Can't Fix Cupid

Rate this book
Here’s what I know. Being a cupid is hard work.

Love Matches, Lust Breath, Flirt Touches, not to mention having to meet my quotas every month. And hitting your target with arrows? That shit is not easy.

But all of that I could handle. Gladly. If only my cupid powers would actually work. But nope. Turns out, I’m a dud.

Unless I want to get sucked out of existence, I need to spread some love around fast. The clock is ticking, but I have the perfect candidate to start with.

Warren Knight. Smart, hot as hell, rich, bachelor-dud extraordinaire. No matter how many dates he goes on, he just won’t seal the deal. It’s time I fix him. And fix me too.

Of course, the asshole doesn’t want to fall in love, so I have my work cut out for me.

They say there’s no rest for the wicked. Well, they should try being a cupid, because this shit is exhausting. Here goes nothing.

Author's This is a stand-alone contemporary romantic comedy with a paranormal twist. Think billionaire romance...with a cupid. It is intended for ages 18+.

I was going to listen to only a few chapters before bed, but suddenly it was 3 in the morning and I finished the book - I enjoyed it that much!!! 👏
It has a crazy heroine - a tough arrogant hero and an original paranormal plot, full with humor. 💘

The story begins with Cupid (Trix). The job of the Cupid Angels in Cupidville is to spread love and passion on humans, but Trix is really bad at her job. 💩

📚 “𝐒𝐨 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐧, 𝐰𝐡𝐞𝐧 𝐈 𝐟𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐲 𝐠𝐞𝐭 𝐨𝐧𝐞 𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐤𝐢𝐧’ 𝐚𝐫𝐫𝐨𝐰, 𝐰𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐝𝐨 𝐈 𝐝𝐨? 𝐈 𝐦𝐢𝐬𝐬! 𝐈 𝐬𝐡𝐨𝐭 𝐢𝐭 𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐚𝐜𝐜𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐲 𝐡𝐢𝐭 𝐡𝐞𝐫 𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐭𝐥𝐞 𝐝𝐨𝐠 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐬𝐡𝐞 𝐡𝐚𝐝 𝐡𝐢𝐝𝐝𝐞𝐧 𝐢𝐧 𝐡𝐞𝐫 𝐩𝐮𝐫𝐬𝐞. 𝐒𝐡𝐞 𝐡𝐚𝐝 𝐭𝐨 𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐯𝐞 𝐡𝐞𝐫 𝐝𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐥𝐲 𝐛𝐞𝐜𝐚𝐮𝐬𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐝𝐨𝐠 𝐡𝐨𝐩𝐩𝐞𝐝 𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐡𝐮𝐦𝐩𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐩𝐞𝐨𝐩𝐥𝐞’𝐬 𝐥𝐞𝐠𝐬. 𝐈𝐭 𝐰𝐨𝐮𝐥𝐝𝐧’𝐭 𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐩, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐭𝐥𝐞 𝐠𝐮𝐲 𝐰𝐚𝐬 𝐟𝐚𝐬𝐭. 𝐈 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐤 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐰𝐨𝐦𝐚𝐧 𝐠𝐨𝐭 𝐛𝐚𝐧𝐧𝐞𝐝 𝐟𝐫𝐨𝐦 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐮𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐭.” 📚

She has a strange obsession with the hero, Warren Knight, in which she watches in her spare time on his failed dates (and even when he is just showering 😂). Warren is an arrogant billionaire who does nothing for fun. Although he is not a typical rich man, he definitely acts like a jerk - and is not willing to commit because of a secret... 😱
But then something happens that causes both of their lives to collide and Trix's life mission is to make him fall in love... Will their feelings for each other ruin the plans? 💘

📚 “𝐈 𝐣𝐮𝐬𝐭 𝐰𝐚𝐧𝐧𝐚 𝐛𝐢𝐭𝐞 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐛𝐮𝐧 𝐜𝐡𝐞𝐞𝐤𝐬,” 𝐈 𝐚𝐝𝐦𝐢𝐭 𝐭𝐨 𝐡𝐢𝐦.
𝐈 𝐚𝐝𝐦𝐢𝐭 𝐚𝐥𝐥 𝐬𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐞𝐦𝐛𝐚𝐫𝐫𝐚𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐬 𝐭𝐨 𝐡𝐢𝐦. 𝐈’𝐦 𝐚𝐛𝐥𝐞 𝐭𝐨 𝐬𝐚𝐲 𝐢𝐭 𝐚𝐥𝐥 𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝐥𝐨𝐮𝐝 𝐛𝐞𝐜𝐚𝐮𝐬𝐞 𝐈 𝐤𝐧𝐨𝐰 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐡𝐞 𝐜𝐚𝐧’𝐭 𝐣𝐮𝐝𝐠𝐞 𝐦𝐞 𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐡𝐞 𝐜𝐚𝐧’𝐭 𝐡𝐞𝐚𝐫 𝐦𝐞. 𝐈𝐭’𝐬 𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐲 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐩𝐞𝐮𝐭𝐢𝐜. 📚

