Vested Interest Box Set: Books 1-3 by Melanie Moreland is a set of a brand new prequel introducing the men of Bam, and the first three books of the series, Bentley, Aiden and Maddox.
BAM – The Beginning
BAM: The Beginning is a short prequel to the Vested Interest series by Melanie Moreland. This is an introduction to the three men who are at the heart of the company, BAM. The three men whom I am madly in love with!
Bentley Ridge, Aiden Callaghan and Maddox Riley were brothers by choice. They each shared a troubled past that made them the men they are today. This prequel is told from Bentley’s point of view. Bentley had a dream, a company he could start that would secure a future for both him and his two best friends, his brothers. A company where he would be doing something he loved to do, creating beautiful buildings. Each of the men had a strength, something different they could bring to the company.
Bentley
Bentley Ridge is thirty two years old, lives in Toronto and along with his two best friends, owns his own property development business called BAM. Looking from the outside in, it would seem that Bentley has everything, wealth, a successful business, a beautiful home. But when his day is over, he goes home alone to an empty house.
“There was something so easy about being in her presence. I didn’t have to be anything except me with her, and selfishly, I wanted more of that.”
Emmy Harris is twenty five and is a graphic design student. She was studying in the coffee shop when Bentley literally fell into her world. Initially, he came across as a cold, arrogant man but it didn’t take her long to see that there was so much more to him. He was sexy as heck, but he was also sweet and funny. For some reason he chose to keep that part of him hidden away. It’s that part of him she wanted more of. And it’s because of that part of him she said yes when he asked her for a date.
Aiden
Aiden Callaghan is Bentley’s best friend. Like Bentley, we know Aiden has secrets, all three of these men do. As soon as I opened this book, the prologue ripped my heart right out. I don’t know if I’ve ever had a reaction like that. I literally wanted to jump into the book. I then understood why Aiden was the way he was.
“She was like a sunbeam. My own sunshine.”
Cami Wilson is Emmy’s best friend. She is a fashion design student at the same school that Emmy attends. She lives with her older sister, Dee. Cami is a lot more open with her past. She shares it freely, as she does her feelings. There is nothing closed off about Cami. Her heart is huge as is her capacity to love.
Maddox
This was by far the steamiest of the first three books! And once again, Melanie starts this one out with a prologue that completely slayed me. Just a glimpse into the childhood of our dear Maddox and what made him the man he is today.
Maddox Riley is thirty years old, a couple of years younger than his two partners at BAM, Bentley and Aiden. Maddox is the numbers man of the trio. Numbers are easy to line up, to organize. In his life, his home and his office, Maddox needs to control everything. All is in it’s proper place, just like his numbers. Maddox doesn’t believe in love, in giving anyone else control over him. He learned that lesson the hard way. Maddox is also a bit of a silver fox, prematurely gray. Could he be any sexier?
Deirdre Anne Wilson, (Dee) is the older sister of Cami. Dee spent her life taking care of Cami. They were all each other had. Dee doesn’t believe in love either. She doesn’t feel she’s capable of the romantic kind of love.
I tried to introduce you to the three men of BAM and the three women who made them fall! I have reviewed these books in more detail individually. I hope you fall in love with them just as I did.

Vested Interest is the perfect name for a series that comes to life and moves right in to your heart.Bentley - The clouds are abundant, the precipitation is rampant and the end result leaves it's mark. Seduction just got complicated. (5 star)Aiden - A broken heart, a damaged soul and an unlikely heroine light up the night with compassion and romance. Moreland fires up the senses with some wicked temptation and heartfelt motivation. Inspiration is only an alpha away. (5 star)Maddox - Maddox is every dirty fantasy. He's a walking contradiction, a waking dream and a bad boy not easily tamed, but worth the drama. (5 star)

