What an interesting twist to a romance! I won't ruin it with a spoiler, but I liked how the author structured this novel. I loved the character development with the main character, also - it was neat to watch her grow and evolve over the course of the book! I liked the characters and found them easy to engage with and root for! Tricia, you've done it again!
This is a romance novel unlike any other; it is creative, mesmerizing, witty, and has plenty of unexpected plot twists. Tricia Copeland grabs your attention from the very first page and holds onto it until the book's last words. This is the type of story you will want to read in one go; indulge yourself and dedicate a gray and rainy Sunday to enjoying the emotional rollercoaster the lead character goes on, but be prepared to get hooked on Copeland's writing style.
The book is both hilarious and thought-provoking and will be a massive hit with anyone who is a fan of romantic literature. It appeals to a broad spectrum of readers, both young and old. With this book, you should expect the unexpected, with an unlikely ending that even this most inquisitive reader will struggle to predict. Do not underestimate Copeland; she is a witty and intelligent author who is a credit to the romance genre.
I thought this book was a unique and interesting take on a HEA! The reader meets Chloe and we see the various men in her life. We also get her take on what would make for her happily ever after. I enjoyed the way this story is told and the various relationships Chloe has. They are all very different and have lead her to where she is in life. The reader sees the path she has taken and how things could be different for her. Her story is sweet, tender and has some heartache, just like life. I was lost in her journey and think you should take this ride as well!
‘I was going to say I love you. Yes. It’s perfect’
Author Tricia Copeland is originally from Georgia but now lives in Denver, Colorado and pens Young Adult novels with a paranormal tilt. Her books to date include Drop of Sunshine, Lovelock Ones, and two series – the Being Me series of five books, The Kingdom Journals of four books, and now a new stand alone novel – PERFECT.
One of the many aspects of Tricia’s writing, be it in her highly acclaimed paranormal novels or her stand alone romance novels, is her immediate connection with the reader by her gracious use of contemporary language in a tone that feels conversational (remember when we all use to have in-person conversations rather than texting and selfies?) and comfortably invites us into her characters’ personalities. In PERFECT, she escorts us through periods of romantic incidents of a young lass longing for finding Mr. Perfect. And she doesn’t stop with ‘engagements:’ Tricia creates a character in Chloe who bonds ideals of fruitful and meaningful living with finding an accompany force to match.
Supporting the above comment, Tricia opens her story with a longing from her character Chloe – “I miss Adam. It’s been a month since we’ve seen each other. I don’t know if I can do this anymore.” And swiftly her longed for Adam appears and proposes and a chain of events begins, one that carries through to the end. Comfortable atmosphere delivered with a wry humor – a fine opening for this interesting novel.
The synopsis of the plot distills the story well – ‘Chloe is smart, and driven to achieve the life she's envisioned for herself, but she also longs to find that special someone to spend it with. But how do you know when your current love is the one? Chloe refuses to compromise when it comes to romance and success. Powering through her sophomore-level college business classes, she’s done with the effort of distance-dating her high-school sweetheart. But when he proposes just as she hits it off with a hunky basketball player, she worries following her heart could send her bright future to the bench. As Chloe matures becoming a rising star in the fashion industry, love knocks another four times. But while each potential suitor eventually pops the question, only she knows her ultimate happy ending. Whose arms will embrace Chloe when she chooses her forever man?’
Tricia allows her romance to develop gradually, due in part to her accessible writing skills, but also to her colorful imagination and wry wit. With PERFECT, Tricia proves she is a first class conjurer of pure romance novels. Enhancing the pleasure of reading this book are the fine illustrations peppered throughout. Tricia continues to impress. Recommended for a wide audience.
I read an advance copy of Perfect by Tricia Copeland, which tells the story of Chloe, and how she navigates her new adult life through college and into the working world.