What an awesome book! Witty, funny light-read and I finished hearing it with a huge smile on my face!!! 💘
I love originality, and I have not yet read a book about Cupid descending from heaven and falling in love with a human. 🤪

Yeah - there were boring parts (the chapter in the nudist colony 😬) or parts I wanted to change (Warren didn't get answers at the end - I know, it's a bit silly because it's paranormal and there is no logical answer, but I still wanted him to know the truth 🤪). There were also clichés (mostly "Youre mine") and mentions of dick and tits - but that didn't stop me from enjoying.

What I liked most is that the connection between the them was not "Insta Love" and wasn't based on attraction and hot sex - because they developed a real emotional connection. But most importantly- this book is paranormal, but the love story did not feel supernatural, but about hippie girl who probably took a lot of drugs and is on a crazy trip! 😂😂😂
So even those who do not like this sub-genre, will be able to connect to the plot. 💘

- I listened to the audio version (which was great!) -

cute & unique concept. i was so ready to be cupid-ed into loving the heck outta this. but it turned out to be nothing like i’d anticipated. e.g. i didnt see the inclusion of a nudist colony coming (not that theres anything wrong with that). mostly, i was disappointed that the reveal - in which the heroine told the hero of her true identity - never happened.

how come he never wondered or asked about her past?? what if they had kids?? would they be half cupid or half angel?? how did she go on living in the country without any formal identification card and such?? she quite literally fell from the sky/Veil. i needed details, sis. i think this one just got away with too much sex. i skimmed the last few chapters.

Every once in a while a book comes along that puts a smile on your face and gives you all the “feels" one looks for in a romance. For me who loves a sappy romance, this one was almost perfect and it got me off my book slump!

Like a glass of good red wine though, I took my time reading and savoring it because while it starts on a good note, somewhere in the middle (ch 17-18) it sort of took a nosedive, only for it to go right back up after these chapters that I’ll mention in spoilers below. So if anyone with the same pet peeves as me decides to read it, don’t give up because (after ch 19 especially) it is all worth it by the time you reach the end – warts and all.. Lol.

That being said, this is NOT another one of those fluffy romances that we often come across! I am not really into Paranormal romances or whatever fiction this one falls into, so I went in very skeptical with the intention of DNF’g. However, I love romances with humor & strong/quirky heroines & non-Manho Heroes and this one checked all that and more! This is a romance that has the MCs develop a close emotional connection. It's not lust alone as is the norm in most romances and that's what I liked the most about it. But as I said, it does have some things that may bother folks and I admit that I was about to DNF (more on that later) but I’m glad I stuck with it because the ending alone is one I will remember for a while at least! So here we go….

SPOILERS!!!

This is a story about a Cupid heroine (Triple X/Trix) who is bad at her job. She is unable to match-make any couples because every time she blows Lust breath or something, it comes out smelling like a really bad Fart!🤢 And because she is not making any matches, especially with Hero who she has been watching over for a while now and seeing him be an asshole to his dates, her Superior (Sev) tries to “fix” her. Only something goes wrong and she becomes semi-human and is dropped on to Earth – right in front of the Hero, Warren (what the hell name is that for a Hero?! Lol).🙄

Warren is a Non-Manho billionaire who acts like an asshole at times because he doesn’t like attachments or commitment. There’s a good reason for that and when it is revealed, your heart will break for him!
In the start of the story, he has gone on 14 or so dates and Trix has seen him in her Cupid form push each one away and not make any connections. She also likes to watch him in the shower where he is jacking off! 😜 (FYI – those scenes are funny indeed!).

When Trix is dropped naked into his office in her semi-human form, she tells him that she is his matchmaker and will help him find love - only her first attempt doesn’t go well and Warren is not having it because he is very attracted to her. So the rest of the story is them getting to know each other and slowly falling in love.