Bentley - I cannot say enough good things about this book. A stuck up suit with more money than he can spend, Bentley, and a free loving independent college student, Emmy, seem like a very unlikely pair, but when their chance encounter at a coffee shop happens these two become more than just passing acquaintances. When sparks fly and passion ignites their heartwarming connection makes the pages fly by. But when a business competitor uses Emmy to get Bentley to fold on a deal will Bentley choose love or money? Once Emmy is the pawn in the deal will she be able to stay in a relationship that can hurt her? With beautifully written characters and an emotional storyline this book is a must read. Melanie Moreland has a way of pulling the reader into her stories and never letting them go.
Aiden – Once again Melanie Moreland has created characters with such depth and a storyline that had so much emotion that I cannot convey how awesome this book was. Aiden is a character that the reader just wants to hug and help him get away from the horrific baggage he carries on his back. Combine him with the incredible Cami who is so strong yet needs to be loved so much that when they fit each other like pieces to a puzzle. They are one of my most favorite couples. I love the entire premise of the BAM Corporation and I look forward to reading more in this series. Take a bow Melanie Moreland - it is so well deserved.
Maddox - Words cannot describe how terrific this book actually is. Five stars are not enough. Melanie Moreland takes the reader once again inside the life of three very different men who are brought together because of their need to belong to something and to overcome the tragedies in their pasts. With the third book in the series, the reader is taken on an emotional journey that will make you laugh as well as cry. Maddox and Dee are the types of characters that fairy tales are made for. The two rising from the ashes and finding not only love but fighting and slaying the dragons in their pasts. I cannot recommend this book and the entire series enough. I would give this book 500 stars.

The original BAM and their stories. I love this series and the original men of BAM will always be favorites!
I'd read The Contract and The Baby Clause, but Bentley was the first Melanie book I read after I had started reviewing books, not just reading them. I think I'd won an ARC of it. And then I got myself on her ARC team because I simply adore her books and I wanted to get them in my hot little hands as quickly as possible.
I love Bentley, Aiden, and Maddox. Each man and their journey to a HEA make you love them more as each story progresses. Their friendship with each other, their friendships with the others in their company or business, their fiesty ladies, their's is an ever growing family by choice. And that is part of what makes their stories so special.
Humor, a dash of drama, steamy passion, interesting backstories, friendships, family, and caring is what keeps me coming back to Melanie's bookiverse.
Bentley
Sweet, hot, and intriguing
Written from both Emmy and Bentleys POV, we see Emmy's influence in humanizing, or maybe thawing, Bentley, a man who has become accustomed to keeping himself aloof.
Purely by chance he meets her in a coffee shop after tripping over her bag. Their meet cute leads to a sweet and hot love story with a little intrigue.
Definitely a satisfying read that brings us into their world and lays groundwork to get additional character stories on future books. Read it. :-)

I was looking forward to Aiden after reading Bentley and it did not disappoint.
The right amount of passion, friendship, love, and a dollop of drama makes for a very satisfying read.
Cami is spirited, loving, and caring. Aiden is determined to be unattached but he's all about Cami. He's damaged by his past but Cami shows him there's more.
Looking forward to Maddox.

Maddox will steal your heart!
Of the BAM men, I think Maddox stole my heart!! Loved his story.
I devoured this book and loved every word. He finds his HEA with Dee. So perfect.
He's a little damaged, but that doesn't stop him from falling in love. All he has to do is slowly conquer Dee's conviction that she'll never fall in love.
Their journey is filled with passion, spice, sweetness, a touch of drama, and totally satisfying love. I adored this book. Maddox and Dee will win your heart.
And not only do we get the original men of BAM but we also get some additional excerpts with the boys. Love it!!
And these three will get you all fired up to read everyone else's stories!!

BOOK 1 BENTLEY
This is one of those books I like, but I can't quite put my finger on why. Three men, Bentley, Aiden and Maddox. They are close friends all with more than their fair share of emotional baggage who grew up together and as outcasts became more than friends they became brothers and they all have their talents which they combine and use in their business and personal lives. The trilogy shows them all finding love, and this book is what starts that sequence of events bringing the three females who will be the love interests for the three men. It starts with the leader of the trio of men Bentley, meeting a young girl Emmy by chance and being captivated by her and how the relationship evolves.
There is nothing too deep or taxing in the story, there is an undercurrent of menace which is revealed towards the end but I had figured out who the person responsible was quite early on as the blatant hints and pointers were all there. It is quite naively written in a way as the characters are so nice, you don't expect some of the peril which occurs towards the end, but it is figured out and a new character saves the day, a young man who has been brought into the company and who after reading this I believe may eventually get his own story. The villain gets his comeuppance but even then whilst the villain is 'bad' it comes out that there are reasons why he behaved like he did, and everything he did throughout the story was eventually rectified and the good guys prevail even though the bad guy does pull one final move which really was quite shocking.
The story doesn't have a definitive ending as such as it is clear it will continue with the second of the series (Aiden). I give this book 3 stars
BOOK 2 – AIDEN
Same formula, same 'nice but damaged' male lead. In this case - very damaged. He finds love and saves the day when female love interest is in danger.
This one was a bit darker in content than the first story. Aiden's backstory was heart-breaking, and the danger surrounding the female lead was also much darker, which was something I personally preferred and you get the feeling Melanie Moreland was more into this character than she was with Bentley as there was far more depth to the entire story - most of her stories tend to be on the superficial side,
Still a park your brain at the door easy read but one with more substance than I was initially expecting. I give this book 4 stars.
BOOK 3 – MADDOX
The third part of this trio of books. This one was far more of a love story, and in this case, it was the female lead holding out, and the danger surrounded the male lead instead of the female. There is also a cameo appearance from Richard Van Ryan - the marketing executive from the book The Contract and throughout the story he becomes a close friend to Maddox, so I am foreseeing another The Contract book featuring Maddox at some point.
Despite the differences, it still was pretty much the same sort of formula a simple quite naive plot with plenty of morality and where the bad person always gets their comeuppance and there is a guaranteed happy ever after which tends to be super saccharine sweet, sometimes a little too sickly sweet. I would describe Melanie Moreland's books and writing style as a modern-day fairytale for adults (because of the sexual content) and I have to say despite all their very obvious flaws - the sickly sweetness which is far too excessive, the wholesome naivety and the holier than thou niceness of some of the characters they are becoming my guilty pleasure. I give this book 3 stars.

