Treasure In Darkness

Rate this book

For all who survived the evacuation of Earth, the danger is just beginning.

Earth is nothing but a memory for the former flight mechanic, turned reluctant hero Taft Gaurdia, and the girl he loves, the determined Kaytha Morrow. Six years after winning a battle against the evil Sint Argum and his military might on Mars, no one has seen or heard anything from the inhabitants of the red planet since.

During a search and salvage mission at the space graveyard near Saturn, an unknown threat attacks! Is this the return of the ruthless Sint Argum and DeCorp or a new enemy emerging?

Taft, Kaytha and their friends must now unravel the mystery and protect their home on Xima before it’s too late.

A Fine Sequel to Embark

While I liked Embark, I really enjoyed the sequel, Treasure in Darkness. Quick paced and action packed, Book 2 of the Embark trilogy truly delivers. Bad guy, Sint Argum, oozes smarmy evil as he plots to destroy Xima. Meanwhile his most trusted underlings may not be as loyal to him as he thinks. On Xima, leadership has denounced good guys, Taft, Kaytha, and their friend's story that D Corp was behind the catastrophe that forced evacuation of the Earth. The friends, frustrated and concerned with Xima leadership's lackadaisical attitude, are planning their own defenses for the attack they know is coming. With a cliffhanger ending, I am anxiously awaiting Book 3.

Fun read!

This second installment was a lot of fun and sets up for a great third chapter. Lots of action, some good plot twists, and an exciting ending. Definitely enjoying this story, and looking forward to the conclusion.

awestruck, brad struggled to find the words to say. “awesome?”

Cold and quiet. The crumbled concrete walls, structures, gutted MMWs, dozens upon dozens of DeCorp vehicles… all lay scattered and destroyed in the wake of the unexpected attack on the Engineering District of MarsCorp.

A JJ. SYFY Action Adventure (ETID -B2)

JJ. Had penned the second novel of the Embark duo, which is a continuation of two companies now competing against each other for military and space contracts. The action in the second novel picks up speed and the excitement become more SYFY oriented. This is a much better novel than the first. In the first it daddy I cut and dry, but in the second it's like the author woke up to his subject matter. This is an excellent read for the genre.....DEHS