The “feels” in this story, as well as the humor and the sexy/Hot times is AWESOME!

Now for the bad.....

I mentioned some things happen in this story that I didn’t care for. So here they are:

- When heroine is a Cupid, she keeps encouraging Hero to get laid, even though she is attracted to him.
- There’s also a lot of mentions of how attractive/HOT OM are and lots & lots of mentions of Boobs & Dicks in this book that is a bit over the top and sometimes annoying.
- Towards Ch 17/18, Hero, who at this time is very attracted & developing feelings for heroine, thinks that she is not interested in him and he decides to go on a date with the intention to get laid at the end of the night to forget heroine. Heroine sees him with the OW and gets a bit jealous, so she ends up flirting with sleazy OM and has the “shivers” when he touches her arm (aka she is somewhat attracted to him). She ends up doing Pot for the first time (it’s on her To-Do list) and between having a few too many drinks & getting high, OM pulls her on his lap and starts fondling her to which she attempts to push him away until Hero rescues her. Also, Hero seeing heroine with OM, drops his date and they never have sex, so this story is SAFE – WITH EXCEPTION.

- And lastly, the vibrator sex scene when she called out her Hot superior’s name in her POV (Sev) when she was having an orgasm. It was a “what the hell” moment that didn’t need to be there….

Favorite Quotes (too many to list!!)

Heroine watching over Hero on one of his dates:

I facepalm. “Man, you’re the literal worst. Don’t you wanna get laid? I want you to get laid!” I tell him.
It’s true. I really do. Because like I said, I’ve seen this guy naked, and he is delicious. But so far, it’s been a no-go. He takes all these beautiful women out, but then he acts like such an ass that most of them don’t make it through dessert. Oddly, he seems relieved about that every single time.
I just need to get this asshole to fall in love first.

Heroine checking out his “goods” while in her cupid form and Hero showering:

The door to the connecting bathroom is open, and I can hear the water running inside.
“You’re fricken glorious looking, you know that?” I tell him, as I perch on top of his marble countertops between the sinks.Warren pours some soap into his hands and starts scrubbing at his dark hair, and I watch as suds crawl down his back, slipping over his toned body in the sexiest way ever.
“I just wanna bite your bun cheeks,” I admit to him.
I admit all sorts of embarrassing things to him. I’m able to say it all out loud because I know that he can’t judge me since he can’t hear me. It’s very therapeutic.
I immediately zoom over to the shower. As I’m passing through the body wash on the stone inlay, I realize he’s not making noises of affirmation for my story. He’s making noises because he’s jacking off.
I’d be disappointed, but…it’s a sexy fricken cock.
“I know, man. Imagine how much better that would’ve been if you hadn’t been such a jerk and had taken that lovely date of yours home. It could’ve been her hands on your dick. Or better yet, her vagina. You missed out on lovely vagina, Knight,” I tell him. “Not that I saw her vagina, but let’s be real here, we both know it would’ve been a great one. She probably waxes. She seems like the type.”

Heroine & Hero in their first “meet” when she comes back in her semi-human form:

Not hot enough for you, huh?” I say with a shit-eating grin. “Your dick says otherwise. But unfortunately, I have some bad news. Now that I’ve met you officially, I’ve decided you’re not nearly hot enough for me.”
“What?”
I shake my head in mock disappointment. “I know. But your personality is a real downer. And your face? Eh. I’ve seen better. Your dick doesn’t look that big, either. He felt okay, though.”

-----
I love him. I realize that fact with stark, stunning clarity, despite the fuzziness of everything else. I think I’ve loved him since the day I first saw him, stuck behind the unhappiness of his own mask.
There was something about him that always drew me in like a moth to a mesmerizing flame.
Just as I realize the truth of my feelings, I also realize the truth of my reality.
I’m leaving.
This world, it doesn’t belong to me. I’m simply passing through, lucky enough to have this short reprieve with the living. But I’m not meant to have love. I’m meant to give it.
And that...that’s the most heartbreaking truth of my entire existence. That’s the danger I never considered. I was so wrapped up in fixing my own cupidity and in matching other people’s hearts, that I didn’t acknowledge I had a heart of my own.

“Sweet schlong, your dick is already flying at full-mast?” I ask incredulously.

