Deck the halls with eldritch monsters…

The Holidays have been anything but relaxing for Lazarus Kerrigan. Between planning a wedding and selling his house, he’s barely had a moment to think about the supernatural.

When strange, Christmas-themed monsters begin attacking him in the open, it’s time for the gloves to come off. Mask is making his move. Lazarus and company are determined to take the fight to him.

A battle with Mask means traveling back to the Nightlands, reading from a cursed book, and using a spell that could destroy reality as we know it. To pull it all off, he’ll need help from an unlikely source, a detective with questionable origins himself.

One thing’s for sure. They’re in for anything but a silent night.

Until Death is the thrilling final installment of The Lazarus Codex from preternatural storyteller E.A. Copen.

Until Death (The Lazarus Codex Book 12) - a review by Rosemary Kenny

I can't bear the thought that this is the last book in the glorious Lazarus Codes,by E.A.Copen - how will I cope without my 'fix' of the latest of our hero's adventures, where he's battled monsters, fought for the underdog, overcome treachery and betrayal and much more, to save either a friend, lover, at least New Orleans and frequently the whole Earth, from beasties and other things that go bump in the night?

*slight spoilers*
Things are changing in Unto Death - and not strictly for the better - Lazarus (aka Laz) Kerrigan, necromancer and Pale Horseman, who's about to wed the love of his life, Emma, (if only they can agree the seating plan at the wedding reception, to avoid inter-family homicides and other unpleasantness), when the call comes from an unlikely source and his personal happiness has to be put on hold,as the title of the book comes horribly necessary and death comes to call for Death himself. Fear not though, dear Reader,as stalwart friend Nate, along with old friends Hades and wife Persephone, along with newcomer and Voidwalker 'Guy Smith',(as he was in life) keep things (like Laz's soul in one piece and to rescue it/him from the clutches and control of long-standing nemesis,Mask.
As befits the end of an epic series, Laz returns safe and sound to wed (again),his anxious fiancee, with a smattering of friends and family in an intimate gathering and a honeymoon in Hawaii. Though, as befits a 'Laz' story, there's a teaser at the end - where is Josiah Quinn? Only time - and E.A. Copen, that fascinating temptress of a tale-spinner can tell where/if the story will go next. Don't miss this all-star (5's not enough) winner of a fantasy/adventure/supernatural drama!

Until Death is Book 12 and last in the Lazarus Codes series by E. A. Copen. As all of the preceding 11 books, this is an amazing book. We have Laz and Emma planning their wedding until Laz gets a call from an unusual source that he must put his wedding plans on hold to answer the call (our adventure begins). Again we have a fast paced, page turning thrill ride that ends this series. Am very sad to see it end. We can only hope we will see Lazarus again in the future. I highly recommend this amazing, awesome, superb, etc. series. Received an ARC and this is my voluntary and honest review.

Such an interesting book! Lazarus and Emma are busy planning a wedding but you and I both know there is something going on which will throw a wrench into their plans. Nate is due to become the Pale Horseman upon the wedding completion. Well get ready for the plot twists and the biggest one is the Mask. He is attached to part of Lazarus’s soul. You will meet Guy a very interesting character and of course you will meet Santa Claus.
The secrets of which there are a few results form the mask still being around. Guy will help Lazarus get rid of him but the way it occurs will keep you engrossed with the story.
I highly recommend this book and the entire series!

Christmas has never been so crazy. Aside from the wedding preparations, the relatives and their bickering, suddenly New Orleans is invaded by Krampus. Santa and elves armed with machine guns. Come to New Orleans for a Christmas you won’t forget in a hurry.

This book did not disappoint and kept us interested with fresh new monsters to defeat. At the end Laz and Emma finally get to settle down and Laz gets to retire. It was a perfectly good ending and he more than deserved the break.
