THERE ARE FOUR STUNNING CRIME THRILLERS IN THIS GREAT VALUE BOXSET:
Brick

Shadows

Guilty... until proven innocent

Deliver us from Evil

Brick:

When a teenager is the victim of an unprovoked attack while walking his dog, a murder investigation begins. A cruel twist of fate makes his innocent family the targets of a vicious campaign of terror.

As the detectives of Liverpool’s Major Investigation Team try to contain the violence, several key members of an organised crime family begin to topple, causing shockwaves across the world.

Why was the teenager attacked?

And will the villains be brought to justice?

Shadows:

Suicide. Drugs. Murder.

DI Braddick is put on the case when a hijacked drug deal has resulted in murder and an eyewitness goes missing. When victims are discovered strung up from the rafters of an abandoned fish factory, on the Anglesey coastline, the police are baffled as to what went on. A deserted trawler found at the scene helps Braddick put the pieces together.

Could this be the work of a notorious Russian crime family?

When an undercover officer goes missing everything points to an informer for the family and it is clear they will stop at nothing to the silence the leak and have their revenge.

Guilty...

Following a storm, a body is washed up on a beach, intricately wrapped in wire mesh.

DS Marcus Braddick is struck by the similarities to a triple murder case from 7 years before - A case that eluded his predecessor, Alec Ramsay.

Across the city, a teacher is accused online by a Predator hunting group. As his life unravels, a killer stalks the hunters.

Braddick and Ramsay have to work out how the two worlds are entwined and discover who are the innocent and who are the guilty before it’s too late…

The hunt is on and it’s never been so deadly...

Detective Braddick is summoned to a horrendous crime scene, where it appears a double murder has taken place. The victims' bodies are missing and the police have no clue as to their identities or who killed them.

As the investigation snowballs, the potential body count rises and the Major Investigation Team have little to go on until DNA evidence is examined.

There appears to be no motive for the dreadful murders until an ancient script is found daubed on the walls of a nearby property.

As the clues are unravelled, Braddick and his team realise they are dealing with something they have never faced before. Because this time they're tracking evil itself…

Definitely the best British detective crime series I have read without any doubt.
Don't really like to include spoilers, but if you liked Gangs of London on TV recently, then this series is for you (albeit it is based in Liverpool), but more from the police perspective.
100% recommended if you are into crime novels.
I have always preferred UK Crime novels (over US ones for instance) as you tend to get a much more descriptive idea of the personalities involved.
Can't give this series enough praise.
Get it on Kindle Unlimited if you are a member.
Gets my vote as my all-time favourite book read in 2022.

Jones writes at a rapid tempo, much to quickly in this case, a pity because if he took more time over what he writes the more sense his books would make. He has a desire to shock, he hates being predictable yet in this tale he misses badly on both counts especially the ending.
Take more time with your planning, make your story believable don't try and wipe out your entire cast after they've tackled each other based on Good v Bad.
This is a great pity as other books have been far more enjoyable, this was nauseating as far as I'm concern

It's always a thrill reading a book by Conrad Jones. Every book grabs you by the balls and wont let go....breath taking! This box set has it all. Shocking, gruesome, chilling and frighteningly addictive. The story lines are always creative and excellently written. Conrad does not write fairy tales so be prepared to enter the dark and dangerous world of his mind. A top notch book set worth every penny.

Gruesome, Again.

This whole series is brilliant and the body parts are flying. I don't feel I got to know the characters well but the story lines are intricately woven. The author seems to be obsessed with the scatological scents and sights of the death process. The fourth book was a real doozy with Fabienne and her minions wreaking havoc once again. Nasty doesn't half describe it. Great if you like gore. 😝

It Makes Halloween Look Like A Picnic!

There's a wealth of violence and horror in these well told tales, and the blighted lives and terror of the victims of pain, crime and pure evil.

Difficult to put down, and perhaps best not read last thing at night for some!

Definitely not cozy mysteries

A very gritty set of books which show police procedures in depth. There is a great deal of violence and drama in each book, which is horrifying at times. The characters are well crafted by an author who shows an insight into human nature.

I don't like violence just for the sake of it, just to shock, these books, have plenty of violence and bad language but it's life and crap happens. I haven't read a book by this author that I haven't enjoyed and these books are up with the best. If you want a fast pace edge of your seat read then I can highly recommend if you want mamby pamby look elsewhere