.. “Ruby, can’t we just skip the whole female-versus-female thing?” I ask her. “I mean, this is the twenty-first century. Women have banded together now. We don’t let men dictate our lives or pit us against one another anymore. We’re stronger together. Chicks before dicks. Ovaries before brovaries. Bellas before fellas. Besties before testes,” I list off. “Let’s toss away the old society’s behavior of patriarchal pessimism,” I say, slamming a hand down on her desk with conviction.

SAFETY: Hero said he was a “Player” but he has been celibate for 6 months and never had any long term relationship. In the six months since he last had sex (before heroine came into the picture), he had gone on 14 or 16 dates and never slept with any because they annoyed him. Heroine, because she was a “Cupid”, was a virgin..

Outside the OM/OW mentions above, there was no cheating, sex with OP and or dramalamas of any kind. After chapter 19, MCs are a couple and Hero is an absolute gem! There is a spectacular HEA and a funny Epilogue of 6 months later.

Do I recommend? HELL YES!!!! Is it perfect? No. But it came close for me and that's good enough because at the end of the day, it didn't make me want to puke, rage or DNF. 😊

Another fabulous paranormal, cupidity romance

5 stars 💘💘💘💘💘

I feared that I would be disappointed reading Can’t Fix Cupid because the Heart Hassle series was amazing and I was apprehensive that a spin off would not live up to my expectations. This story does not include the incredible universe in the Heart Hassle series. There are no Genfins, but I still loved it. I have missed the cupid world!

heart-arrow-divider-500-smaller

Trix is a lovable, malfunctioning Cupid desperate to keep her powers and remain in the Veil. She is charming, witty, sarcastic and of course drop dead gorgeous. Rather than her powers eliciting lust and flirt touches she excretes a foul odour that repulses the would-be suitors. What do you do if you’re a cupid with malfunctioning powers? Find an extremely irresistible CEO bachelor to spend your days watching. Warren Knight is cocky, broody and arrogant. The women love him and he knows it. But Trix learns there is far more to Warren than meets the eye.

Her supervisor Sev pulls Trix back to the veil to advise her she is failing as a cupid. If she doesn’t meet her quota she may disappear from existence. Sev tries to help Trix and she ends up in human form, naked in Warren’s office. She must learn to harness and use her cupid powers in order to remain in existence.

heart-arrow-divider-500-smaller

It was a quick, fun read. Following Trix on her journey of love and being human made me laugh out loud at times. There are also many other characters in the book that I loved. If I have one critic it is the amount of sex scenes included. It's not a long book and at one stage I found myself power reading through to get back to the plot.

This story contains graphic sexual scenes and language.

I don't know what to say about this book except for, it came at the right time and was the book I didn't even know I needed. What a fun and cute book!

Ever since I've read this one story on Wattpad about Eros and Psyche, I've been looking for more books about Cupid and I'm so glad I bumped into this one by chance.
Can't Fix It ticks some of my favorite tropes

↳ quirky heroine who likes to rile up the serious hero => total opposites
↳ hidden identity
(h is a cupid and on a mission to find the H his perfect love match)

When I say this book came at the right time, I'm not even kidding. Even the really embarrassing scenes couldn't make me stop reading and this is usually a big enough reason for me to drop a book if the second-hand embarrassment gets too much. I didn't mind the silly scenes one bit so go figure!

Why not 5 stars?
— I skimmed some things because the beginning was just a tad too slow for me.
— The big discovery/revealing was missing!! The hidden identity plot is only then entertaining when the other person eventually finds out about the big secret! The discovery is usually the most fun part and I was really looking forward to it. Very disappointing...

2 Naughty Cupid Stars
Where to start? Ugh.
I SOOO wanted to love this book. The blurb drew me in, I loved the premise of a failing Cupid who falls for her intended target. Holy hell! Think of all the potential!! Except the author never really capitalized on any of it.

First, it was the most expletives I’ve ever experienced in a book. I am not a prude and in my day-to-day life I curse like a sailor. But this was cursing to the point of distraction. There was so much of it, I'd lose the trail of narrative from time to time.

Worse yet, Trix was hugely juvenile. I know she was supposed to be cute and quirky, but she came off as silly and ditsy and it was hard to take her seriously or even respect her. It was even harder to understand why Warren seemed so enamored by her.

The cringeworthy moments in the book, and there are quite a few, all felt contrived and unnecessary. It was just a device to make Trix seem more quirky, except it only made her look like a fool. There were times during my read that I actually closed my eyes and said "Really?" or "You've got to be kidding" to myself.

