Exploring exactly what hidden demons lurk within everyone’s psyches, Nasty Astrology reveals all the deep, dark unspoken truths about the star signs.
Aren’t you bored with all the astrology books that tell you what nice people we all are? Don’t you know, deep down, that everyone’s character has a few flaws? Well, here’s a guide to the zodiac with a fun twist: it reveals the nasty truth about each sun sign that the other books hide! Nasty Astrology brings all those dirty little secrets about love, sex, and business right out in the open. Find out your friends’ hidden demons. See what makes work associates tick. Find out what everyone around you really thinks and feels, and their motivations, so you can push their buttons. With humor, wit, and no holds barred (no, really), Richard MacDonald unveils the unspeakable and illuminating traits of the zodiac.
What a useless joke. Several people were needlessly conned into buying this book by a Facebook comment. We had all been curious about how to begin with astrology. Not interested reading about the signs, but how to determine our full charts. This book is nothing but the writers opinions on the "nasty" attributes of each sign. Not that they are wrong, but this is not what I was expecting. Lesson learned.
At first I thought it was funny but after finishing it, it felt more like an annoyance and I immediately wished I could take my time back from reading it. Maybe it’s because it was written 20+ years ago but it’s not very relevant or spot on for being a comedic writing about astrological signs. Will keep it on the bookshelf in case any guests who visit me find it funny 🤷♀️
This is not your typical astrology book. Instead of your typical relatively balanced collection of trait of each sign, MacDonald gives you the dirt on the worst traits of each sign so you know what you need to watch out for in people you know. The result is an amusing read.
This was interesting, because I always want to know the negative sides of people/ signs… but the author tried a bit too hard to make it funny. I would’ve liked it more if it was a serious take
I like the concept of this book and if they wrote another one using Eastern astrology I'd read that too. Amusing, although some of the entries did get a little repetitive.
Wow! Of all the astrology books I've read, this one takes the cake.🤓 No, not nasty in the sexual sense. Nasty as in raw, real, everything on the table. I read my sign and a couple others I'm VERY familiar with and sadly it's damn near spot on. Ouch!😟 Heads up, you will feel attacked but if you're honest with yourself-which most people aren't🙄-you can't deny what is said. Anyhoo, if you decide to read it, enjoy!😎
A fun, tongue-in-cheek, and very sassy read that I think was more intended to start conversations at parties with good friends and loved ones. My sign's "nastiness" was fairly accurate, but that's because I know myself and could admit to the descriptions. It's a cheap buy for a laugh and some truths.
Because I tend to be pretty snarky, I absolutely adored this book. I don't know how accurate it really is, but it was a hilarious read. I'd recommend it to anyone who likes astrology but gets tired of reading the same sweet things about the signs.
