must stay away from any potentially scandalous situations. Trying to stay on his best behavior doesn’t last long though, and after hooking up with Coach Conley, it looks like Colton might have put the final nail in his career’s coffin.

Can Colton and Eli survive an entire month in the middle of nowhere together? And will either of them still have their careers intact after the summer is over?

Being Enough is a 45K word MM romance that includes an NFL player and coach who think they hate each other, a summer camp in the middle of nowhere, and an inebriated game of spin the bottle. This is the second book in the Portland Piranhas series, but it can be read as a standalone.

This could have been so much better!!! I loved the premise (enemies to lovers/bi awakening/sports romance) but the dialogue was clunky, it was underdeveloped and lacked depth. I would have begrudgingly rated this 3 stars as I liked it for the most part, but I just can’t get over the abysmal editing 🙄

I honestly could have rated this higher if there weren't so many spelling errors and completely incorrect words used or words completely missed so the sentence made no sense.

It happened so frequently that it just kept throwing me out of the story, so everything got really stop-start and I had to try and figure out what was trying to be said!

If this had been edited better then it would have been a great story.

Loved this enemies to lovers story!

Eli and Colton were like oil and water. Until they were forced into a situation where they had to get along. Sparks flew. This was a smoking hot enemies to lovers story.
I liked this one even more than book 2 and that saying something. I’m really enjoying this series and look forward to book 3! Highly recommend!

Even though this was an enemies to lovers there was no angst. It was done perfectly. We meet the fun loving Colton in book one. The is fun loving, a partner, and hiding his true self

Eli is the teams coach and boy do they not get along until they are forced to spend time together. With time, they get to see who each other really is and a true enough is formed and what do you know, they fall in love

This was a great book and can’t wait to see who is next in this series.

I really enjoyed Eli and Colton’s story. I’m a big fan of first times, enemies to lovers, and toss in a dose of forced proximity and you have the makings of some pretty explosive chemistry! These two certainly were not fans of each other and when they are forced to volunteer at a kids camp together for a month those tensions hit an all time explosion. Cue steamy first time experiences and a case of the feelings all around. This was a great read and I’m looking forward to then next in this series!

Being Enough is book two in the Portland Piranhas series by Alie Nolan. This is contemporary m/m romance with a sports theme and a first time bisexuality awakening. Eli and Colton are fantastic characters that go from fighting to loving... their chemistry is hot. The book is sweet, sexy and fun with not too much drama. Loved it.

I received an advanced reader's copy of the book and I am voluntarily leaving my honest review and recommendation.

Colton and Eli get all the stars in this enemies to lovers romance. You couldn't help but like Colton in His Favorite player as the fun loving, all accepting BFF to Ryan. You also couldn't miss the tension between Coach Conley (Eli) and Colton even as secondary characters in that story. The sparks flew from the opening of this book until the happily ever ending.

An easy and perhaps fluffy soft story but in a good way. Fast paced and straight forward with no plot twists.

If you enjoy MM sports romance, you'll enjoy this one.

Colton and Eli make for a great enemies to lovers story. They're really at each others throats in the beginning and I was all for it. The sexual tension was also pretty palpable, and it was very satisfying when they finally give in to it. Although they move away from enemies quickly, it doesn't feel forced or rushed, and I think this comes down to the camp setting. Colton was so endearing in the way he slowly opened up to coaching the kids, and finally showing his true self, that it wasn't hard to see why Eli fell so hard!

4.5 stars..This second book in the Portland Piranhas series is a sweet, GFY, enemies to lovers story. The setting of a fictional NFL team and a summer camp for kids makes for an interesting story.

The MCs are Eli, the offensive coordinator for the NFL team and Colton, a media nightmare badboy Tight End and one of Eli’s players. When Colton gets caught in yet another media firestorm, this one involving a threesome with a Senator’s daughter and a man he is outed as bi-sexual. When another media incident occurs right on top of this one the team decides that he will spend the next month at the summer camp for kids that has always been Eli’s refuge, staying away from the spotlight and hopefully redeeming himself with charitable works. Colt doesn’t like it and Eli hates it but there they are. This being a romance book it’s not too difficult to figure out what the trajectory of the story will be. With the assistance of Eli’s best friend Rose, who he met at the same camp when they were 11, the two are pushed together and sparks fly.

