Devine Desire is book three in the Lotus House series and told this time the story of veteran yoga instructor and artist Mila Mercado (alias Wildcat) and new instructor and musician Atlas Power (alias Curly). Each book in the Lotus House series is a sensual, spiritual and romantic experience featuring lovable characters so easy to relate to. And this one was no exception.
Mila is a strong, independant and spunky woman who is only devoted to her teaching, her art and her best friend Monet. She’s at a turning point in her artistic career and her only goal is to avoid any form of outside distractions, and in particular to avoid at all costs her sexy, overconfident and devastatingly handsome fellow yogi, Atlas. Shocked yet thrilled by Atlas’s passionate and combative personality, Mila can’t help but feel she’s standing on quicksand when he’s around. Mila has abandonnement issues and only had men in her life to scratch a sexual itch and not participating in anything of value. She has always been the one in control and even if something draws her to Atlas like no other, he’s a distraction of compelling proportions that would only jeopardize her career plan.
For all his confidence and talent, Atlas is also dealing with professional issues. Driven by the desire to make his dreams come true - to find a label willing to take a chance on him and his music, Atlas will stop at nothing to ensure that one day his passion became his job. Teaching yoga gives him an outlet not only to make money, but also to find himself. I enjoyed this volatile duo with barbs always ready to fly and the instant sexual tension that cracked and zipped between them from the start. Author Audrey Carlan once again delivered a beautifully written romance full of heat, passion, humour and very blush inducing workshop sessions. I absolutely love The Lotus House clan, the characters, both primary and secondary are utterly likable and I can’t wait to read Limitless Love - Monet and Clayton’s story.

4.5 dazzling Stars
HOLY HOTNESS!!! Whoa, this book is one hot tamale you guys. When I read the blurb at the end of Sacred Serenity, I was so excited Mila and Atlas would have their own story. Of course Audrey Carlan DELIVERED! This book is seriously HOT and also full of passion, heart, and a gorgeous love story. You do not want to miss this.
Mila is a yoga instructor by day and an artist by night. Her dream is to show her art and open an art studio someday. It’s hard to find someone who will appreciate her art for what it is … and what is it? It’s naked hotness. Oooh! I really appreciate her art … like A LOT! Mila was asked to attend a new yoga class by none other than the new sexy instructor Atlas and report back to the studio owners. What she did not realize is that Atlas teaches a very controversial and erotic form of yoga. What did Mila get herself into???
Atlas is also a struggling artist. He teaches yoga but his big dream is to write and perform beautiful music. He performs at his friend’s bar at night, hoping to be discovered, but he has not had much luck and unfortunately time is running out. He will have to give up his dream soon if he cannot find a label company that will give him a contract. Mila and Atlas are more alike than they realize but together they are like fire and hot oil which makes for a very angsty, passionate romance. I adore these two main characters. Mila is a spitfire. She does not do complicated relationships – more of a hit it and quit it attitude. But when she met Atlas everything seems to change. Atlas is an all sexy, alpha, hot musician. I dig the curly hair by the way. Atlas is not usually a commitment type either but there is something about Mila that he cannot help but to claim as his own. Mila and Atlas are both relationship virgins and have never been in love (how cute is that right?). So for these two it’s trial and error and lots of ups and downs. They fight constantly but they have “normal sex” afterwards, which is always fun There is a reason for their turbulent relationship though. Mila and Atlas both have painful pasts that make them gun shy of having deep connections with someone for fear of abandonment. They both need to deal with and lean on each other if they ever want a chance at a true relationship, romance, and love.
So the erotic and smoking hot sex scenes? Audrey Carlan’s GOT IT DOWN. I love Mila and Atlas - their love story is passionate, super steamy and sensual. It’s also so sweet which sure melted my heart. Audrey’s writing is gorgeous as always. Fun, witty banters and beautiful storytelling in between - I devoured this baby in one sitting. Sexy, steamy hot, heartfelt, sweet, fun – MUST READ!
Lastly, I am super excited Moe will have her own story next with the mysterious Clayton.

**5 Wildcat dazzling-duck loving stars.**
This Audrey novel was a different read for me in the best ways possible.
~Sidebar, I now partake in Audrey's social media groups (Which is super awesome and cool in its own) why it's important in this review, is I see her personality and witty banter firsthand and this novel is chok-full of it GAH, YEEEESH and I LOVED it!
She brought Mila & Atlas to life perfectly within the world of Lotus House. They are but two artists struggling to bring their passions to life, and owning their choices along the way. As always with Audrey's writing, the side characters stand on their own, and the multi threaded story lines weave together perfectly to create one helluva plot.
I have never, ever highlighted so much of a book. Usually I stick to quotes that jump out at me, unique wording or phrases, something funny, etc. Instead, I found myself elbows deep in multi-colored highlighter land, my kindle probably thought i'd gone off the deep end.
That being said, with the next Lotus House duo being offer up in this novel (Monet & Clay) I chose a highlight that I'm hoping brings their story full circle.
(Clay to Atlas) "If it walks like a duck, quacks like a duck, looks like a duck...man, it's a fucking duck" Bring on it Clayton, I pray pray pray Audrey hands you your ass, and you end up eating your words, quacking like said duck.
As for Mila & Atlas, I urge you to take their journey and be swept up in their sweet melodies and artistic abilities, you will not be disappointed!

