I have been writing as long as I can remember. I always knew I wanted to write books that someday many people could enjoy. I have a BA in English, a Masters in Business Administration and Marketing, and a Master's in Education.

I enjoy reading as much as I do writing and learned a lot while I was in school about the different forms of literature and the different genres all throughout the world. I only hope that people enjoy my books as much as I've enjoyed reading theirs.

When I'm not reading or writing I enjoy spending time with my family, going for walks or hiking, being outdoors, horseback riding, and watching movies.

I read both of these book and I found this one better than the first. I loved the people and hoped they would survive. I look forward to the next chapter. Thank you for an entertaining story.

Dead Road is the second book in my bestselling Dead Soil series. It continues with the same group of apartment dwellers as they finally venture outside the safety of their apartment complex and into the world. With Liam's journal explaining what he feels is the cure to the zombie disease, Christine and friends start the long walking journey from Northwest Indiana to the city of Chicago. I had so much fun writing this book because I introduced some new and interesting psychological complications that I feel are unique to the zombie genre. First off, Christine is dealing with overwhelming grief and this causes her to see ghosts, so to speak. She tries to ignore them, but they keep trying to pull her away from the group. Zac, Christine's closest friend, has been charged with being the de facto leader of the group and his #1 mission is to keep Christine from going off on her own and getting herself killed. When an old apartment dweller returns, he leads everyone to an underground bunker abundant with life and accommodations for all. But how long can everyone live secluded beneath the ground without incident while the dead walk the open earth?

This book is a thrilling edition to the Dead Soil series with scares, gore, psychological thrillers, and more!

With Liam no longer around it is now in Christine’s hands to get his journal with the cure for the zombie virus to the right people. Their journey is not an easy one. Their journey is hard with fighting zombies and losing more and more people along the way to the zombies. Some very dear and close to their hearts.

Christine is having a hard time getting over the death of Liam. She sees him everywhere she looks. He is there talking to her or just sitting close by to give her comfort. She wonders if she is going crazy but I didn’t think so. No, I just thought she was dealing with his death the only way she could. I mean she knew he was gone so I didn’t see a problem with her talking to him as long as she knows the truth.

Dead Road was just as good if not better than its predecessor, Dead Soil. After finishing Dead Soil I just had to know what was coming next for Christine, Zack, and the rest of the crew so I dived straight into Dead Road and never looked back. It drew me in and I was a goner until I read the last page.

Now I can’t wait to dive into the next and last book in the Dead Soil Trilogy, Dead World. I can’t wait to see what is on the agenda for everyone in Dead World. If it is anything like Dead Soil and Dead Road then I know it will be gory and gruesome but great.

As with the first book Dead Soil I highly recommend Dead Road as well so I am suggesting that you one-click your copy of Dead Road today! And if you have not read Dead Soil I highly suggest that you read it first before starting Dead Road.

Ok. I’m calling it. Cozy zombie apocalypse story. Once again the same people left over from the first book that are on a mission. I just can’t get enough of Alex Apostol’s writing.
The next book in her series Dead World will be out in October 2021. I so can’t wait.

The first book ended with a bang that I couldn't wait another second to start book two. Christine, who just lost her fiance, is stricken with grief. It's basically making her lose her mind. Her conscience is making her feel and see her dead fiance. All those bad thoughts she has come from his voice. Honestly, this is relatable. Anyone who just saw their loved one die and then reanimate into a flesh-eating monster would go crazy.

Zack, Christine, Gretchen, and the others set on a journey to Chicago in hopes of getting Liams journal into the right hands. Hopefully, his ramblings can help create a zombie cure. Now, most zombie books or films never involve a cure. It just seems like one doesn't ever exist or can be created. But I do enjoy the thought and hope of the world and favorite characters being saved.

I just love the authors writing style and the attention to detail. It feels as if you are experiencing everything they are. I literally gasped at some of the unexpected scenes. I can not put these books down. The character development gets better and better with each chapter. Now on to the third and final book.

The ending had me on the edge of my seat. I NEEDED more.

I heard that the third book was due out so I treated myself to a hardback copy of this second book.

I enjoyed being back with the characters and was looking forward to the next part of their journey. I say looking forward to it, it was quite tense and sad in places, but without those parts then it wouldn't have made the story what it was. Even though there is a lot of sadness, there is also hope and I liked that.

The book was well written in that I really felt for the characters and could imagine myself in the settings (not that that was particularly pleasant at times!). Just when you got comfortable with what was happening to the characters something happened to keep you on your toes!

Overall an enjoyable read and I can't wait to read the next book!

Not a bad zombie book that would be nice for a bedtime read. These survivors are not the smartest in the Apocalypse.

Did not finish.

Had to stop reading due to the relentlessness of the verbal attacks on Luke. The degree to which the author focused on him as a coward seemed out of proportion compared to some of the mistakes, thoughtlessness and crimes committed by other characters over the course of the two books.