The story arc moves well and through the development of the relationship we get to know each character better. I’d have liked a bit more character development so we really knew both of these people better but that is just a minor critique. The crisis moment is tense but not overdramatized.

That lack of drama makes the story feel more realistic which is helpful as several things happen at the end that defy reality, especially in a professional football team setting. I’d like to think that at some point we will get to the day that things will shake out in this manner, but it certainly isn’t now. And yes, I know its fiction but there’s only so much willing suspension of disbelief I can take in a true-life setting. Likewise, the complete lack of recognition of how hiring is actually done for a professional sports team (lack of research or just not caring?) is something that took my head out of the story which is a big no-no for me. Additionally, there are quite a few editing/proofreading errors.

So those things keep this from being a 5-star read for me which is a shame as I have enjoyed this universe and I look forward to more stories to come from this author, in this realm. I’ll definitely read them and recommend that you do too.

*I voluntarily read an ARC and this is my objective review *

Who doesn't love a good enemies to lovers, redemption story?
Coach, Eli, and Tight End, Colton, have been at odds for several years and it comes to blows when a fist fight ends up live-streamed online. The only thing left for the management team is to send Colton to the summer camp that Eli has been coaching at for years, even attended himself as a child. Something the older man is not happy about, with Colton's partying behaviour constantly getting him in hot water and now the two of them being forced to spend time together for a whole month at a place that means a lot to Eli.
This had such a great relationship between the two MC's. We go from one extreme to the other, starting with tension and frustration but it grows into something so much more as they are given the chance to explore the hidden attraction there is, especially for Eli who has never found himself connecting with a man in that way before. The chemistry is off the charts when they allow it to be experienced and explored. The romance side quickly comes to light when they learn more of each other and understand how and why they are who the are. Both were highly presumptuous about the other man and who they thought they were, it's nice reading them discover the truth of each other.
There is exploration for Eli as he's never been with a man before and Colton is more than happy to help him explore whilst they have this time away from the real world. However, it doesn't take long for unexpected feelings to arise.
Camp is something I have never experienced but if it happens this way every time, for the kids and the adults, then I definitely missed out! It really brings the experience to life and offers something wonderful for these children who would otherwise miss out. I especially loved the spin the bottle moment that essentially sets off a series of events for the whole story.
A great second book in this series, wonderfully written and highly enjoyable. I loved the MC's being removed from football and the public eye, having the opportunity to know each other without any outside influences. Definitely a recommended read that can be read as a stand alone but worth reading book 1 as well.
I received an ARC and am happily giving a review.

I found myself falling in love with both Colton and Eli in Being Enough.  They were a true opposites attract couple. Eli Conley is a coach who doesn't have the time to deal with the drama that one of his players, Colton, brings with him. A risque situation on Colton's part and a physical confrontation between them lands them both in hot water with their PR people. They needed to find a way to get these men to get along and they find it in Eli's off season routine. Volunteering at a summer camp together.

Being at this summer camp, seeing each other outside the realm of professional football, allowed them to get to know each other. Being able to see each other in a different light, ignites an attraction they were unaware of.

Colton exudes confidence and sensuality. It'd be hard to resist, no matter who you were. Eli, being older and never having been in a relationship with a man? *fans self* It pushed all my buttons. He's so open to everything that Colton offers him and willing to explore a completely new part of himself. This definitely had some steamy romance scenes.

I felt the emotions that tore through Eli from the opening pages to the last. He was experiencing something so new, but revelled in everything that Colton had offered him.

I'm really glad that I continued on with this series. It dove in and read it in one sitting. Do yourself a favor, check out this book.