Copeland does a good job of drawing the reader in, and I found myself riding along with Chloe on the emotional rollercoaster of her life, and throughly enjoying the ride! Chloe is both a relatable, and an inspiring, character. Like many young women today, she has to discover for herself what she wants out of life, how to balance the demands of college and work, while finding the "Perfect" love. While much of this book focuses on Chloe's love life, it also shows what a driven young women Chloe is, and how, even with the ups and downs of her romantic life, she is still able to work her way up the corporate ladder.
Just as the title suggests, I found the experience of reading it to be the same.
Driven Chloe certainly knows what she wants, but will she get her happy ending? That was the premise that drew me in to read this wonderful novel by Copeland, and what a well-written story I found it to be. As I accompanied Chloe on her journey I found moments that made me smile as well as laugh. Of course it wasn’t all plain sailing, but by the end of the book I felt utterly moved and fulfilled for having read to the end. It’s something of a cliche, but Perfect was a real page turner!.All in all a great book with genuine emotion and substance. I’m sure fans of contemporary romance will live this as much as I did.
This story is different than most romance books you will read. It follows Chloe through college and beyond and shows how she thinks her relationship will lead to marriage yet then you get a different ending and things fall apart. Some chapters it is a what might have happened if she made certain decisions while other chapters shows just how things had ended. In some parts it got a little co during for me it over all the book was interesting.
I loved this book so much. Tricia has a way for drawing us all in for the ride! Join us as we follow Chloe on her journey in romance. This book is written very well and easy to keep up with. I have read just about everything Tricia has written and this book didnt let me down.
Firstly, I have read most of Tricia Copeland's books as I do like this author and I can advise that I wasn't disappointed with this book either. I love the way that Tricia grabs your attention right from the beginning of her books and doesn't let go all the way through. This is another very well written book with a great story that left me wondering what if Chloe (the main character) had made a different choice. If you enjoy reading romance then you will love this book Perfect. Highly enjoyable and highly recommended.
Perfect by Tricia Copeland was a creatively written book. It is written in a new way for Tricia. It was an entertaining story and challenged me to ponder what happens in the book and comparing to what happens in real life relationships. Kudos for Tricia and another great book.
Perfect is a fun and thought-provoking book to read because of its varying life paths structure. I’m always intrigued by the thought of how the big choices we make determine the path of our lives. Main character Chloe has to make such choices regarding college and career as well as in her love life. She has a good group of friends and a string of love interests, and her interactions with them are engaging. I especially enjoyed the author’s character development, descriptions of settings, and wit. Also, the ending was “perfect” for this story. I highly recommend this book.
This is the second Copeland book I’ve read (with the first being part of her Kindgom Journals series), and though I enjoyed that book, this one was a much easier read for me (as far as flow and style). It’s like a romance mystery, and it’s not racy/lewd like we often see in romance stories.
This book is unique in that it’s written with reader involvement in mind. Chloe is a solid character and is clearly driven by what she wants, even if she doesn’t seem sure of it at times. The character is not a hyper-emotional one, but Chloe has very apparent emotional depth we can feel. The lines in the book are relatable, and a good number of Chloe’s words and feelings are easily quotable phrases that run parallels to [our] very own lives.
Copeland did a wonderful job here. She deserves all the praise and attention (and more) that this book receives. This just goes to show us that this author is versatile and creative beyond any single genre.
Perfect by Tricia Copeland is an intriguing take on contemporary romance. Ms. Copeland’s creative way of bringing this story together, and the way she involves her readers- really made for a great read. This story is a little different from the other books that I have read from Ms. Copeland- and showcases her storytelling talents and confirms that she is able to tackle any genre. The premise of this book really intrigued me, and I loved the simple and elegant cover- and having enjoyed Ms. Copeland’s other work, I happily grabbed a copy to entertain me for an afternoon. Perfect is a standalone, light-hearted, interesting, and thought provoking read. It has emotion, humour, sweet and tender scenes, a ‘clean’ romance, and great characters. I enjoyed the way the story was woven, even if it was a little predictable at times. Looking forward to seeing what Ms. Copeland does next!
