(From the back cover) Have you ever wondered... Should God take the blame for bad things that happen in our world? Does modern science make religion unnecessary? Why does goodness seem so dull? What's our moral obligation to friends we don't like anymore?
Each week, the Ottawa Citizen runs a popular column called "Ask the Religion Experts." Leaders from various faiths present their answers to questions submitted to the newspaper. That's a Good Question Too contains the concise, crisp answers to over 80 questions as provided by Rick Reed, a regular contributor to the column.
Dr. Reed is someone I personally know, so I want to make that clear upfront. I also received this book for free as long as I promised to read it. I wasn't asked for a review, but I want to make sure to explain everything to be sure my ethical integrity is stated clearly.
I really respect this man and the articles in this book, answering questions that local citizens to him in The Ottawa Citizen. The questions are very helpful and very brief. Each question and answer only spans the front and back of one page. Nothing he says is difficult, and the topics are varied. One would do well reading one or two questions a day, or just choosing ones that seem to be of interest. He touches on bits of politics, ethics, and basic theology. He doesn't want to make the book something that Christians only read, but answers to questions non-Christians have. He does a fine job in this volume.