This is an excellent addition to the Portland Piranhas series and I really enjoyed it. Being Enough is well written, sexy, hot, sweet, I love the storyline, the characters are amazing and the ending is great. I was intrigued by the animosity between Colton and Eli in the previous book so I was looking forward to reading their story. The development of their relationship is well done and I like how different Colton is in this story as we learn more about his background and why he acts the way he does. Eli is wonderful and I love how he has little angst about being attracted to a man for the first time. They have sizzling hot chemistry and genuinely enjoy spending time together. The secondary characters are great as well and I love seeing more of Ryan and Alec. The only thing that bothered me was the lack of editing as there are a lot of errors that kept interrupting the flow of the story but as I read an ARC this may have been rectified before it was published. I can't wait to read more books by this author and I hope there will be more books in this series.

I voluntarily reviewed an advanced copy of this book.

When you first met Colton in the first Piranhas book, you see him as a laid back, buck against the system, kind of guy. He's talented, but he seems to get in his own way most of the time. But when you meet him in his own book, he's a pompous git fighting with his coach because he can. After two scandals, he is sent to a camp to teach kids football for a month with Eli Conley, his nemesis.

They both learn that there is an underlying attraction between them and they start a summer fling that soon turns into something deeper for both men. It's a fast read and I liked how Colton's character arc allowed him to open up to Eli and trust another person, because trust didn't come easily to him. Eli was sweet. He pushed Colton hard because he felt he needed the discipline, but as he gets to know Colton out of their professional setting, he likes what he learns about Colton.

A lovely read and a lovely series! I hope Micah gets his own story and the series continues! Highly recommended!!

Being Enough is the second book in the Portland Piranhas series by author Ali Noland. While this book can be read as a standalone, I would read this series in order. Colton, we met in book one and this is his love story.
Colton, he is very open with his affections and knows it. He is laid back and always ready to party. He is used to getting things his own way.
Eli is the offensive coordinator for the NFL team. When Colton gets caught in yet another media firestorm and outed as bisexual, he has to redeem himself doing charity work. Eli is a rule follower, and Colton is a rule breaker.
I loved Eli and Colton together, they each have what the other needs in their life. They are both kind of sweet men who have fast different approaches to live in general. I loved watching them fall in love.
I am loving this series so far and I cannot wait for more books to come. I want to see who falls in love next and what happens when they do.

Colton loves his pro football life, unfortunately he’s also a trouble magnet. His latest escapade lands him in serious trouble with his organization. After he punches his coach (and to be fair, gets punched in return), it’s decides to banish him to a camp for underprivileged kids for a month. And...oh yea he’ll be bunking with coach butthead (not exactly his word).

Eli loves his camp time and can’t believe he has to spend it with his teams problem child. As they work together the tension doesn’t go away, it only gets more annoying. The arousing kiss they share makes it even worse, until it gets a whole lot better.

This book is the second in the series and like the first book it was very enjoyable to read. Both men were likable and and their interactions were believable. Very low angst (really just some insecurities). Nice story.

I received an arc of this book.

Being Enough, the second book in the Portland Piranhas series, is a riveting enemies to Lovers romance.

Taking place at a summer camp, it's a combination of forced proximity, hooking up, friends with benefits, and more. It's a coach/player romance, as Eli and Colton manage to mend their differences and give into some hate sex. I highly enjoy their story.

The writing is great, entertaining, fluid, and quick paced. Told in alternating 1st person pov, the author grabs the reader and fully pulls them into the animosity between the two, and then treats us to their change of feelings in a successful manner.

Being Enough is a story of two athletes falling in love, but their tale takes place mostly outside of the game. If you're a sports romance fan though, there's plenty to keep you satisfied.

We met Colton in the first book of this series, he's Ryan's best friend.
He's also the team's poster bad boy, constantly involved in scandals because he really doesn't think things through.
Eli is one of the coaches on the team and he's sick and tired of Colton misbehaving.
Eli's looking forward to some down time at during the summer at the kids camp he volunteers at, so when he and Colton get into an altercation and he gets sent to the camp as punishment, Eli's sure his summer is ruined.
He's also straight so he can't understand where his attraction to Colton is suddenly coming from.
There was plenty of snarky banter and chemistry between them and I also enjoyed getting to see them both drop their facades and be vulnerable with each other.

