The biggest liberal myths of the modern age are exposed and debunked.
Countless studies have proven that over 90 percent of Trump-related news coverage is negative, and the percentage of journalists that identify as Republicans are in the single digits. When liberals are running the show, you can bet that their narrative has gone unchallenged. If you tell a lie long enough people will begin to believe it, and that’s certainly the case with so many liberal myths that have become accepted as conventional wisdom.
In this book you’ll learn, among many other facts:
What happened to non-gun mass killings when Australia enacted strict gun control. The truth about “Scandinavian socialism.” How Obama twisted the numbers to appear tough on immigration. Why Mexico has stricter immigration laws than the US. How Bill Clinton faked the “Clinton surplus.” That the US doesn’t have the majority of the world’s mass shootings. Why statistics claiming that illegal aliens commit fewer crimes than the general public are bogus. The countless lies the media simply made up about the Trump administration.
If you’re in need of ammunition to shoot down liberal lies, this is the book for you.
Excellent book with a copious amount of citations. This book should be mandatory reading for everyone interested in gathering ammunition needed to defend free market principles and debunk media lies. I found myself surprised several times throughout the book by the facts revealed that undercut many left-wing myths. Highly recommend this book!
I enjoyed this book and was glad to read about some of the debunked lies and how leftists twist the truth to push their agendas. I only took one star off because it contains an awful lot of charts and graphs. I don't like to read charts and graphs. Those who do will love this book for the full five stars
It doesn't actually tackle any "liberal" mindsets to be honest. Liberals don't think immigration is a bad idea and statistics are in their favor, who knew that if you can't kill with guns you'll kill with a knife, and liberals aren't "socalist" they're capitalists who like social safety nets meaning that Scandinavian mixed economies are pretty good. If those Scandinavian countries aren't doing socalism then why can't we? it really doesn't make any good points in my opinion, but it does show you another point of view.
Politics. Which side can tell the most believable half truths? I recently listened to liberally slanted "Charged" and recognized there as with "Debunk This!" food for thought but don't feel confident with facts included and facts left out.
Great analysis with facts to back up the data! Well written and thought provoking. Recommended for those who need to have facts to back up their arguements.
Clearly cited all underlying research, poked holes in common leftist talking points. Strong use of economics as rationally applied. Fun and humorous to read to boot. And a great resource for all those Social media arguments that are too common in this polarized political climate (2020).
The majority of media loves the left , left good , right bad. Consistent Democrat inspired bias or left wing aligned media articles that claim certain apparent outcomes that favour the left , gets categorically debunked story by story by author Palumbo with facts.
Author makes his points and is correct but it reads like a dry text book with lots of data and not very entertaining.
A fun investigation into others perspectives. I enjoyed the cited works and followed a few up with other research. The discussion is what is important with any posited direction. I approach this book less as left or right. Less bombastic polarity. It is a necessary dialog.
An easy read. This book is a collection of essays written by the author, Matt Palumbo. Each essay is about 1-4 pages. Not only is this an easy read, it's chock full of fun facts.
