Eager Little Beaver

Rate this book
Biff is a playful young beaver who watches a dragonfly swoop through the air over the lake—and wishes he could be a dragonfly, too. But when he tries to fly, he simply splashes into the lake. Later, he sees baby swans and bear cubs—and he finds himself wishing he could be like them. Then one stormy night, the howling wind nearly wrecks the beavers' home. In the morning, Biff watches his mom and dad busily repairing the storm damage. That looks like fun—and before long, this eager little beaver has joined in on the repair work. It is fun! At last, Biff is happy just being a beaver. Beautiful full-color illustrations on every page capture the forest's atmosphere. Toddlers will love both story and illustrations.

I love "Eager Little Beaver", and the chorus of a song by Audioslave sums up the main idea of this book: "To be yourself is all that you can do".