Come. Let us sit and do our yoga-breaths...because I truly shall need some in order to adequately compose my thoughts about how much I loved--let me repeat, LOVED--this book.
My fondness for the Lotus House series is no secret--but honestly, this book even stands out from the series itself, as a novel that stands "above the genre" in terms of how beautifully it embodies the magic of two lonely, broken people coming together and exposing their souls to each other, risking all their safety valves for the hope of finding something greater than themselves.
At first, both Mila and Atlas believe that such a "higher calling" will be answered in the form of their creative art--Mila a painter, and Atlas a musician--but as their relationship grows, they also begin to realize their views toward their mediums does too. I have to say that this is one of the deepest views I've ever read of the creative process, and how highly creative individuals get locked in to their perception of how "success" is defined, instead of trusting their spirit about the true path of creative fulfillment. It was simply beautiful...and blew me away to the point of tears.
The things you WILL find in this book, that have come to be the hallmark of a great Audrey Carlan read, are passion, heart, humor, and a true connection to the hearts of these two lovers.
I could say I'll treasure this book in my heart forever, but that's a lie. This one has become a precious keepsake in my soul.

Holy moley!!!! I needed a fan while reading this book. This is my first book in this series and whoa what an intro!!!! I will be going back and reading books 1 and 2 ASAP!! Mila, what a woman!! Strong, fiesty and a woman who does things her own way and an artist. Atlas, man oh man!!! He is sexy, strong and a musician at the core. Both are yoga instructors but have very different views on how and what they teach. Definitely made the sex more awesome ;) Seriously, December 27th, read this book!!! You will not regret it!!

Am wenigsten mochte ich hier manche Dialoge und Szenen, die ich einfach unrealistisch fand, vor allem wie unangemessen Leute in aller Öffentlichkeit miteinander reden und auch Mila und Atlas ständig und überall miteinander rummachen.
Atlas unterrichtet nämlich Nackt-Yoga und schon bei der ersten Stunde begafft er Milas nackten Körper und fällt über sie her. In der Hinsicht zeigt er keinerlei Professionalität, auch wenn da noch mehr Faktoren mitspielen. Klar, zwischen den Beiden läuft etwas, aber ein wenig mehr Selbstbeherrschung sollte man doch erwarten können.
Und in jeder Stunde haben die beiden sehr intime Momente, als wäre sonst niemand da, aber dem ist nicht so! Also bitte, als ob die Leute nichts mitbekommen und wenn doch, gar nicht darauf reagieren!
Bei solchen Szenen habe ich mich einfach sehr unwohl gefühlt und fand sie eben auch nicht realistisch.
Abgesehen davon fand ich das Buch einfach sehr durchschnittlich.
Mila und Atlas unterrichten Yoga und wünschen sich, mit ihren künstlerischen Talenten - bei Mila Kunst, bei Atlas Musik - erfolgreich zu werden. Beide haben auch schon familiäre Dramen durchlebt, die ihnen Beziehungsängste beschert haben.
Sie sind beide aufgeklärte Erwachsene und sie schlafen miteinander, weil sie sich eben sehr attraktiv finden und Lust drauf haben, und entwickeln dabei wider Willen Gefühle füreinander.
Klingt nicht originell? Ist es auch nicht.

