Can true love happen twice?

The last thing Chloe expects when she travels to New Hampshire is to end up with a mysterious Claddagh ring and a fated romance. If that isn't enough, she's thrown into a love triangle and destined to help a medieval country in peril.

Torn between the deceased lass he still loves and the modern-day woman meant for him, Laird Aidan Hamilton sets out with Chloe to protect King David II from Edward Balliol and his disenfranchised nobles, the 'disinherited.' A quest that ultimately means facing off with the dark brotherhood with which they are aligned.

Thrust on a whirlwind adventure alongside Scotland's Guardian, Donald, Earl of Mar, Aidan and Chloe wind up on a passionate journey neither foresaw. One that carries them down a path that tests Aidan's resolve and challenges his lonely heart. Will he remain devoted to his long lost love? Or will defeating the enemy mean embracing someone new?

How are two people who have been burned before by love suppose to find love with each other for the betterment of Scotland and Aidan's clan?

While each MacLomain (or in this case Hamilton) and their Broun must embark on a journey to help protect the rightful king of Scotland and while along the way hopefully find a love between each other that is only heard of in fairy tales. As I'm sure each couple will have their obstacles, Aidan and Chloe must overcome their heartbreaks from previous relationships, and in Aidan's case he must overcome a love for a woman that was never returned in a way he needed.
But a love that is shared between Aidan and Chloe is one that is shared across many of Aidan's lifetimes. It's such a beautifully written story and the love these two have for each other is the kind of love I enjoy reading about because the emotions are so strongly written I feel them jumping off the page!
Both Aidan and Chloe both sacrificed for their love. But in the end they both realize that as long as they have the love of each other, there really is no sacrificing at all.

Now I must wait to see how the dragon fares when it comes to meeting his modern day broun who is all about the numbers and has been in his head driving him mad for days.

What is a girl to do when she heads to New Hampshire to visit a friend and ends up with a mysterious Claddagh ring and one fated romance . She rolls with the punches . Laird Aiden Hamilton is torn between the love he lost and the love that fated for him. As he heads out to protect King David along with Chloe . They are thrust into a whirlwind adventure and a romance that will take them to places they never thought they would go and will Aiden realize that Chloe is more then just a distraction and that she might of been with him all along .
I love Aiden and Chloe so much , they are well written and complex. Aiden is a tortured soul that is caught between a love that he thought was his and the love that is fated for him . He is sexy and oh so stubborn and sometimes you just want to hit him upside the head to knock the stupid out of him. Chloe well there is more to her then first meets the eye . She is feisty and straightforward and I love hew she puts Aiden in his place a few times . She does have her own secrets and is scared of love because of what she went through . They are such fun characters to read and you will love them .
When we first met Aiden in book one I really liked him, he made it known that he will never love another . Maeve was his and he would love her forever . Now in book two we find him reevaluating what love is and who is suppose to be his . The author takes us on another adventure into the past . The story is a fun fast read and you will love the characters . It seems in this book the author dove a little deeper and got us to connect with the main characters a little deeper . I am really liking this series and can't wait to see where the author takes us with the men of the MacLomain clan . So if you want a story with hot highlanders and yes there are dragons in this series also. Check it out you will not be disappointed .

Sacrifices given for love

A Scot's Devotion follows Aidan and Chloe on their quest to save Scotland and wee King David from Edward Baloil and his group of disinherited knights.
Aiden is in turmoil because the woman he loved didn't love him as he loved her, she was in love with his cousin Cray. Asbury turns out Maeve died due to illness and Aiden as heartbroken. Faced with saving Scotland and uniting with his intended Broun lass he was determined to find a way to do his duty to King and Country without falling in love.

Chloe is a reporter from the 21st century, now faced with the daunting reality that she will have to travel back in time to medieval Scotland to aid the Maclomains in saving their country has her out of sorts. The fact that she has been having dreams she can't explain isn't helping matters. Chloe is very curious by nature so she needs to figure out what is going on.

Aiden and Chloe's journey is not an easy one, it's full of discovery and hard truths. Sacrifices must be made for those you love and that is what saves the day.

Fantastical!

I am in love with these books, the characters, the storyline and the history brought to life. A book is supposed to transport the reader, pull the reader into the story and become a part of what she or he is reading and this book series does just that! I have time traveled with each and every Broun lass and friends each and every book!
If you enjoy magic, one true loves, mystery, dragons, Vikings, time travel, good vs. evil, witches, wizards and history of Scotland then grab the first set of books! Start at the beginning because even characters past have a tendency of not staying dead and appear in later books all characters build and build its a magical series!!! Highly recommend reading, it'll transport you from your stress, your job, your own troubles to a time where men were men and acted like it, women were strong and loved with their whole hearts and could kick butt with their highland lads.

Great series

If you’ve read from the beginning, the depth of the characters and the world building is pretty amazing! I’ve loved this series since I read the first one, and own them all. There is so much in this one that in some ways it combines some of her previous worlds into a common community. Muscle bound, magick wielding, gorgeous Scots to fiercely loyal, bad ass Dragons, all who hold love as dear and true. Let’s not forget the strong, funny, and capable women who find their own brands of magick and enduring love across time. Take a wild ride with them all on the time travel highways of love. Though they can somewhat stand alone I would recommend starting at the beginning.

Extraordinary!!

I have been reading Sky's books for many years. Her world building and characters are alive and claim a place in my heart every time. They are each unique but fully developed. I would recommend this book (truly any book written by Sky Purington). Her grasp of history as well as her ability to make us believe that Dragons and magic are just as much a part of that history make the world come alive. I loved everything about this book. The adventure, romance, love and sex blend seamlessly for an unforgettable journey. MOST DEFINITELY RECOMMENDED.
I was gifted an advance copy in exchange for an honest review. I also had preordered book myself.

When Sky Purington writes a book, it's pretty much guaranteed that it will suck you in and never let you go until the last word. When you have given your immortality up for another so they can be happy, it's amazing what will come from that action. Chloe and Aidan are a wonderful couple, fighting with and for each other. This series has been written as if you have been there and lived during those times. I've loved reading the first 2 books of The MacLomain Series and will be reading the next one also. Also more of any time traveling book by Sky Purington will be read and I'm excited about that. These are at least 10 star books for me

A Scot’s Devotion takes the reader on a ride, with no warning of the sharp curves until you’ve already banked into one.
The story of Aiden and Chloe is one you’ll not want to miss, I promise you! I’m trying not to add any spoilers, which is difficult! Let’s just say this story is like no other of the MacLomain (or Hamilton)/Broun stories. This one stands alone with one major difference. That’s all I’ll say. TEN STARS!! Easily!!
There is so much emotion in this story, it will wring you dry! I LOVED IT!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Get this book!! You may want to the first book in the series "A Scot's Pledge" so you can follow the storyline.
I don't write my review based on the synopsis of the book because the author gives you that.
All I can say is buy the book, grab your comfy chair, your beverage of choice and come see how Aiden and Chloe's adventure ends. Do they stay together or go their ways? You won't be disappointed in buying this book!!

How do you even begin to open your heart to someone when you lost someone before and how do you love someone who tries to push you away? This story is more emotional and gets you all in your feelings. Aiden and Chloe are amazing and they will definitely bring you to your knees in their story, I definitely recommend this book.
