Shivayya is a very strong and famous positive political leader. He is a leader for the people. That is why people love him very much. Laxmi is his wife. Even though is 10 years since their marriage, they have no children. One day a Brahmin called Shankar Shastri comes to their village with his 10 years old daughter. He settles down in that village as the pujari for the temple built by Shivayya’s ancestors. The little girl Deviyani fulfils Shivayya and Laxmi’s wish for a child. They get very much attached to her as she grows up in their village.
Devyani's father plans to get her married. Boy and his parents come to see Devyani. The boy agrees to the match but Laxmi and Shivayya are unhappy. Even Devyani is unhappy. Father understands and cancels the match.
Devyani joins tailoring class. But the tailoring tutor starts spreading rumors that he loves her. Due to this her father stops Devyani from going to the tailoring class.
One day Shivayya takes Devyani to a function where a film producer sees the beautiful girl. He wishes to make her the heroine in his film. But Devyani’s father refuses. Film producer Manikyam is adamant. He gets an agent to trap Devyani.
A very holy man comes to Devyani’s village and stays in her house for the night. Devyani’s father Shastri is impressed and plans to marry off Devyani to a nice boy mentioned by this man. But little does he know that things were moving according to the agent appointed by Manikyam.
Devyani gets married to Rajiv. After enjoying married life for a few days, Rajiv hands her over to Manikyam. Rajiv did this only for money. Manikyam is shocked to hear of this crooked plan of Rajiv. He saves Deviyani and keeps her in his house.
Manikyam loses a lot of money due to a flop film he produces. But Devyani agrees to save him by acting in his film “ANARKALI”. The film is a super hit and Devyani becomes a super star.
This story has a political plot along with the romantic plot I have described. Please read to the full story to enjoy both romantic and political stories running parallel to each other.