Schon letztes Jahr habe ich die ersten beiden Bücher der Lotus House Reihe gelesen und dann irgendwie die restlichen zwar gekauft, aber leider nicht mehr gelesen. Das habe ich mit Teil 3 Sinnliches Verlangen jetzt nachgeholt.
Was passiert in diesem Buch?
Mila ist mit Leib und Seele Künstlerin, allerdings hat sie nicht ganz so viel Zeit für ihre Kunst wie sie gern hätte. Denn hauptberuflich ist Mila Yogalehrerin. Als sie von den Besitzerinnen des Lotus House gebeten wird an der neuartigen Yogastunde eines Kollegen teilzunehmen, ahnt Mila noch nicht, dass dies ihr bisher so geordnetes Leben durcheinander bringen wird.
Konnten mich die Protagonisten überzeugen?
Leider muss ich hier sagen, dass ich besonders mit der Protagonistin so meine Probleme hatte. Sie war eine sehr toughe und manchmal auch hart anmutende Frau, die durch ihre Geschichte gelernt hat niemanden zu sehr nah an sich heranzulassen. Genau aus diesem Grund war es auch manchmal ein wenig schwer eine wirkliche Verbindung zu ihr aufzubauen. Denn so wie sie Atlas immer wieder von sich gestoßen hat, so wurde man auch als Leser immer wieder vor den Kopf gestoßen. Erst im Verlauf des Buches wurde Mila ein wenig weicher und auch freundlicher, hat vor allem nicht immer mit einem bissigen Kommentar geantwortet, was wirklich geholfen hat, sie sympathischer zu finden. Dennoch hatte sie in der Mitte des Buches noch einmal eine Phase, in der ich sie am liebsten geschüttelt hätte, um ihr ein wenig Vernunft einzubläuen. Denn mal ehrlich, so starrsinnig wie diese Frau kann man doch gar nicht sein. Glücklicherweise hat sie sich nach einer Weile wieder eingekriegt und hat besonders am Ende der Geschichte auch mal ihre weiche Seite gezeigt.
Atlas war da das genaue Gegenteil von Mila. Denn wo sie verschlossen und eher bissig in ihren Antworten war, war er offen und freundlich und zu jedem Spaß zu haben. Natürlich hatte auch er seine Probleme, besonders mit seinem Vater, aber er hat sich dafür entscheiden diese hinter einer lustigen Fassade zu verstecken. Als diese im Verlauf der Geschichte angefangen hat zu bröckeln, konnte man schnell die verletzliche Seite von Atlas sehen. Diese Gegensätze machten ihn als Protagonisten für mich so anziehend. Okay, das er wirklich sexy war, war natürlich auch hilfreich. Aber besonders sein Charakter hat mich angezogen und ich hätte ehrlich gesagt gerne noch mehr von ihm gelesen.
Die Beziehung zwischen Mila und Atlas ist über weite Teile des Buches hinweg vor allem von der sexuellen Anziehung der beiden geprägt. Denn viel mehr als sich streiten und kurz darauf hin miteinander zu schlafen machen die beiden in der ersten Hälfte des Buches nicht. Wobei ich sagen muss, dass das Geplänkel zwischen den beiden wirklich witzig war. Erst in der zweiten Hälfte der Geschichte kamen auch Gefühle ins Spiel und bis die beiden zu diesen standen, hat nochmal etwas länger gedauert. Trotzdem war die Chemie und die Verbindung natürlich das gesamte Buch über zuspüren, was die Story wirklich prickelnd gemacht hat.
Gab es etwas, was mir nicht gefallen hat?
Bis auf meine Probleme mit der Protagonistin gab es besonders einen Punkt, der mich gestört hat, wobei ich ehrlich gesagt nach meinem dritten Buch von Audrey Carlan langsam merke, dass dies ein generelles Problem ihrer Storys ist. Nämlich der Sex.
Denn obwohl ich bei diesem Thema wirklich sehr tolerant bin, habe ich aber irgendwo auch meine Grenze. Und die liegt weder bei heißen und außergewöhnlichen Sexszenen, noch bei vielen dieser Sorte. Aber irgendwo muss die Geschichte auch ein Verhältnis zwischen Story und Sex haben. Und diese Ausgeglichenheit fehlte mir hier ein wenig. Also, ein wenig mehr Geschichte und ein bisschen weniger Sex, und das Buch hätte mir einen Tick besser gefallen. Aber wie gesagt, das ist jetzt schon das dritte Buch von Carlan wo ich das anmerke, vielleicht stelle ich mich bei den anderen Teilen gleich von vornherein auf dieses Ungleichgewicht ein.
Gab es etwas, was ich noch erwähnen muss?
Ja auf jeden Fall. Wo ich in den anderen Büchern noch über das Thema Yoga an dieser Stelle etwas geschrieben habe, muss ich jetzt doch eher die Kunst des Buches erwähnen. Denn sowohl Atlas als auch Mila waren wirklich sehr künstlerisch begabt. Zwar in anderen Bereichen, einmal Malerei und dann Musik, aber diese Gemeinsamkeit machte die Geschichte irgendwie noch einen Ticken besser. Wie ist meine abschließende Meinung zum Buch?
Lotus House - Sanfte Hingabe ist wirklich kein Buch für zart besaitete Leser, denn es gibt Szenen in der Geschichte die extrem sexy sind. Alles in allem ist die Story zwischen Mila und Atlas wirklich gut gewesen. Sie hat Spaß beim Lesen gebracht und war trotz kleinerer Schwächen gut geschrieben. Dennoch muss ich sagen, dass dieser dritte Teil der Reihe für mich dennoch der bisher schwächste war.
Was passiert in diesem Buch?
Mila ist mit Leib und Seele Künstlerin, allerdings hat sie nicht ganz so viel Zeit für ihre Kunst wie sie gern hätte. Denn hauptberuflich ist Mila Yogalehrerin. Als sie von den Besitzerinnen des Lotus House gebeten wird an der neuartigen Yogastunde eines Kollegen teilzunehmen, ahnt Mila noch nicht, dass dies ihr bisher so geordnetes Leben durcheinander bringen wird.
Konnten mich die Protagonisten überzeugen?
Leider muss ich hier sagen, dass ich besonders mit der Protagonistin so meine Probleme hatte. Sie war eine sehr toughe und manchmal auch hart anmutende Frau, die durch ihre Geschichte gelernt hat niemanden zu sehr nah an sich heranzulassen. Genau aus diesem Grund war es auch manchmal ein wenig schwer eine wirkliche Verbindung zu ihr aufzubauen. Denn so wie sie Atlas immer wieder von sich gestoßen hat, so wurde man auch als Leser immer wieder vor den Kopf gestoßen. Erst im Verlauf des Buches wurde Mila ein wenig weicher und auch freundlicher, hat vor allem nicht immer mit einem bissigen Kommentar geantwortet, was wirklich geholfen hat, sie sympathischer zu finden. Dennoch hatte sie in der Mitte des Buches noch einmal eine Phase, in der ich sie am liebsten geschüttelt hätte, um ihr ein wenig Vernunft einzubläuen. Denn mal ehrlich, so starrsinnig wie diese Frau kann man doch gar nicht sein. Glücklicherweise hat sie sich nach einer Weile wieder eingekriegt und hat besonders am Ende der Geschichte auch mal ihre weiche Seite gezeigt.
Atlas war da das genaue Gegenteil von Mila. Denn wo sie verschlossen und eher bissig in ihren Antworten war, war er offen und freundlich und zu jedem Spaß zu haben. Natürlich hatte auch er seine Probleme, besonders mit seinem Vater, aber er hat sich dafür entscheiden diese hinter einer lustigen Fassade zu verstecken. Als diese im Verlauf der Geschichte angefangen hat zu bröckeln, konnte man schnell die verletzliche Seite von Atlas sehen. Diese Gegensätze machten ihn als Protagonisten für mich so anziehend. Okay, das er wirklich sexy war, war natürlich auch hilfreich. Aber besonders sein Charakter hat mich angezogen und ich hätte ehrlich gesagt gerne noch mehr von ihm gelesen.
Die Beziehung zwischen Mila und Atlas ist über weite Teile des Buches hinweg vor allem von der sexuellen Anziehung der beiden geprägt. Denn viel mehr als sich streiten und kurz darauf hin miteinander zu schlafen machen die beiden in der ersten Hälfte des Buches nicht. Wobei ich sagen muss, dass das Geplänkel zwischen den beiden wirklich witzig war. Erst in der zweiten Hälfte der Geschichte kamen auch Gefühle ins Spiel und bis die beiden zu diesen standen, hat nochmal etwas länger gedauert. Trotzdem war die Chemie und die Verbindung natürlich das gesamte Buch über zuspüren, was die Story wirklich prickelnd gemacht hat.
Gab es etwas, was mir nicht gefallen hat?
Bis auf meine Probleme mit der Protagonistin gab es besonders einen Punkt, der mich gestört hat, wobei ich ehrlich gesagt nach meinem dritten Buch von Audrey Carlan langsam merke, dass dies ein generelles Problem ihrer Storys ist. Nämlich der Sex.
Denn obwohl ich bei diesem Thema wirklich sehr tolerant bin, habe ich aber irgendwo auch meine Grenze. Und die liegt weder bei heißen und außergewöhnlichen Sexszenen, noch bei vielen dieser Sorte. Aber irgendwo muss die Geschichte auch ein Verhältnis zwischen Story und Sex haben. Und diese Ausgeglichenheit fehlte mir hier ein wenig. Also, ein wenig mehr Geschichte und ein bisschen weniger Sex, und das Buch hätte mir einen Tick besser gefallen. Aber wie gesagt, das ist jetzt schon das dritte Buch von Carlan wo ich das anmerke, vielleicht stelle ich mich bei den anderen Teilen gleich von vornherein auf dieses Ungleichgewicht ein.
Gab es etwas, was ich noch erwähnen muss?
Ja auf jeden Fall. Wo ich in den anderen Büchern noch über das Thema Yoga an dieser Stelle etwas geschrieben habe, muss ich jetzt doch eher die Kunst des Buches erwähnen. Denn sowohl Atlas als auch Mila waren wirklich sehr künstlerisch begabt. Zwar in anderen Bereichen, einmal Malerei und dann Musik, aber diese Gemeinsamkeit machte die Geschichte irgendwie noch einen Ticken besser. Besonders die Liedtexte und die sehr "anschaulichen" Bilder von Mila fand ich wirklich toll. Also ja, hier hat sich die Autorin wieder etwas Besonderes einfallen lassen.