Perfect by Tricia Copeland was a good 4 star read. It took me just a bit to get pulled in, it felt like Chloe’s thoughts were all over the place.
Chloe is in a long distance relationship with her highschool sweetheart. She was missing him immensely, however when he shows up one day surprising her and sharing some news with her, she ends up making a very hard decision. Chloe has a vision of her future and the life she wants, she is determined to get it.
Who will she choose for her HEA?
Moving forward Chloe has quite the journey to finding her HEA. I had some LOL moments along with some hard moments with her. This was a great story of finding the Perfect life for yourself and being happy. I really enjoyed Chloe and all of the other characters, they added a great element to the story. The author pulls you right in with her writing. 1-click and get started today.
A different kind of love story where the girl through five different scenarios meets 5 different guys and accepts marriage proposals from each of them in that reality. Her life changes as each reality changes and some of the characters enter again later but basically it’s the story of a woman who was driven to succeed and rise the the top in her chosen field and she does that even though it left a lot of broken relationships behind her.
There is another book following this one so the question is whether Chloe will marry Mason at the end of this book who is proposal number five or will it be someone else?
These stories are poignant and I think people can certainly relate to them in their own lives. It takes two each time to make a relationship work and it’s easy to see from the next scenario that one of the two previous people certainly didn’t feel the way like they did as their own story played out. Otherwise there would have been no further need for another story!
I enjoyed each individual story though and recommend them as good reading as Chloe grows from a teenager to a woman vp of a major fashion house and her experiences with love along the way resulting in five marriage proposals!
I have read novels by Tricia Copeland before and loved them but this one has to take the cake and be my top favorite of hers. I love how Copeland gave this classic of a romance read and happily ever after and turned it around to something unique and different that we never knew we were missing. I loved how this book gives us a look at the complicated life that is dating as a young woman. We see the main character Chloe working through several different relationships and the emotions and changes in her that take place. I am not going to give the rundown of the relationships because I think that is where a lot of the character development is involved in this novel. It would just ruin too much of the plot but I can tell you that this book explores all of the issues that you could think of and makes you feel a little less insecure of the history you may have. I laughed and cheered for and with Chloe and I foresee a lot of others finding that within the pages of the novel. I look forward to seeing what we will see next from Tricia Copeland.
This a cute and mesmersing romance story. Tricia grabs your attention with her style and how the story progress it is not like you would imagine. When we meet Chole we go through her relationships and see the path which has been taken to get to where she is now. She draws you into this colourful world.
Perfect is a standalone clean contemporary romance. The main protagonist in the story is Chloe, I am fully Impressed with the character building of Chloe. The story resolves around her five Romance paths. She refuses to compromise when it comes to romance and success and that's the best and most attractive thing about her. The journey of Chloe from college student to successful career woman is really interesting as she keep trying to find the "Perfect One" for her.
There is a lot in this book to keep you entertained till the end. Once you start reading the book, you will try to complete the whole book in one go. The Author has done an amazing job by adding the Romance, fun, entertainment and creativity. I found the plot twists were really interesting and creative.
Read the whole story to know, which path she will choose or who is going to be her forever one? This book is a perfect blend of Romance and creativity and it grabbed my attention with the cover itself. I really loved the imagination of the Author and looking forward to read more such books of her.
Well if I could find nothing else to say about this book, I can say it was quite unusual for me. I have never read a book that had alternate endings and I could not imagine how that could turn out. Perfect by Tricia Copeland turned out to be a great story. I like how Chloe did not limit herself. I like her boldness and how she has these internal conversations with herself and her honesty. Let’s face it we lie to ourselves more than anybody. I can’t say how I wanted this to turn out and it may be that I need to mull it over a while. The ending was quite a surprise for me. A good clean romance that was not uncomfortable in any way.
Perfect by Tricia Copeland is a unique and interesting contemporary romance story that is easy to read and is well written. It is a little different to the usual romance stories and I think that is that uniqueness that draws you in as it twists the norms of a classic romance. It is also a fun read as we journey along with our main character as she delves into relationships and growth as a young woman towards maturing and adulthood. There is a lot to keep you entertained with fun and laughter, emotions and sweet romance.
