Good read

This series is a very different type of paranormal shifter read. It doesn't totally follow the "guidelines" of other shifter books. It perfect to someone looking for something different and entertaining. It's not the usual drama/angst heavy read. If anything, it more just entertaining.

3.8 ⭐s Shifter Secrets
This novella was a good shifter story. I love rescue tales and this one involved a Human and a pack of savage Warthogs. His rescue were turned out to be someone even scarier than the determined Hogs a very large Mountain Lion. The Human had gotten injured during his chase by the Warthogs.

The Mountain Lion or Puma was very sensual and how he cleaned up and cared for his house guest's wounds. And the things he did to ease his tension left them both panting. There was an unexpected exciting conclusion to this story. It was enjoyable and easy to read.

This was a short, fun little frolic with great descriptions and an engaging writing style. The premise was short and simple, but I found the ending cute, especially the surprise about Michael. All and all, it was a nice Sunday read.

A different kind of shifter story, but not. Michael is on the run from a herd of feral pigs when he runs into a cougar shifter, Lev who saves him. Lev takes him into his home and they connect. This was short, sexy, and I liked the twist at the end.

The beginning definitely got my heart pounding.

Michael made me laugh when he couldn’t stop ogling Lev’s junk lol. He pretty much had his head in the gutter from the moment he saw Lev. Michael turns out to be something, I didn’t expect which was a pleasant surprise.

Lev was very hands on, trying to massage the tension from Michael’s body. This massage session was sensual, erotic and hot.

The ending went over my head. One minute Michael comes out of the cabin to face the group of hogs and then a whole bunch of small animals come out of the woodwork to save the day. This part felt rushed because it literally came out of nowhere.

For me, there are two morals to this story. 1) Size doesn't matter and 2) Strength in numbers. Michael is being chased by a pack of feral hogs and almost gets caught. Lev is a mountain lion shifter that saves Michael from the pigs. Michael is very nervous at Lev's house, but can't stop or hide his attraction. Michael has friends he was camping with but forgets about them while he's with Lev. Lev is convinced that the hogs won't return, but they did. Now Lev will find out Michael's secret and why the hogs are so persistent. This was a really steamy short story that to me was a lot of fun. I requested an advanced reader copy and am under no obligation to leave this review.

Bigger is better? Michael, hedgehog is running away from hogs who consider him a lesser species trespasser. Lev is a feline shifter that saves Michael. They are attracted to each other and get acquainted at Lev's place. Lev presumes the hogs won't return, but they do. Can Lev protect Michael? Are they alone facing the hogs? Can they become a couple? There are a few surprises that engage in the fracas. I wish there was more background and this was a longer story that expanded on Michael & Lev's relationship. They are an adorable couple and worthy of more. Nice story. I received an ARC from Booksprout for a review.

For the length of the book, there was actually a decent amount of story packed into this book. Michael and Lev were a cute couple and I liked the chemistry between them. I did find parts of the plot and world-building a bit confusing. I think the story could have done with a bit of expansion to give a few more details and background.

This is an interesting short story of a hedgehog shifter chased by hog shifters and is saved by a cougar shifter. The hogs are after Michael because they see him as a trespasser as he is lower on the so-called food chain. When both are confronted by the hogs, all of the smaller creatures of the forest who have been hunted by the hogs work together and defeat them.

Hog Wild: an MM Shifter Novella by Ellen Mint is an awesome story to read. This is book is number two in this awesome series that I have read writen by a brand new author for me to read. I highly recommend this awesome story to everyone who likes reading about LBGT and paranormal romances.