Audrey Carlan continues to spice up the lives of the staff and customers of the Lotus House yoga studio with this third instalment of this highly erotic and fun-filled series.
As with previous stories, you can expect some romantic angst, resistance to commitment and lots of very hot and steamy sex!
Ms Carlan’s stories are definitely not for those with delicate sensibilities, but if you like your romance with some laugh out load moments, a little bit of drama, and those hot and heavy moments that make you reach for a cold drink and a fan, then this is most certainly the book (series) for you.

I am absolutely in love with Audrey Carlans work. I love it when I read an authors work & actually learn something new. This series has taught me things about Yoga I most likely would have otherwise never known. and also I believe I want 2 try it. Of course the book or series isn't solely about yoga. Audreys talent for writing is brilliant. she will most definitely keep your interest piqued from beginning to end. I will give no spoilers about anything I read. but I will tell you that this book & series is 1 I highly recommend as well as anything written by the lovely Audrey Carlan.

Another fantastic intallment to the Lotus House series! Like all of Audrey's books, the chemistry as off-the-charts hot and the characters richly developed. I loved the growth they both worked through and how they built a relationship unique to their personalities. Oh, and there are loads of hints on the next couple in the series as well.

Divine Desire is book #3 in Audrey Carlan’s Lotus House Series. This is another great addition to the series. Mila and Atlas had a sizzling connection right from the beginning. Mila fought it but deep down she was attracted and couldn’t stay away from his dirty mouth, attractive body and all his charm. Atlas teaches a special kind of yoga at the Lotus House. Mila is a talented artist. She is creative, smart, witty and intelligent. Atlas is flawless. He is a talented musician and has a beautiful heart. He also had a sweet side to him. He was encouraging to Mila and her dream and her art. The common theme in this book and series is conflict and lack of communication. I also found Mila has some abandonment issues. I found this off putting at times and slightly repetitive. Overall I enjoyed it and look forward to the rest of the books in series.
Joe Arden’s performance was fantastic as always. He narrates with so much passion and heat in his voice. Carmen Vine was good. I found her to be monotone at times and wished for a little more emotion in her voice to make it more of an enjoyable listening experience.

Lotus House – Sinnliches Verlangen ist ein grandioser dritter Band der neuen Reihe von Audrey Carlan. Es ist, wie auch schon der erste und zweite Teil, eine in sich abgeschlossene Handlung und kann daher als eigenständiges Buch gelesen werden.
Ich habe bereits die Calendar Girl Reihe, die Trinity Trilogie, samt Folgebände und die Dream Maker Reihe gelesen bzw. gehört. Ich bin sozusagen ein Fan der ersten Stunde (& dadurch vielleicht auch etwas Bias). Ich habe auch dieses Buch geliebt, denn es ist Audrey Carlan erneut gelungen, den Leser auf eine magische und aufregende Reise zu entführen. Es ist eine romantische, sinnliche und heiße Liebesgeschichte, wie man sie sich wünscht - die Art von Buch, das einen einfach glücklich macht und für eine Weile die Welt vergessen lässt.