This is the 1st book in a new series and what an amazing beginning Bentley and Emma’s story is. Bentley is a wealthy businessman who is set in his ways and portrays himself as cold and uptight, yet when he meets graphic design student Emmy, she brings out a totally different side to him. These two may be total opposites but together they are perfect. This is a beautifully written story which is sweet, humorous, entertaining, and with suspense, which all had me completely intrigued throughout this riveting and addictive page turner. I cannot wait to read Aiden’s story next.
Aiden
This is the 2nd book in this amazing series and is Aiden and Cami’s story. Aiden is head of security at BAM and is haunted by his past which have left him with damaged and with secrets. Cami is Emmy’s best friends and is a fashion design student, who also has a past which she is upfront about it, and she can see through Aiden’s façade of being the happy go lucky man and everyone protector, and she knows he has so much more to give than he thinks. This is a wonderful story which is intriguing, and with secrets, suspense, undeniable chemistry, and love. I was totally enthralled throughout this amazing story.
Maddox
This is the third book in this phenomenal series and is Maddox and Dee’s story. Maddox has a heartbreaking past, and Dee was forced from a young age to take responsibility for her younger sister. Neither of these characters wants to have romantic relationships, until one of them changes their minds, and must work hard to change the others mind. This is a well written engaging page turner, which is filled with secrets, drama, humour, emotion, and is a definite must read. I was totally captivated and intrigued throughout. I highly recommend this authors’ work for all readers and cannot wait to read Reid’s book next.

The Vested Interest series in a box set is a must-get and must-read, I simply love Melanie Moreland's writing. her stories and characters are brilliant. We get Bentley, Aiden, and Maddox in this box set. Each story is enthralling, you will fall in love with each one of them. Bentley is the leader of the bunch and his story is first too. He’s a tough, no-nonsense guy with a very strict regime for himself. He’s so set in his ways, he’s kinda lost, but when he stumbles over Emmy, his heart falls right with him.
AIDEN
I knew after reading Bentley, that I wanted to know more about both Maddox and Aiden. Here in book two, it is Aiden’s turn. He’s a bit of a tortured soul of a man, one who doesn’t do emotional entanglements. H
Cami is the complete opposite. She’s light to his dark, and she wants to make Aiden her man. Aiden explains how he handles relationships and despite her agreeing to his rules, it’s obvious she wants more.
MADDOX
Maddox truly is the mystery man during the previous 2 books, but now it’s time to tell his tale, and that prologue? OMG!!
It tells so much, but also, not enough, that comes later. But, Dee certainly knew what she was getting into, at least in the beginning. What happens when friends with benefits becomes more than that?

I read each book individually as they were released and am a big giant fan! I love box sets as there is no waiting to see what happens next and they are conveniently bundled to keep organized. The three men of the Vested Interest series make up BAM (Bentley, Aiden and Maddox), a powerhouse development firm in Toronto, Canada. I also highly recommend reading the FREE e-book BAM the Beginning.
Bentley’s book is first and I so admired his vision for his company and his dedication to his two best friends whom he trusted and made partners. For years he was focused on his career success, but was lonely in his personal life, until he meets Emmy who turns his once structured life upside down. So good!
Aiden when young was filled with self-doubt and had a horrific upbringing. Bentely was such a wonderful friend and role model and repeatedly told him his many positive qualities. It was very real and heartbreaking at times, but Melanie never disappoints, because Aiden finds his soul-mate and forever partner in Cami.
Every book needs a Maddox and Melanie writes him so deliciously! He too had baggage and this book will take you on an emotional journey with him and his lady-love, Dee.

