Born in the Midlands during the 1930’s, then brought up from modest beginnings in the South of England, the author was shocked to discover at the age of 43, during a divorce and custody battle for his children, that he was adopted at birth. He decided to search for his natural parents, which led to an entirely new and wealthy family with an inspiring 700 year old history. The next thirty years were an incredible journey covering every emotion from excitement, joy, sadness and despair, including an extraordinary number of unusual coincidences and a series of lucky breaks. Before his retirement he pursued a stimulating career as a chartered civil engineer, managing multi-million pound projects in the UK. A keen sportsman all his life, he is also passionate about travelling, history, music, and meeting people.
The book looks as though it would be good to learn from. It only got one star for the following reason - it is unfortunately not formatted properly for the kindle making it difficult to follow. I’ll now have to purchase the paperback.
This book? Yeah this is super helpful for beginners. The book doesnt have lots of pieces to play but i really recommend you to BUY it!. I have been learning to sight read and this helped me a lot. (Trust me)
Definitely simple and easy to grasp for any piano/keyboard beginner. You'll be whisked through the entire book in no time. Although readers beware: terms such as crotchets, quavers used in this book might not be found in other piano books (particularly American ones), which uses terms such as eighth-notes etc.Assumptions aside: Great Book.
I enjoyed working through this as a beginner to sheet music. Offers great practice in getting both hands playing in a simple way, plus learning the notes.
