A useful, if dated, survey of the comparative states of the Gaelic languages around the firm of the millennium. Most of the entries center on either Gaidhlig or its relationship with Gaeilge, though there are several useful discussions of comparative funding, uptake, political breakdown, and participation in the various Celtic languages across nations and cultures.
