This is an Amish Romantic Suspense. This book pulled me into the story from the beginning, and it kept me pulled in the whole book. I like the characters, but this is a storyline/plot driven book. I loved the second chance romance this book had going on. I also loved all the suspense and action in this book. I did guess who did before it was revealed, but I did not guess who did it right away. So, Because I guessed who did it the twist was not great to me. I did enjoyed every second I spent with this book.
This is a book about survival and second chances. Its a great story for it also has forgiveness in its storyline. Naomi Kemp did what every Amish teen did with bad consequences. She did what she thought was best at time. Leaving behind Sawyer Zook. This story does a excellent job of showing Naomi & Sawyer finding their common ground with alot of work. Kathy does a excellent job of drawing you into the story. Its full of suspense, mystery and romance. Its a great story that gives you insight into certain issues. Its well written and worth reading. Amish Sanctuary is a story filled with suspense written by Katy Lee. This was my first story by this author but definitely will not be my last. I was drawn into this story from the first page as the author did a fantastic job starting this story out with drama, suspense, and an overwhelming need to solve the mystery. I absolutely loved the main characters and they became like friends. This author has a very unique writing style and keeps her readers interest until the final page. I love a good mystery but this one was just outstanding.
I was not given a complimentary copy of this book to read and review. I was not approached to post a favorable response. I have rated this story with five stars for meeting my expectations of a wonderful story that I can highly recommend to others. I just wish I could have rated it higher. All opinions are my own but honest.
Congratulations to Katy Lee for writing such an amazing story filled with drama, suspense, love, and definitely forgiveness for her readers enjoyment.
My review today is on the Love Inspired Suspense, Amish Sanctuary. I like the stories that Katie writes. I really enjoy the Amish stories and I really like the suspense stories so this one is a winner in my book. It's well written, action packed, and full of faith. I know you will love it.
Counselor Naomi Kemp left the Amish Community eight years ago when she went to an Englisher party and was attacked. Naomi finished school and went to college to become a counselor to help other girls who had been abused. Now she is returning to flee with her patient's baby to keep it safe from a killer. She knew the community wouldn't welcome her back but they should help a baby, right? On her way home her car is struck and she crashes. She flees from the car as the man who hit her is trying to get to her and the baby. Which one is he trying to kill? She goes to her old best friend's furniture store but her friend is dead and she finds the man she once planned to marry instead. Will he help her protect the baby?
Sawyer Zook is a widower. His wife owned the store but after her death it now belongs to him. He is shocked to see Naomi. She is brokenhearted about Lisa's death and doesn't understand why he had married her. Naomi was once the love of his life he must protect her and the child. He doesn't have a home of his own but lives with his sister. Things don't go well when they bring violence into his sister's home.
A dangerous journey to find the killer before he kills them. God has a plan for these two broken souls. A plan for a hope and a future. God has a plan for you too, a good plan and not for evil. Our world seems filled with evil and terror right now. God wants to help you but you must give Him your heart and make Him Lord so that you can free Him to move in your life.
Great characterization!! For a Love Inspired Suspense, I can’t believe I’m saying this but *trigger warning*. Nothing described beyond “violated” but it’s a theme and the ending definitely is reliving a nightmare again (can’t say too much) if I have had history with being attacked or raped, I would be extremely disturbed by this theme.
This book honestly was very informative for me. I didn’t know so much stuff about Amish - no technology, no personal phone, they have their own language, they call non-amish people ‘english’, so much more honestly. I was intrigued.
The story overall was average. Good for someone who’s very new to reading. It’s a closed door romance book which was a nice break from the usual spice/smut.
The mystery part is very predictable, you don’t even have to use your brain. There was barely any romance between the MCs. Side characters were unlikeable - I didn’t like Anna.
I didn’t like it how the FMC went back to being Amish. She had a good life in the “english” world, she was adamant about not returning to the Amish life, but she did. AND FOR THE GUY WHO, AFTER SHE GOT ATTACKED FOR THE FIRST TIME, SAID IT WOULDN’T HAVE HAPPENED IF SHE HADNT LEFT YEARS AGO.
Amish Sanctuary is very intense, fast paced and edge of your seat reading. When your friend entrusted you to care for her precious child, you do everything you can to make that happen including returning to a place you never thought you would see again. The hero and heroine are great characters. This story has a great blend of suspense, faith and romance.
This book is fantastic. I couldn't hardly put it down, I just had to know what was going to happen next. This story will keep you on the edge of your seat. What a thrilling story.
Naomi is on the run with a baby and she can only turn to her old life. a life she ran away from 8 years ago and hope that she can find help there. She over comes so many obstacles in a short period of time it is amazing for one person.
I have to say that this was a very good story. This was the first time I read a suspense story about an Amish woman. It kept me on my toes to find out what was happening next. I must say that I enjoyed reading this story. God bless you.🙏🏾💕❤️
I really liked this story! It was fast paced with lots of drama and suspense. I also enjoyed the sweet, second chance love story. I will definitely be looking for more from this author!