I have not read the other books in the Lotus House series but Atlas & Mila make me want to go back and inhale them.
Divine Desire has drama, humor, a bit of angst and a whole lot of heat.
These two could not be more perfect for each other. At each others throats while denying themselves what they really want.
Their story will have you laughing one minute and sad the next, only to be picked back up and given a fantastic ending.
As expected Ms Carlan has written another story that sucks you in and keeps you rooted in place until the very end. I loved every minute of this book and absolutely will go back for the other books in this series.

Volvemos a reencontrarnos con La Casa del Loto y el mundo del yoga de la mano de Audrey Carlan y este nuevo libro. Divino deseo es la tercera entrega de esta serie compuesta de al menos 7 libros (según Goodreads). Anteriormente se han publicado Raíces profundas y Serenidad sagrada, también publicados por Titania.
En esta entrega los protagonistas son Atlas Powers, el guitarrista y mejor amigo de Dash y Mila Mercado, una de las profesoras de yoga de La Casa del Loto, a los que conocimos brevemente en el anterior libro y tras su breve encuentro vimos lo explosiva que puede llegar a ser la química entre los dos.
Atlas Powers es un hombre dedicado a su pasión, la música, su meta es triunfar en la industria musical y para ello trabaja duro, compone y toca sus canciones en pequeños locales esperando que alguien se interese por él, aunque con cada día que pasa va perdiendo un poquito más la esperanza de llegar triunfar. Pero hay que pagar las facturas y es un apasionado del yoga, por lo que gracias a su amigo Dash, comenzará a dar clases de una disciplina muy especial y poco ortodoxa en La Casa de Loto. Desde su primer encuentro se fija en la explosiva y peleona instructora latina, que ella sea tan borde con él no hace más que avivar su deseo de conquistarla.
Mila Mercado es una mujer dedicada a su arte, le encantaría poder dedicarse por completo a él, pero el alquiler y los materiales son caros así que necesita trabajar y para ello da clases de yoga en La Casa del Loto, algo que le encanta pero que le deja muy poco tiempo para dedicar a sus cuadros. Su mejor amiga Moe quiere ayudarla y le ofrece compartir casa para que pueda estar más tranquila económicamente y dedicar más tiempo a pintar. Mila no tiene tiempo para relaciones que la distraigan de lo único importante, que es su arte, por lo que solamente tiene encuentros casuales con personas a las que no va a volver a ver.
Es una mujer de carácter, la atracción que siente por Atlas la incomoda, por lo que es muy cortante con él y cada vez que se encuentran acaban discutiendo. Desde su primer encuentro la atracción entre ambos es fuerte y la química intensa, aunque Mila no da su brazo a torcer y no quiere reconocer esa atracción por lo que en cada encuentro presenciaremos una batalla de voluntades y dialéctica en la que se pinchan mutuamente.
Nos encontramos una historia llena de tensión sexual y escenas hot casi desde el comienzo con diálogos incendiarios y provocadores, donde ambos son lo que no estaban buscando y no sabían que necesitaban. Los dos son personas pasionales y muy físicas por lo que os podréis imaginar que las páginas van a echar humo de lo ardientes que se ponen estos dos. A pesar de sus diferencias, también tienen muchas cosas en común, ambos son artistas, ambos aman el yoga, ambos están luchando y dedican todas sus fuerzas y tiempo libre a alcanzar su sueño de triunfar en lo que aman. También tienen pasados e infancias complicadas que los han marcado profundamente. Pero su dedicación a su arte impide que ambos quieran comprometerse en algo más que una relación casual y sin compromiso, así que cuando uno de los dos quiera más, llegarán los problemas.
Ambos hacen una pareja increíble, durante la historia veremos su evolución, sobre todo en relación a reconocer o mostrar sus sentimientos, Atlas está más dispuesto a ello, pero el miedo de Mila la paraliza y la hace reacia a reconocer lo que siente por él.
El libro tiene 286 páginas divididas en veinte capítulos más epílogo. La narración es primera persona por ambos personajes protagonistas, por lo que vamos a conocer sus motivaciones en profundidad. Cada capítulo comienza con la descripción de una postura de yoga o nos habla sobre las características del chakra del plexo solar. La lectura es fluida, capítulos cortos que se leen muy rápido, y enganchan un montón por lo que vas devorando las páginas sin darte cuenta.
Audrey es una autora de romántica erótica, por lo tanto el sexo, está muy presente en todas sus historias, pero en esta historia se ha superado, creo que es la más sexual hasta el momento de todas las que componen esta saga. Las escenas son de alto voltaje, con mucha química y están bien narradas. El libro se hace ameno y te deja con ganas de mucho más.
La siguiente entrega de esta serie es Limitless Love y sus protagonistas serán Monet, la mejor amiga de Mila, y Clay, amigo y compañero de piso de Atlas. No hay datos de momento de cuándo podría ser la posible publicación por parte de la editorial pero la espero con ansías. 😍

Mila Mercado es una mujer dedicada a su arte, le encantaría poder dedicarse por completo a él, pero el alquiler y los materiales son caros así que necesita trabajar y para ello da clases de yoga en La Casa del Loto, algo que le encanta pero que le deja muy poco tiempo para dedicar a sus cuadros. Su mejor amiga Moe quiere ayudarla y le ofrece compartir casa para que pueda estar más tranquila económicamente y dedicar más tiempo a pintar. Mila no tiene tiempo para relaciones que la distraigan de lo único importante, que es su arte, por lo que solamente tiene encuentros casuales con personas a las que no va a volver a ver.

