This book reminded me of The Hunger Games but with angels . Raven is a Noir angel. These are angels that have committed sins so their wings turn black and they are then fallen. Raven was born this way. On her 18th birthday she is sent to the reformatory. She also has some pretty cool powers like ehnanced eye sight that the males don't have and healing powers. She is raised in a juvi type setting but then sent to the Noir Reformatory which is a prison for the fallen. There the female/male ratio is about 10 males to every 1 female.
There she is put into a cell with Sorin and Zian. These two are hot! They like to play together. This makes for some very sexy MM times. They haven't been around a female of their kind in centuries. This makes for a very sexually charged environment in their cell. They feel overwhelmingly protective of Raven even though they don't want to. In their world female Noirs are raped repeatedly if they are not protected. Even though Z and Sorin are tempted especially by her scent but they live by a moral code that other males do not.
The prison setting posed some interesting dynamics between the characters. Raven was very drawn to her male cellmates but was a virgin who tried to resist them. This gives anyone who is looking for MM or MFM something to enjoy. The chemistry between the threesome is off the charts. You can feel the pull they have to one another.
It has been a long while since I've read something paranormal and I'm honestly not into RH reading normally but this one hooked my attention and kept it. It is a unique take on angels and I couldn't put it down. As someone who normally wouldn't have picked up this book I have to say I'm glad I did . It goes to show that sometimes we need to leave our comfort zone so to speak to find new interests in reading. This is part of a series and I really want to read all of the books. It is like nothing that I've ever read before and is great to break the monotony of the regular books that I read. They start to seem repetitive after so long and it's great to change them up for a fresh perspective.
