Have we met? No? Well it's time to end that tragedy.
I'm a former firefighter/EMS guy who's picked up the proverbial pen and started writing bad boy romance stories. I co-write with my sister, Ali Parker, but live in Texas with my wife, my two little boys, my daughter, two dogs, three cats, and a turtle.
Yep. A turtle. You read that right. Don't be jealous.
You're going to find Billionaires, Bad Boys, Military Guys and loads of sexiness.
Something for everyone, hopefully. I'd love to connect with you. Check out the links below and come find me.
I love the guys of the Searing firehouse and I’ll always want to read more about them. This time it’s Mav’s turn as we get to know the enigmatic single father. The chemistry between him and his daughter’s kindergarten teacher, Allie, leaps off the page from the first moments we see them together. I think they’re a perfect pairing. Allie’s sweet sunny nature pulls Mav from his tendency to brood. And he offers Allie an all-consuming love she’s never known before. I love the sense of family in this book, whether it’s the family you’re born into or one you chose to make for yourself out of the people who matter, it’s all the same in the end. I can’t wait to see which Searing Savior is up for our reading pleasure next. I received a complimentary advanced copy of this book from the author.
Another hot one for Weston Parker. This is a great story and it was hard to put down once I began reading. Well-written with lots of twists and plenty of steam. This is Mav's story and was the 4th book in the Searing Saviors Series of gorgeous firefighters. The story is both emotional and heartwarming. Mav lost his wife in childbirth and is busy with his job and raising his adorable daughter, Olivette. He had no time for romance but his daughter's kindergarten teacher ignites his desires. No spoiler here, but this is a great book that was so much fun to read. You'll love it.
Turn Up The Heat 4 stars I purchased a copy of the highly steamy Florida based novel Turn Up The Heat (Searing Saviors Book 3) Allen and Brea by Weston Parker and this review was given freely. On the same day introverted PTSD suffering ex- marine and Searing firefighter/paramedic and ambulance/Box driver, Allen Yellich freezes during a call, there is a water leak at the station which floods the adjoining art gallery owned by cynical struggling bachelorette Brea and sets into action a chain of reactions resulting in many highly steamy and acrobatic scenes, scenes from the gallery renovation, and some frank Therapy sessions depicting vivid dreams and battle scene. A good story but high quantity of steamy scenes.
4 Ignite The Spark Between Us (Searing Saviors Book 4) 4 stars I purchased a copy of the sweet to mildly steamy Florida based novel Ignite The Spark Between Us (Searing Saviors Book 4) Mav and Allie by Weston Parker and this review was given freely. A well rounded story containing a mainly clean virgin romance with a touch of steam, a generally thoughtful and all around good guy and loving father,a loving but interfering grandmother and Allie's unfiltered best friend Candice. Single parent Mav Cantone struggles to juggle his firefighting job and being a single father with the help of his live in grandmother until he is offered a promotion, his daughter Olivette starts kindergarten,he finds himself attracted to the kindergarten teacher Allie, and his grandmother begins talking of moving to a retirement community.
Enjoyable read. This is the 4th book in the Searing Saviors series. This story is about Mav and Allie,. Mav is getting ready to send his daughter Olivette to kindergarten. Allie is the kindergarten teacher. When Allie meets Mav she is attracted to him, but she is a virgin and has no experience with men at all. When Mav takes an interest in Allie, she is the first woman to get his attention since his wife died and he knows he has to ask her to dinner. Mav loves how Allie deals with Olivette. I voluntarily received an ARC copy of this book and purchased a copy as well
I’m sorry but I just wanted to slap your heroine. I did not like her character but I did love your hero I just think he deserves someone better. I like how you bring some of the other characters from previous books but not the significant others it just seems a waste also the restaurant seems like a perfect place for books to become cohesive and it was just like you forgot about it after first book. I was disappointed in this book.
Loved the series but always left feeling empty about the other past couples but I felt the series could of kept going with the rest of the guys.Thats how much I enjoyed it.I feel a bit sad and happy.
In this story I really liked Mav, I believed in his struggles as a single parent fireman and liked how he handled himself both in his personal and professional life. I believed in the relationship between him and Allie and thought his Grandmother was great. I think you could read this as a standalone as there are no references to previous events from the series.