Es una mujer de carácter, la atracción que siente por Atlas la incomoda, por lo que es muy cortante con él y cada vez que se encuentran acaban discutiendo. Desde su primer encuentro la atracción entre ambos es fuerte y la química intensa, aunque Mila no da su brazo a torcer y no quiere reconocer esa atracción por lo que en cada encuentro presenciaremos una batalla de voluntades y dialéctica en la que se pinchan mutuamente.
«Aunque pudiera soportar un enfrentamiento con Atlas, de más de diez minutos, sin enfurecerme, había un mar de mujeres dispuestas, que ladraban menos y no mordían, entre las que podía escoger.»
Nos encontramos una historia llena de tensión sexual y escenas hot casi desde el comienzo con diálogos incendiarios y provocadores, donde ambos son lo que no estaban buscando y no sabían que necesitaban. Los dos son personas pasionales y muy físicas por lo que os podréis imaginar que las páginas van a echar humo de lo ardientes que se ponen estos dos. A pesar de sus diferencias, también tienen muchas cosas en común, ambos son artistas, ambos aman el yoga, ambos están luchando y dedican todas sus fuerzas y tiempo libre a alcanzar su sueño de triunfar en lo que aman. También tienen pasados e infancias complicadas que los han marcado profundamente. Pero su dedicación a su arte impide que ambos quieran comprometerse en algo más que una relación casual y sin compromiso, así que cuando uno de los dos quiera más, llegarán los problemas.

Ambos hacen una pareja increíble, durante la historia veremos su evolución, sobre todo en relación a reconocer o mostrar sus sentimientos, Atlas está más dispuesto a ello, pero el miedo de Mila la paraliza y la hace reacia a reconocer lo que siente por él.
El libro tiene 286 páginas divididas en veinte capítulos más epílogo. La narración es primera persona por ambos personajes protagonistas, por lo que vamos a conocer sus motivaciones en profundidad. Cada capítulo comienza con la descripción de una postura de yoga o nos habla sobre las características del chakra del plexo solar. La lectura es fluida, capítulos cortos que se leen muy rápido, y enganchan un montón por lo que vas devorando las páginas sin darte cuenta.
Audrey es una autora de romántica erótica, por lo tanto el sexo, está muy presente en todas sus historias, pero en esta historia se ha superado, creo que es la más sexual hasta el momento de todas las que componen esta saga. Las escenas son de alto voltaje, con mucha química y están bien narradas. El libro se hace ameno y te deja con ganas de mucho más.
«Mis dedos se cerraron instintivamente sobre un pincel imaginario. Necesitaba pintar. Y ya había encontrado al muso perfecto. El deseo de crear y hacer algo artístico me recorrió por dentro. Si tan solo pudiéramos soportarnos el uno al otro el tiempo suficiente para que lo pintara... Desafortunadamente, no éramos capaces de esta juntos más de unos minutos sin atacarnos verbalmente.»
La siguiente entrega de esta serie es Limitless Love y sus protagonistas serán Monet, la mejor amiga de Mila, y Clay, amigo y compañero de piso de Atlas. No hay datos de momento de cuándo podría ser la posible publicación por parte de la editorial pero la espero con ansías. 😍

Atlas Powers möchte einen ganz speziellen Yoga-Kurs im Lotus House geben. Nebenbei ist er Musiker und träumt von einem Plattenvertrag. Um den neuen Kurs bekannt zu machen möchte er sich Hilfe von alten Bekannten holen.
Mila und Atlas kennen sich bereits aus dem Lotus House, aber mit seinen Anmachsprüchen blitzt Atlas bislang bei Mila ab. Mila hält ihn für selbstgefällig und egoistisch, steht aber irgendwie doch auf ihn. Aber sie hat keine Zeit für einen Mann in ihrem Leben, bislang hatte sie lieber One-Night-Stands. Auch sie soll bei dem Kurs von Atlas dabei sein ohne überhaupt zu wissen, um welche Art von Kurs es sich handelt.
Also zunächst einmal finde ich den Schreibstil wie schon in den Vorgängern sehr einfach und schön, aber auch oft sehr theatralisch. Man kann durch alle Bücher hindurchfliegen und es ist auch alles sehr leicht verständlich.
Mila fand ich als Charakter noch relativ authentisch, Atlas war teilweise etwas übertrieben. Schon alleine der Name Atlas Powers ist schon sehr speziell. Wie dann beide Charaktere zueinander finden fand ich dann aber wiederum sehr schön. Beide bemerken schon bald, dass es wichtig ist, nicht nur oberflächlich über einen Menschen zu denken. Denn beide erkennen mehr Gemeinsamkeiten an sich, als sie zunächst dachten. Das Thema war nicht wirklich etwas Neues, es war nur einfach ein anderer Kurs und andere Charaktere mit anderen Hintergrundgeschichten im und um das Lotus House.
Fazit
Auch dieser Band hat mir wieder recht gut gefallen. Aber alles in allem muss ich jetzt nach drei Büchern der Lotus House Reihe sagen, dass mir die Geschichten und auch die Charaktere alle etwas zu theatralisch und zu schmachtend sind. Noch dazu erfährt man nicht wirklich was Neues. Es sind immer wieder neue Hauptprotagonisten deren Leben sich im und um das Lotus House abspielen und die früher oder später heißen Sex haben. Dazu tauchen dann immer wieder die Hauptprotagonisten aus den Vorgängerbüchern oder aus den folgenden Büchern kurz auf. Wer auf so richtige Schmachtromane mit heißer Erotik steht, der ist bei diesen Büchern genau richtig. Für mich muss ich sagen, dass ich die Reihe eher nicht weiter verfolgen werde. Trotzdem war es ein gutes Buch, das ich auch gerne weiterempfehle für Fans des Genres.