BAM! There went my heart!
Bentley is charming, wound a little tight and when he meets Emmy, he is immediately taken by her. He's worth a lot of money, but she doesn't care. This story is well written and literate. There were warm fuzzies and laughs and a little sadness too. The main characters were perfect for each other because each balanced the other, yin/yang.
Aiden is the complicated, funny hero of the second story. He's always eating, he has dyslexia which he has overcome to a certain degree. Cami is best friends with Emmy. She's going to the same school as Emmy. Aiden and Cami hit it off right away as soon as they meet. She's all in, but he has very low self esteem so he realizes that Cami has feelings for him and he for her, but he fights it. Then, when Cami is in danger, he decides to take the leap. He becomes a hero in Cami's eyes.
Maddox is the hero in the third story. He and Cami's sister Dee fall into a relationship quite soon after they meet through Emmy and Bentley. Again, we have an angsty hero who doesn't believe in love. Dee is the same way, wanting to be avoiding feelings, etc. They come to love each other, but he's ready before she is to commit. Great HEA.

Bentley - Due to a tragedy in Bentley’s past the only people has allowed close to him are his best friends Aiden and Maddox. Emmy is a student who has no problem putting Bentley in his place and he doesn't mind. These two are perfect for each other as Emma allows Bentley to have fun and she has no interest in his money and all Bentley wants to do is protect her and make her smile.
Aiden - Aiden makes it clear to women that it will only ever be physical and not to expect anything more. Cami knew from the moment she met Aiden she felt something unlike anything else she had ever felt. She will prove to him that he is worthy of being loved and is willing to be patient, but will he ever be willing to open up his heart or is she destined to walk away with a broken heart?

This was an emotional, intense read for me. I think Aiden's story was a bit more emotional than Bentley's with quite a few heart-wrenching moments. I love how Melanie writes believable and relatable characters – I want to be friends with all of them!

Dirty-talking Maddox who has control issues but shows so much vulnerability... This story gutted me at times. Perfect combination of passion, intrigue, loyalty & friendship.

Melanie Moreland had me swooning throughout the entire Vested Interest Series. I love how she put the OG BAM boys into one box set for all to enjoy. Bentley, Aiden and Maddox all have different personalities but will have your panties melting off all the same. You will get your fill of these best friends as they navigate life through business, friendship and love. There is plenty of drama and suspense along with some sexy time. This is a must read series!

I don't often write reviews. However, after reading these three stories, I just felt the urge. I thoroughly enjoyed reading about these three men and their transitions. Some might say these books are far fetched, but isn't that why we read romance? It takes your mind away from the real world and any lets you enjoy a little fantasy. All of the main characters were so likable. I can't wait to read the rest of the series! Take me away!!

Bently- I think this might be my favorite book of Melanie's yet. I loved the main characters. Emmy's a firecracker! It was a great story with other characters mixed in. There's also an evil plot twist that i didn't see coming. .Read this book, you won't be disappointed

It was really great to read Aiden's backstory. Cami's too! It would be interesting to see if the villain turns up again.
Maddox - There's romance, blackmail and the possibility of another book. What more can you ask for?
This book is the third in a series - go get the other two and keep going. All of her books are great!

Outstanding box series part 1
I absolutely fell in love with these characters and could not put down.
In this series we encounter three couples and their struggles to accept their love. The author does an amazing job of keeping the story light with laughter and tears as well.
I highly recommend this series and be prepared to fall in love with Bentley & Emmy, Aiden & Cami and Maddox & Dee.
Can’t wait to start the next box set.

Enjoyed this love stories. The friendship between them is pretty entertaining. It is a feel good book with a happy ending. I just didn't give more stars because it felt too good. Too much of perfection. But in general a good read

I love this box set. I’ve read all the books in the series and have loved every single one. If you have not started the series yet, you should start with this one. I highly recommend it and the next books in the series.

It's great to find the beginning
I read several of the books about these men and their family but I didn't read how BAM started. I love the past and their bond helped understand this big and unconventional family had begin.

Melanie Moreland writes some of my favorite books and the Vested Interest series is no exception to that rule. It’s a great series and one of the first series I would recommend reading from her list, after my fave book of course, Into the Storm.