Possible series spoilers....if you've not read the previous 3 books.......
This felt wrong to me as if the crew were teasing Mav about his girl and when he was going to see her next, why didn't they do the same with Hayden and Derek or Allen, who's girl works next door to the fire station? Personally this made the story not feel connected to the series as surely they would talk about each others lives? Not mentioning the girlfriends and previous events or updates to their relationships also meant that there was no time frame for me to use to work out when this story took place in relation to the previous one. I will also admit that I prefered Mav in this story more than how he was in previous stories and that the details of his personal circumstances came as a shock, again I thought this might have come up in previous stories although there is a comment about him having a child in book 3.
As a standalone I give this 4 stars, as part of a series I would have to say it would be 3.5 to 3.75 stars as I didn't feel that connection when I expected to.
I am voluntarily leaving this honest review after receiving an ARC.
This is book 4 of the fantastic series, Searing Saviors, by the amazing best selling author, Weston Parker. These books are about some of the firefighters in one station and it is now Mav's turn to find romance. I must admit that I loved him in book 3 where he helped out the hero. He is a widower with a gorgeous little chatterbox called Olivette who is his pride, joy and reason for living. When he gets to meet her teacher, Allie, that Olivette has just started 'warming' towards they are both struck by mutual attraction. But is it appropriate? They struggle with their feelings towards one another but why? They are both single and needing love?Plus Olivette will certainly be encouraging them. he gets some teasing from his colleagues but I think that's because they like him and are pleased for him finding love. The chemistry between them was palpable and so well written that it was almost able to 'feel' their love for each other. The three of them are such wonderful 3-D characters with obviously Olivette being the heart steeling favourite. Written with passion and sensitivity such that I didn't want to put this page turner down. One to re-read as it's just so good [in fact the whole series is going to be read by me]. I received a reader'scopy of this book and voluntarily leave my honest opinion of it here. Most Definitely Recommended.
i read this book as part of an arc program. This is the fourth book in the Searing Saviors series. In this book, Mav is getting ready to send his daughter Olivette to kindergarten and he is struggling with her growing up. Mav is also offered a promotion at work, but he thinks it isn't the right time because his daughter needs him. Allie is the kindergarten teacher and she loves her job. When Allie meets MAv, she is attracted to him, but she is a virgin and has no experience with men at all. When Mav takes an interest in Allie, she is the first woman to get his attention since his wife died and he knows he has to ask her to dinner. Mav loves how Allie is with Olivette and how she makes his daughter comfortable and help her get over she shyness. Allie likes Mav, but she is unsure how to handle her feelings. I really loved this book. I loved the chemistry between Mav and Allie. Mav needed to come to terms with his wife's death and the fact his daughter was growing up and had questions. I liked Allie and thought she was so caring and really loved her job. Mav's grandmother was a great influence on both Mav and Olivette. Another great one.
Mav is a fire fighter who is still suffering from the death of his wife in childbirth. His daughter, Collette, is the darling of his life and he wants to make sure that her first year in school is an enjoyable one. Allie is a brilliant woman with an advanced degree in engineering, but her heart is in teaching. Olivette feels an instant connection to her teacher and so does Mav. Allie seems to be the one person who can pull him from his loneliness and brooding. They develop feelings for one another and Mav asks her out. Their evening doesn't go quite as intended and they give it another try. Confronting feelings that are hidden or new, it takes them a number of starts and stops to get their act together. When they do, the spark fly and everything is as it should be. Olivette steals the show with her sweet and goofy personality! Weston Parker has written another addition to the Searing Saviors series that sparkles!
This is a very emotional story of a single father trying to raise his daughter after his wife died in child birth. Mav is a firefighter with the Searing Fire Department and with the help from his grandmother they are raising his daughter Olivette. Olivette is now ready to start school and Mav has an immediate reaction to Ms Branson the kindergarten teacher. Allie Branson is a caring teacher and she helps Olivette to be less shy. Mav asks Allie out on a date and she accepts. Talking comes very easy with each other but the chemistry is undeniable between them. Allie has a secret that comes between them and she cuts short on the budding relationship. There are a few hiccups that come between them but in the end we all hope for a HEA for all three of them to be a family. I enjoyed this touching story written by Weston Parker.
