Penelope Pembroke is a no-nonsense businesswoman whose only indulgence is the Book Club where she revels in the chance to let her hair down and gush about her modern-cowboy dreams. When a purple haired matchmaker starts making waves in Penelope's safe haven, she is convinced that the woman is milking the Book Club as a publicity stunt. Even after seeing one of her fellow club members disappear, allegedly into her own happily-ever-after, Penelope can't believe that she could actually be whisked away into her dream romance.

Dewis- needs to marry to keep his ranch and has 2 step brothers who are trying to stop it. Penny- a business woman who is missing being loved. I enjoyed reading this captivating story that is well written with lovable characters. Their story has a wonderful HEA.
Great characters and plot but the story seemed to happen so fast! Send a bit too quick to me. Of course, with a purple haired fairy godmother, maybe quick is only the beginning! Good read!
Penelope Pembroke has struggled with her life for a while. She works goes home works a little more and spends her evenings and any time off alone. Her passion is reading. She especially loves the Contemporary Western Genre. Lately the arrival of a strange woman at her weekly book club has her uneasy. Members have been disappearing from the group... Mysterious! Until she talks with Dr. Lachele and discovers that she claims to be sending these women to their happily ever after in their favorite Genre's. This is Crazy. But she cannot quite dismiss the pull this has on her. Wanting that kind of happiness for her. She goes for a walk, comes out of a Library door and is in a new town with new experiences awaiting her. Dewis Faremore needs help. A ranch he is about to lose and a loneliness that reaches the depth of his soul. He and Penny strike up a deal where she will pose as his fiance to help convince his two stepbrothers to back off on the sale they want for the ranch. He is heartbroken that they are trying to take the ranch that has been in his family for years and throw it to the wind. Mystery surrounds them as Penny learns what ranch life is all about. A little intrigue and some danger keeps you glued to the pages until the very end. I love how Danni Roan brings her stories to life with exciting plots and characters that jump right out and into your heart. I received an ARC of this story and am choosing to leave an honest review.
Interesting story, first I’ve read from this author. A New Yorker dreaming of being in a Western, can’t get much more opposite than that. It’s telling that when she gets ready to take the matchmaker up on her offer to go meet her cowboy she dresses in a business suit. LOL But, all and all, the girl had grit to hang with the rancher’s schedule and really take her new life by the horns. Then again maybe the matchmaker gave her some extra fairy godmother dust to make that possible. It was a little predictable but I enjoyed it. The description of the TV show they watched on DVD each evening had me humming the theme song to Chuck. They fell in love fast over doing the simple everyday things together: home cooked meals, moving the herd, grocery shopping, binge watching tv shows. There was only had one thing that really irritated me: matchmaker is one word! In the beginning few chapters of the book it was separated into two words: match maker. I’m not usually a stickler about spelling or grammar (being not perfect myself) but since the story is about a matchmaker then I would expect that word to be spelled right. No other glaring or distracting problems though. Who knows, maybe the author will see this and fix the problem...... The book was short but sweet. Was able to read it with my afternoon tea. Rating: G, Clean romance
Such a great read! The characters were so easy to like. Jack and Mack had me laughing because they reminded me of two of the three stooges. I loved how easy the romance was and it took place on a big ranch. I mean who wouldn’t want to leave out a dream they’ve only read about in books. Danni Roan has a way with taking the reader on a dream filled adventure every time! Was given a complimentary copy. All opinions are my own.
Penelope didn't believe Dr Lachele was really sending people to their happy ever afters. Dewis needed a fiance and bumping into Penelope on the street that day saved him some time. But everything felt so right. Another wonderful book in the series.
I totally loved this book! I loved the characters and their scepticism. I loved the plot twists and turns. This is a page turner. Plenty of clean chemistry. I highly recommend this book and author. Happy reading!
Thank you, Danni Roan. Dewis and Penny had their hands full with his brothers, They out to take his ranch, they went the wrong way about it and lost in the end.