First, a note to the incomparable Audrey Carlan. Audrey, Audrey, Audrey. This is seriously your best LH to date. Seriously. I LOVED Resisting Roots and Sacred Serenity, but you have reached another level with Divine Desire. Wowza.
The first thing I wanted to say was that there was one scene where I threw my phone across the room. I am not kidding. Don’t get me wrong. This is not a bad thing. Quite the opposite. I don’t know how Audrey does it, but she makes me completely immerse myself into her novels. I already knew that this one was going to be so damn hot based on the excerpt in Sacred Serenity. I completely enjoy how the POV changes from the female to the male. It doesn’t give me a one-sided story and I can’t begin to explain how impeccably she made this story complete for me. Okay now my thoughts on the rest of DD.
Mila Mercado is an artist, yoga teacher, best friend, and auntie. I love Mila. Really. What I love about her is not just that she has a fiery temperament. I love that she’s not perfect. Meaning that she’s a perfect character. Let’s see if I can clarify what I mean by that. LOL. Society pushes the idea that perfection is a tall, thin woman with few curves. Mila doesn’t have huge boobs, an unrealistically tiny waist, and minimal curves. As a woman with many physical imperfections, it’s a relief to read about a woman who isn’t physically perfect. Honestly, that’s how I saw Vivvie from Resisting Roots (I still love Vivvie by the way). I mean, I know Vivvie isn’t tall, but she’s otherwise physically perfect with luscious curves and straight blonde hair. Mila, however, is just as tiny but toned with wildly curly hair, and has a bubble butt. As a woman with curly hair and a butt that attracts way too much attention, I could relate to those aspects. The way Atlas is always gripping one of her cheeks, it reminded me of my mandingo a little too vividly. Mila’s attributes allow readers to find things that they can relate to. As for her relationship with her mother, I find it hard to understand. Coming from a very tight family, I don’t understand how an essential relationship like the one between a mother and daughter can be so distant. I mean, I understand the situation they found themselves in through no fault of their own, but her mother abandoned her. Just like her father did. I want to throat punch both of them. Though it did make Mila the way she was, it’s hard to not want to be violent towards them. The way Mila handled “romantic relationships” was understandable. How understandable? I was like her after a certain point in my life. There are many women who are like her though they won’t admit it. There’s nothing wrong with sexual freedom if it is what they want and are honest about it. As for her passion for her art, I loved that! Her struggle was honest, especially with her fear of failure and rejection, even with the amazing support system she had in Moe. Moe is the quintessential flawless best friend. Her exceptional use of reason and guilt to get Mila to do things was utter perfection. I look forward to reading her story.
My view of Atlas Powers, artist, yoga teacher, best friend, is……still on the fence. The problem with that is that he reminds me of a certain ex-boyfriend. Physically and behaviorally. A little too much. Knowing that problem, I made sure that I did my best to keep my mind and heart open. I enjoyed how honest he was about what he wanted with Mila. It impressed me how much control he used, especially the first night he posed for Mila. I fully expected him to tackle her or sweep her into bed. I enjoyed how it wasn’t always about sex though when it was, it was supremely hot. His songs……really make me wish I could hear him sing them. I loved, loved, loved that last song! Some people would expect it from a man who writes and sings, but it’s not a given, even for those that are passionate about their music. I’d think that depends on the artist and their focus, especially when they are fighting to keep from giving up professionally. His devotion to his father is amazing. It takes considerable strength of character to hold onto something from someone that abandoned you. There was a little, tiny hint of the boy that loved his father and never understood what had happened. It was such a deep trait that pushed him to do what he did to Mila. I wanted to knock him out each time, but I could see the pattern and why he did so. His cluelessness about dating was funny, but what he came up with was amazing!
Naked yoga. Very intriguing. As someone who is still very new to yoga, it’s fascinating. But, based on what I’ve learned from Audrey through Resisting Roots, Sacred Serenity, and now Divine Desire, I can see how this concept would be an essential class for yogis. The purest of experiences during their practice. I love it!
I loved the way Mila and Atlas fight. For some people, when they fall in love with each other, that part tends to go away for long periods or even goes away completely. I LOVE that it didn’t happen that way for Mila and Atlas. I can just see them fighting all the way into old age and surrounded by kids, grandkids, great grandkids, and the rest of the family they created.
One last thought, when Atlas left Mila, I fully expected her to use her fiery attitude to cut him out of her life. It was an exceptional surprise when it showed that it was her tender and abused heart that led her to accepting him back. She taught me to refrain from punching first and just allow myself to feel what I needed to and let things happen.