Allie, a kindergarten teacher, meets Mav, a firefighter and single dad, when he comes to the parent teacher meeting before his daughter’s first day of school. As the story progresses sparks fly, roadblocks get in their way, and telling the whole truth is the best way to ensure a happy ending. Weston Parker had no trouble igniting sparks in this single dad romance read. From the first meeting there was a believable connection and enough self-doubt on both ends to keep the story engaging. I really love his writing style and can’t wait to read more from the series and the author.
I received a free copy of the book from the author. I had the opportunity to review or not.
This is my first book in the series. I enjoyed the story of Mav and Allie. Secondary characters were great as well. I really liked his grandmother! Mav really cared for Allie and she for him, so I couldn’t really connect with the problem that Allie initially presented with. Ok, might be rare these days, but come on, it’s hardly a deal breaker for most guys.
Olivette seemed like a cute kid, but Allie’s best friend needed to chill out, just a little. Mav’s reluctance to move out of the rut his life was in was realistic. I could see he was handling his situation by keeping the same routine. If one thing changed, it probably would throw him off his game.
Overall a good one from the author that is enjoyable. I’ll read some of the others in the series to discover my favorite.
This is book 4 in this series and I have to say I’ve loved each one so far. They are stand alone books, however there’s a cross over of the guys mainly because they’re part of a team. I have to say Mav is my favourite so far, he’s a package deal with his adorable daughter Olivette and they are an awesome team. Allie is adorable and fun and so perfect for Mav but also for little Olivette with her natural affinity to children. Mav and Allie are great together and it was therapeutic to share their journey. I received an advanced copy of this book and I’m leaving a voluntary review. I honestly could not recommend this series or this book more.... Weston is a great writer and this is another smash hit for me.
I purchased a copy of the sweet to mildly steamy Florida-based novel Ignite The Spark Between Us (Searing Saviors Book 4) Mav and Allie by Weston Parker and this review was given freely. A well-rounded story containing a mainly clean virgin romance with a touch of steam, a generally thoughtful and all-around good guy and loving father, a loving but interfering grandmother, and Allie's unfiltered best friend Candice. IGNITE THE SPARK BETWEEN US (Searing Saviors Book #4) By Weston Parker
This is a light hearted fast read between Mav, a single father firefighter and a kindergarten school teacher named Alli. Widower father Mav meets Alli when he takes Olivette to school on her 1st day and Alli drops her papers and he helps her pick them up. They are attracted to each other from the start, but she is hesitant due to her position as teacher. Mav has been alone for a long time and is finally ready to date this woman. They have chemistry, it is a solid story with characters you care about, and I am really enjoying this Searing Saviors series. This is a 5 star read.
Sweet romance that turns into the truest kind of love of all. Allie is a schoolteacher who falls in love with a father of one of her students. Allie has never been in a relationship before and as things happen, she freaks out, literally, over everything. She is overthinking everything. Mav is in love with Allie, but is their relationship doomed, since Allie has never been in a relationship before and doesn’t know how to act or what to do or how to respond to situations that she has never come across? Mav is trying so hard to give her space, but he knows his love for her is the real thing. A really good book. They go through trials, but they come out happily ever after in the end.
I have to say this is one of my favorites in this series so far. I absolutely love the Searing Firefighters and glad to see Mav has a chance to find love again. He is a single father with a beautiful 4 year old daughter who lost his wife during childbirth. Olivette is getting ready to start kindergarten which he is so not ready for but what knocks him on his heels is her teacher. Allie is beautiful, young and so very sweet and the connection these two have from the moment they meet is sizzling. Will he be able to put the past behind him and move on? Will Allie want a ready made family?? You are going to have to read the book to find out, you will not be disappointed.
Great addition to the Seating Saviors series! This time is Mav’s turn to find HEA. As a single father, he definitely wasn’t prepared to love again but Allie ignites the spark in him. Their chemistry was palpable and sizzling hot right from the start! I was a bit annoyed at times with Allie due to her overthinking everything and sending mixed signals to Mav. But was glad that Mav wasn’t giving up on her and they managed to get their HEA. Ending felt a bit rushed but was still sweet and enjoyable. I was hoping for some updates on relationships from previous books, maybe in the next one.
I received a complementary advanced copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving my honest review.