Perfect is written by Tricia Copeland and is the first book I have read by this author. I really enjoyed this romance story; I came into it thinking it would be like the others and its not. This is a book I will suggest to friends anytime they ask for a good book. This book follows Chloe and her many romantic possibilities while searching for the perfect man. I loved Chloe and seeing her grow as the pages passed, the author did a great job with capturing everything so perfect for this story. This story sucks you in and doesn’t let you go. It can be read as a standalone.
5 Star Perfect by Tricia Copeland is a wonderfully written story that once I started reading I couldn’t put it down. I’ve read several other books by this Author but this one is my favorite yet. Chloe is a independent woman who is determined to succeed in the Fashion industry and on her way to success she takes us on five different paths to find love and happiness. I knew going in this was going to be different but I’m absolutely blown away. I had to know what was going to happen next. Which path will she choose? Find out what happens next in this must read.
Perfect by Tricia Copeland. This book will grab you and hold onto you throughout the entire time you are reading. There are plenty of ups and downs and twists and turns. I loved how Chloe changed and how her character grew throughout the book. I could not put this down until I was completely done. I fell in love with this story and the author's words just flow. I highly recommend this book.
In the search of Mr. Perfect and professional success, the intelligent and determined young Chloe Hahn Pham, about to finish her university career, shuffles her options and lives her youth while deciding unhurriedly the direction that her adult life will take. Multiple candidates appear on the sentimental horizon, and both Chloe's family and friends will be there to support her when her head gets spinning around, trying to decide who will be the chosen one. At the professional level, the options are also several: from keeping the accounting of a ranch close to home to becoming a star in the fashion business. Will the perfect future be what she has imagined or will some accident of fate change the course of her life?
Torn between Kentucky, New York and Paris, but also between school, work, family and romance, Chloe's story is, above all, a contemporary story of growth towards maturity and the search for personal success, directed by the motto "give what you have and never settle for less than you deserve".
A simple, fun, smart and sparkling read. Recommended if you like light romance and the idea of keeping your options open.

Una lectura sencilla, divertida, inteligente y con chispa. Recomendable si te gusta el romance ligero y la idea de mantener tus opciones abiertas.
Oh Chloe, I don’t know that I’ve ever been so invested in someone finding love. The options and situations that Chloe was in, and why they should or shouldn’t work out had me so invested. I feel like every person has been in the situation at one point or another when there is a love interest that you want it to work out, but the universe seems likes that’s just not what is in the cards. This book often times gave me the choose your own ending vibes where you got to see how it would work out, and what other options there would be if Chloe made a different choice. I appreciated the other characters as well. The pressure that Chloe felt from her Mom, but also where her Mom was coming from within that pressure. Kim, her wanting to live in the moment and reminder that you only get one life so you should live it to the fullest. Of all the boyfriends, I’d say Adam was a little intense, and Chase was probably my favorite.
I really enjoyed reading this book and would definitely recommend it. Especially if you aree looking for a nice lighthearted read.
Perfect written by Tricia Copeland is the first book that I have read by his author. I really enjoyed this book and plot even though I was confused at certain times and the twist you won’t put the book down. The characters are well written with strong personalities and unique quirkiness.

I have quickly come to love Tricia Copeland books. Perfect was my first romance novel by her, and it was much different. It is written in a very unique way, and it took me a while to catch on. I don't want to give anything away so I wont say much about it, but its very different from anything I've read before. The story follows Chloe from college, and through the next decade or so. She is an amazing female lead, because she is independent and brilliant and successful. She knows what she wants, and isn't afraid to go after it, even if it means compromising relationships along the way. She doesn't have a type, and I actually kind of loved all the men she dated throughout the story. From her high school sweetheart to a college basketball player, fashion industry, to IT. This book gives you a happily ever after, that you didn't see coming. Or at least, I didn't see it coming! Read it, you won't regret it.