Then, once these two do get together, they never once have a conversation about who Trix is? How does that happen? HUGE MISSED OPPORTUNITY. What on earth was the author thinking? How do you not exploit this plot point??? Are you daft??? So, what, I'm expected to believe these two fade off into the sunset never having talked about where she came from or who she is??? Nope.

Beyond that, there are other aspects to the novel which made no sense. The author introduces secondary characters who wind up not really playing a part in the evolution of the story. The hippie Hummingbird and her consorts, for instance. Why? Why introduce these people if you're not going to do anything with them? If you're simply using them as a vehicle to give Trix a place to live, that should have been explored more thoroughly. It was yet another disappointment.

The only character who made sense was Warren. Once you learn his secret, all of his behavior and decision making made sense. He was honest from the very start. Unfortunately, we don't hear enough from him to allow his POV to sway the story, which brings me to the final point. The POV's. The first quarter of the book is solely told from Trix's POV. Fine, whatever, but then we inexplicably switch to dual POV but Warren hardly gets any page time. WHY BOTHER??? I was so frustrated by this that I nearly DNF'd at that point.

So, I don't think I'll be picking up another book by this author. We seem too far apart to find a happy medium. I cannot go through another read like this. I just can't. It felt sloppy and poorly plotted and confusing.

OMG look at this coverrrr! This girl is not only stunningly beautiful but also… her hair color, her makeup (I so looooove a good makeup - and this is… shit! This is perfection) and the glitter on her shoulder -- P E R F E C T I O N ♡♡ I’m in love.

Okay… enough of that. The book. We’re talking about a book here…

********
Why have you made it your afterlife’s mission to get him to fall in love? There are plenty more people out there. Even when I tried to do it, we couldn’t get anything to stick with this guy. He’s a lost cause.”

Cupid XXX is a total failure at her job but determined to make Warren fall in love. Well, until she falls for him herself. Of course *lol

This book was actually pretty enjoyable, sweet and funny to listen to. I thought I had a clue on where the story is headed but all the plot twists and how things eventually ended taught me wrong. Didn’t see any of it coming.

********
side note:
“Fuck, yes. Just like that,” he praises. “Bounce those gorgeous tits in front of my face while your pussy creams all over my dick.”

I’m a big fan of dirty talk… but lines like this are another reason why I’m better off with MM *cringe -- I just can’t.

I adore this author and this world. When I saw there was a standalone, I immediately started reading it. And you know what? Not disappointed. It is cute, sweet, and funny. I was wishing the ending would go a different way, but it still really worked for me.
Such a good book and I look forward to reading more by Raven Kennedy.

Enjoyable read with a lot of steamy action. Trix was extremely likable and I felt myself crack up a few times. Warren was also dreamy and swoon-worthy. Their relationship was couple goals! Blue and Harvey were cute too.

When Warren dropped the bombshell about his failing health, it felt like the author had to create a reason for him to act like a jackass to main character. There were no hints whatsoever (doctor visits, medication, pain, etc) during his POV and while he was with her, he didn't feel worried at all.

The 6 month gap was random and the ending was rushed. The author tried to make it up with sex.

Holy fucking shit✋🏻

This book. This fucking book.

It shattered my heart in a million different ways, I had to take multiple breaks and voice note my friend because I couldn’t handle it. That plot twist made me sob and bear in mind, I never cry at anything.

Im so thankful it was a HEA tho otherwise I would’ve forced myself into a slump and cry my eyes out for days.

Raven Kennedy is one of my favourite fantasy authors, I love her heart hassle series so much and I’ve had this book on my tbr for a while. I needed a good laugh and that’s what I got but that plot twist omg.

The smut was off the charts!! The desk sex omg especially when he was on the phone🤭🥵

Trix is amazing I love her, she’s fucking hilarious. I was giggling through most of the book at her, She’s the total opposite of Warren and I love that!!

Warren is defo in my top 10 book boyfriends. That man has me in a chokehold, the bucket list made my standards very fucking high. So thank you for that🫠

And omfg I can’t believe Sev was in this, I love that man he’s so funny 😭

SPOILER‼️

I really fucking wish she told Warren about her being a cupid, I know she did a couple of times and he didn’t believe her but I really wanted his reaction 🥺

Like how is he not curious? He didn’t ask about her past or who she was😭 she just landed in his world butt naked and he didn’t even wonder why.