Mav's sole focus in life is his daughter.. After losing his wife he will do everything he can to not only protect her but to show her love and be there for her. Olivette is now starting kindergarten and Mav's afraid to let her go .. When he meets her teacher, Allie he knows Olivette will be okay and there is something there thinking he will to. If he crosses that line and it doesn't work out will it ruin everything for his daugther?
Allie can't help the sparks between her and the hunky fire fighter but her concern is dating a parent. She knows it crosses a line but she wants Mav more than anything. Can she truly give him herself?
Mav Cantone is a firefighter who also works at the same station as the other guys in this series; Hayden, Derek and Allen. He is also a widower with a four year old daughter named Olivette, who has his reason to keep going since his wife died. When Mav heads to his daughter’s school for parent-teacher interviews, he meets her Olivette’s teacher Allie Branson and the sparks start to ignite almost immediately. Though Mav tries to keep things professional between them, but with each smile from Allie, he finds himself wanting more. Will Mav and Allie be able to start a new family together? Or will Mav’s past loses keep him from ever really loving again?
This was a stirring novel about overcoming grief and being open and honest with those you love. Mav is a widowed single dad and full time firefighter. Allie is a pre-kindergarten teacher. When these two meet on the first day of school, there's an instant connection yet there's also a line in the sand they shouldn't cross. Ignite the Spark Between Us is filled with heartache, secrets, grief, humorous wit, uncertainty, doubts, passion, and love. this was such a well written captivating story with wonderful characters that readers will fall in love with. I absolutely loved reading this book and I can't wait for the next book in the series. "I voluntarily reviewed an ARC copy of this novel."
I felt that this book didn’t do the title justice. And this is going to be my first ever spoiler review. I loved Mav’s character and how he was portrayed as a father. I would have liked to see him be more open about his deceased wife in the beginning and felt there could have been a better story here - with loss and growth. I enjoyed the heroines compassion for her students and her heart but felt she lacked hugely in well thought out decision based off her actions. I just finished reading this and cannot even remember her name! She’s supposed to be memorable in all aspects not just characteristics.
HOT 🔥🔥 YEP!!! This series just keeps getting better and if course HOTTER!!! LOL. This Mav's story. He is a single father dealing with all that , his job , and not enough time in the day to do it all . Something a lot of us can relate to. He meets his daughters teacher Allie and sparks of interest are ignited!!! I won't give anything away except they both have issues that they need to work thru. Please PLEASE READ !!!!! It kept me up late finishing it!!!! I received an arc for an honest review.
Mav is a single father taking care of his daughter after his wife died. He’s decided that he’s going to just make his daughter his priority and work as a firefighter. But the day of the parents meeting the teacher before school starts changes that. His daughter if going to start kindergarten and he meets a woman in the hall and it turns out Allie is his daughters teacher. They have an attraction but he puts up roadblocks but will she break then down so that they have a chance to see where it goes? I voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Reader Copy of this book.
A hefty dose of red hot spiciness with equal parts warm and in need of mending hearts, the fourth story out coming out of the Searing Saviors Fire Department. Between Mav, his daughter Olivette and a fantastic Kindergarten teacher Allie is a spectacular page-turning blend of everything I want to read! Such a passionate web weaved! Tugs at heart, while putting a smile on my face. With every creative story that comes out of this fabulous series, I fall farther down the rabbit hole for these guys! A must-read! Along with the first 1-3!
This is the story of Mav and his daughter, Olivette. Mav lost his wife during childbirth, and doesn't have time (or the inclination) for more than a one night stand. When Olivette starts school, he is surprised at his attraction to her teacher, Allie. Allie is young and beautiful and he fights the attraction he feels towards her, until he cant'. This a beautifully developed story about healing, finding love again, and has a wonderful HEA. I received an advanced readers copy of this book and highly recommend it.
When firefighter and single dad Mav meets Allie, his daughters kindergarten teacher they have an immediate attraction with sparks flying between them. The author does a great job building their story and bringing it to life with his descriptive writing and detailed scenes. He has a way of delivering emotional, sexy and beautiful love stories that are always at the top of my reading list and this is one to read over again. I loved this book/series and am looking forward to his next one!!
I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book. All opinions in this review are my own and freely given.