Who would've thought that these two yogis who fight like cats and dogs and who both have daddy and abandonment issues were meant to be together? This is a pretty fast paced love story between Mila, the sassy sarcastic Latina, and Atlas, the laid back blonde haired, blue (and brown) eyed musician who likes to push her buttons. Both have been single so long they can't see they found true love even when it's staring them in the face. They figure it out eventually though, and all it takes is them opening up about their past and a couple (or more) steamy nights between the sheets😜. Its a fun read, definitely recommend😁.

Começou bem, as disputas verbais eram divertidas, a tensão sexual e depois o concretizar, tinha tudo para ser 5*, mas a partir de meio perdeu o rumo, as cenas pareciam forçadas e o final precipitado e sensaborão ☹️

Waarschijnlijk komt een deel van mijn rating doordat de vertaling slecht was, want sommige woorden die werden gebruikt waren gewoon smerig. Maar tegelijkertijd vond ik Atlas en Mila niet geweldig. Zeker niet aangezien Atlas dubbele standaarden had.

I really love their story, their compassion in their dreams are so powerful. They will never get tired of waiting to their dreams to come. And I love how Atlas and Mila support each other to reach their dreams, and yes, their banter is soooo cuuuutee 😍

If you like yoga this is one read you won't want to miss. The little intros into each chapter was a great way to share the practice of this excercise.
I couldn't help the giggles as Atlas started his new class. All I could this about was all of everyone's 'all that' literally hanging out. I don't know if Atlas's type of yoga is a real thing, but if it is, I give kudos to those who are brave enough, confident enough to attend.
Mila may have been Atlas's hot fantasy, but her-I love you/I hate you push pull got a little tiresome for me. Although the way Atlas handled Mila's cattiness was more than entertaining.
But when things got steamy, this author sure knows how to do it.
Mila & Atlas have chemistry to spare. Even I felt the temperature in the room rise just a little.
Both Atlas and Mila have things in their past that keeps them from hanging onto something that has the potential to be really good. Add in the fact that both are struggling artists sometimes the emotions got out of control, ( fun for us readers though).
I love happy endings. They make my lil heart so happy. I've got to say Audrey Carlan wrote one of the best HEA's I've read in a very long time.
So if yoga is your thing or if you just like loving on someone you're not sure you even like kind of books, then Divine Desire is the one for you.

Mild spoilers ahead, but no specifics:
I had to write this review to mention something that I’m sure none of the 4- and 5-star reviews are commenting on. I was really enjoying this book for most of the way through. I thought Atlas and Mila had pretty interesting, if ultra-angsty, character arcs, and I enjoyed the side characters. I have a mild complaint with this series in that there is a lot of tell instead of show regarding relationships with family members (Dash and Amber’s book being the exception, though even there, we have some of this issue). But ultimately that’s not a huge deal if the rest of the story is good.
What I could not get over here, and what ruined the end of the book for me, was the blatant slut-shaming and complete failure to address said slut-shaming. I am completely over characters who criticize or blame women who they call “sluts” for expressing their own sexuality in consensual ways outside of relationships. The main character herself basically apologizes and shames herself for the sexual activity she is well within her rights to pursue prior to being in a relationship. And Atlas’ actions toward the end during the Big Fight?? Completely reprehensible, and not addressed in any way, shape, or form. Mila basically tells her friend “yes, I slept with a bunch of guys before I even met this guy, and everything is all my fault.” No. Absolutely not. Look, I’m not saying Atlas’ actions are irredeemable, but I’m gonna need a whole heck of a lot more groveling and self-examination on his part before I can believe that this guy has earned that forgiveness.

The main character herself basically apologizes and shames herself for the sexual activity she is well within her rights to pursue prior to being in a relationship. And Atlas’ actions toward the end during the Big Fight?? Completely reprehensible, and not addressed in any way, shape, or form. Mila basically tells her friend “yes, I slept with a bunch of guys before I even met this guy, and everything is all my fault.” No. Absolutely not. Look, I’m not saying Atlas’ actions are irredeemable, but I’m gonna need a whole heck of a lot more groveling and self-examination on his part before I can believe that this guy has earned that forgiveness.

Der dritte Band von Lotus House – Sinnliches Verlangen war unterhaltend, doch ich habe so manches auszusetzen. Die meisten Dinge liegen aber in meiner persönlichen Meinung. Das Buch ist super geschrieben. Es kommt nie Langeweile auf. Mir gefällt sehr gut, dass Lotus House 3 aus der Sicht von Mila und Atlas geschrieben wurde. Es wird Kapitelweise abwechselnd aus den einzelnen Sichten erzählt.
Mir gefiel nicht so gut wie abrupt die „Sache“ zwischen Mila und Atlas losging. Mila als weibliche Hauptfigur hat mir gut gefallen. Sie kam als unabhängige und eigenständige Frau rüber und hat ihr Leben so gut es ging gemeistert. Die Geschichte über Ihre Familie war interessant und hätte vielleicht noch etwas mehr ausgeführt werden können. Zum Beispiel ein Besuch bei ihrem Vater.
Das einzige das mich an diesem Buch so richtig gestört hat ist, wie vulgär teilweise die Dinge aus Atlas` Sicht geschrieben wurden. Des Weiteren kam Atlas oft einfach nur rüber wie ein Steinzeitmann auf der Suche nach einem Weibchen. Ich kann nicht sagen ob die Autorin ihre Bücher immer so schreibt oder das der Charakter des Protagonisten sein sollte da dies mein erstes Buch von Audrey Carlan war.