If you are looking for a “fun ,Quick , don’t have to think too hard , but steamy steamy “ paranormal romance read, this is for you.

Raven Kennedy delivers again, She has a knack for the bumbly awkward straight talking goofy MC that the alpha CEO just can’t help but get entangled with.

Honestly, this is a read for any occasion , would 100% recommend. It’s light and fun and a really nice side PNR story to the RH world Raven already created. We see touches of old characters and have new ones pull on your heart strings a little.

Dive right in!!

"I'm inexplicably drawn to her, the way wind is pushed with the clouds, and the way the moon touches the night. She's like my very own sweet regret wrapped up in a bubblegum pink package of lighthearted life."

I read this book in one sitting, so that says a lot. It entertained me, it was cute, fun and very different from what I always read. I really liked the concept of cupids/angels and the whole world that the author created.

Oh, my freaking heart!

Yes. Yes. Yes. This is what I needed. A perfect romance with a magic touch. Who would have thought that saying what you actually think could be so sexy and so inspiring?

I love this book with all myself. A cupid really bad at her job is put into the processor once again. As they have never done it before, in the afterlife, they did not know that the consequences would be of her to be sent back to Earth where she could redeem herself. And she does it with a style. She also falls in love... Yes!

I might have had tears in my eyes. You won't really know but I would recommend this read to absolutely anyone! It was heartwarming, cute, beautiful and absolutely lovely! Trix, Miss Valentine, has become my no 1 heroine this year, with her sassiness, honesty and confidence. She is THE star of this show and she works her magic for readers to fall in love with. This read is an elixir to cure any sadness in your life and you should just go ahead and read it already.

I will never forgive myself for keeping this book on my TBR for that long...

If you need some laughs and awesomeness, this book is most definitely for you.

I couldn't sleep after reading this - and that is why this deserves all the stars out there!

Cupid #30 is a dud, her powers don't work the way they are supposed to and she is somewhat obsessed with a particular human, Warren Knight. When her boss decides to run her through the afterlife power arch a second time in the hopes that she will be fixed, it instead sends her back to Earth in corporeal form. She still has a job to do making Love Matches, and Warren is still her biggest target.

I loved the idea of the cupids while reading the Heart Hassel series, so I was completely down to read this one. It was an adorable story filled with humor, sizzle, and even a little ugly crying. So basically, highly entertaining. I loved it.

It was a nice reading, made me laugh a couple of times, lots of cringy moments that were very entertaining. Had me skipping pages that honestly were not missed. Overall I'd say it was an okay reading, absolutely loved the concept, the world Raven Kennedy created, I was just expecting more I think, maybe an honest conversation between Trix and Warren, where did she came from? Family? Did Warren ever get to know the truth?

This book was hilarious and cute and had all the feels! Cannot recommend it enough. Kennedy’s quirky Cupid just shot way up my favorite feel-good book list.

I’m so sorry Raven Kennedy. (Pause) I love everything you write. (Pause) But someone needs to edit the audible of this. (Pause) Even at 2x, the pauses between each and every fucking sentence is unbearable. (Pause) To the point I was actually counting the seconds between each sentence. (Pause). Not chapters, but every fucking sentence. (Pause) And the narrator is good. (Pause) I’m not sure if she needed to read the sentence in her head first before saying it. (Pause) BUT IT WAS MADDENING! (Pause) I ended up Dnf audible. (Pause) But I will read the book. (Pause) Because the story sounds pretty good! (Pause) See how annoying it is?

Could've been a loooooooooot better for a plot like this: a cupid is set on matchmaking a handsome but asshole bachelor.
She's so obsessed with him that she got a trial period to be human so she can find him true love. However they fell in love with each other.

But the novel was a lot whimsical and juvenile for my taste. I couldn't fathom the "opposite attracts" part between his emotionally constipated ass and her headache inducing immature ways and her over exposed tits.

Cute paranormal RomCom with a unique cupid theme

Valentine’s Day is around the corner, and this has been on my tbr for ages, so what's a better time to pick it up than now?

I LOVE everything surrounding the myth of Cupid/ Eros, so I was hoping we might get something related to it here. While that sadly didn’t happen, I still enjoyed the world and Afterlife/„Cupid system“ Raven Kennedy created.

This hit the right spot I was looking for: cutesy, fluffy, and fun.

The nudist stuff was hilarious, and I loved exploring the world through Trix' eyes. This also has some great steamy scenes.