Being enough is part two of a series, however it can easily be read as a standalone. I did read the first one as well, some time ago, but honestly I didn't remember anything about it, it was okay but really nothing special.
Being enough is about Eli, a football coach and Colton, one of his players. They hate each other from the beginning, and the enemy to lovers trope works perfectly for this story. It is a lot of fun to read about it and fortunately the story is angst and drama free.
The perfect book for a day at the beach, a light summer read, that you can enjoy while reading and will forget almost immediately afterwards.
As this was exactly what I was looking for, I have absolutely no complaints, it was fun while it lasted and for me a good 3.5 stars read.

I was waiting for this pairing after reading the first book in the series and Aile Nolan did not disappoint. I do love an enemies to lovers story and this has the added element of it being a coach/player relationship too.

Eli and Colt are sworn enemies, Colt thinks Eli has it in for him so he winds him up at every opportunity. They really don’t get on but when forced to spend time together in close quarters things start to change.

These two are firey hot and I really enjoyed having both perspectives whilst they were navigating what was happening between them. There’s no major angst, just a great story that leaves you feeling very happy.

After reading the first book in the series, I was looking forward to spending more time with Colton. I knew there had to be more to why he acted the way he does. It took me just a little bit to get in to the story and then it was off to the races in their relationship with the forced proximity element. The enemies to lovers premise was very entertaining and Eli had some swoony moments that made me happy. The age gap was handled well and I appreciated the low angst. This can easily be read as a stand alone with some overlap of characters. I like this series and am looking forward to reading more. The writing is well put together and the characters are charming.

An enemies-to-lovers, Coach-player trope. I love it!

There is a saying in my country that translates to, “what your mouth says is the opposite of what your heart feels!” Which I think applies loosely to this story. They are so attracted to each other that because one thinks he is straight and the other one over-compensates for the lack of attention and love from his parents since he was a child, they resort to animosity. But things can only go so far, right? Eventually things would blow and then they have to go through the consequences.

I love this story and the characters are just so endearingly frustrating and stubborn! But love is love no matter what!

Enjoyable quick read

I love an enemies to lovers romance and this one started strong. Colton and Eli had great chemistry. I loved the camp setting. Sweet and spicy in parts. Two little critiques... I pictured Eli to be African American but then some details were more Caucasian...so I guess I wish I had a better visual. Last little niggle.... I read for escape and enjoyment so I really don't mind suspending reality but the coach/player relationship was accepted a bit too easily. All in all, I had a nice afternoon with this nice light read...I enjoyed book one as well so will continue the series.

Great Enemies to Lovers!

I just really enjoy how Alie Nolan writes and I loved this enemies to lovers, coach and player, shared room, bi-awakening story! Colton and Eli started out on a rough road, seemingly hating each other, and fighting constantly. As the story unfolds, and they are forced to spend more time together, that anger turns to lust, lust turns to passion, passion to friendship and romance, and romance to love.
The book would have benefitted from a final proofread as there were a bunch of errors that sometimes pulled me out of the story, but overall I really enjoyed it!

3 stars!

I was lucky enough to get an ARC of this book but it goes live January 2!

This was the ultimate enemies to lovers coach/player sports romance! It was intense how these 2 were so angry and then so passionate. You could definitely feel it.

I think the thing that bugs me the most from this authors books are all the unrealistic moments (For example- The team winning a game. It could happen but in a story it always feels artificial when the team the author is writing about wins.)

Overall, this was a solid football Romance involving a coach and player.

Ive said it before and ill say it again, i love me some sports romance and even better when its M/M, and the fact there's a bit of an age gap? looove

I loved reading Colton and Eli's story! Once i got started i couldnt put it down. I loved seeing them go from enemies to tolerating each other, to love. It was easy to fall in love with them as individuals and even easier as a couple. Their age gap was handled really well too.

Second in the series, but can definitely be read as a standalone
I can't wait to read more in this series, oh how i hope there's more

NFL player Colton gets in to a semi public fight with one of his coaches Eli which lands them in hot water with the team bosses.
They are sent together to summer camp as coaches for underprivileged kids with talent.
I liked the forced proximity, enemies to lovers, straight to bi storyline.
Two strong men trying to find a way to get along.
A good, easy, comfortable feel good read with a few laughs along the way.