So if you’re looking for a fun & cutesy read for Valentine‘s, Can't Fix Cupid might be for you.

🗂Genre: Paranormal RomCom
📕Type: Standalone

🏷Tropes:
- Afterlife girlie x bachelor CEO Billionaire
- Adorkable situations
- Girl on a mission
- Slight Grumpy x Sunshine
- Casual Fling
- Banter

⚠️Safety: slight omd (not reciprocated), no cheating,

📖Audiobook: 1st person, dual POV, single narration (Ivy Brooks)
*I liked her as Trix, but I had to get used to her also narrating Warren's POV. The narration wasn't bad, but I wished this would've been dual-narrated.*

Ugh. I wanted to give it 3 stars the entire time I read this, but I made myself give in to 4. Although I really liked this so much more than I thought I would, so I might switch to 5. 😂❤️ This book took me by surprise!

This book is silly in the best way possible! If you enjoyed Cupidity, I think you'll end up liking this one more because it was all vibes.

A perfect palate cleanser between books!

*Reread Review*
Had to go through and do this reread after rereading the Heart Hassle Series! While the story was still super entertaining I still have the same questions as my first read through. Why did her powers mess up to begin with. I feel like there definitely should have been an overall explanation of this. I mean it makes sense with how RK ends this (so emotional).. but having some more in depth info from the beginning.. like maybe saying she just possibly wasn't meant to be a cupid or even if that is a thing... would have made me feel a little less restless at the end of this. Still really love Trix.. even if she is a mess. The word vomit, thinks their bad A even if they aren't really... types of heroines are my favorite. They just seem so real even if some of the stuff she was into was completely unreal lol.

Super entertaining spin off to the Heart Hassle world... kind of wish it was a spinoff series instead of a one and done.. hopefully RK will be bringing us back to the Cupidverse soon!

*Original Review*
Yea I love me some Raven Kennedy! Thoroughly enjoyable read here. So this was probably more of a 4.5-5 star read but in comparison to Raven's other series' and works I had to dial back my fangirling a tad. There comes a time when you basically love everything that an author puts out there that you have to start comparing them to themselves because nothing else is really fair.

So why the four stars you ask? Well looking back over the story we did have the token obliviously humorous FMC but this book didn't have quite the embarrassing humor that some of Ravens other books have had. That being said its still freaking amazing but I just really missed Emelle. I'm a tad disappointed she didn't make a cameo in this book. Also, even though I really loved the plot here I was left with some unanswered questions. Our FMC is a broken Cupid, her powers unable to do whats needed in the cupid world. She can't meet quota even though she desperately loves love and wants nothing more than to spread love around the world. In an attempt to fix her powers she reenters the archway that gives cupid powers only to end up dropped in the human world naked as the day she was born, whenever that was, right into the office of once of her humans she has been desperate to match up. Ridiculous hilarity ensues, my absolute favorite lol. Trix learns pretty quickly that there is a ton more to love than she first thought but for some reason her powers seem to be working, albeit erratically. Now she finds herself experiencing love herself, all aspects of it, even the broken heart love sometimes brings.

This book had me all up boo hooing and in my feels. My biggest question after the ending is what made her powers mess up to begin with, and what was the overall "plan." It just seems like this book was lacking an "aha" moment where everything pulls together and completes the cohesiveness. Maybe like fate, or Emelle pulling strings at the top of the chain trying to match up cupids for shiggles or something crazy, like Emelle betting one of her dudes she can match up anyone. I kept waiting for it but nothing like that ever came. That all being said the reader is definitely given enough information for inferences of their own so it wasn't like I was left unfulfilled or unsatisfied. It all comes back to my disappointment that Emelle didn't show anywhere in this book I think. Either way it was a great read and I'll be adding it to my increasingly long list of amazing works by Raven Kennedy! Can't wait for what she comes out with next.

Ah it’s so fooking good to see Sev again. I saw Cupid and Raven and thought it was time for the broken hearted Cupid to have her lover back. Not the case but I’m not complaining. New characters all around. Warren, the playboy cold CEO and XXX, a Cupid worst than Emelle and just as clumsy with fart spray lust breath. In both POVs.

A mix of comedy and light heartedness, with a looming shadow. Plenty of funny bits, plenty of sex, a little drama and nudity. Great fun, loved it.

Favourite characters were Sev and Harvey.

Favourite line “I’m allergic.” That’s a keeper. These two are so sweet together, so warm and fluffy.
