Jade Michaels is a coyote shifter who rebels against society and embraces the negative stereotypes of her kind. Her father bailed on her mother the second she found out she was pregnant leaving Jade to believe that true mates are nothing more than fabricated fairytales. Brett Evans was the youngest president of his Delta Omega Gamma chapter and currently also resides as the president of Greek Row at the ARC. He learns of Jade’s crusade when the school administration begins to push back and insist the Greeks become more inclusive. When he goes to crash a campus bonfire party Jade is hosting, he gets much more than he bargains for! Jade Michaels, his sworn enemy is his one true mate.

3.5 stars. I had jumped straight in A series, but I had A good time anyway. A good book to read when you want some shifter actions

I can't help it how my mind is blown every time!!! So here’s my broken record again ;) lol ... WOW! Ms. Trettel has done it again! "Midnight Promise" is the 3rd book in the amazing ARC Shifters College & latest shifter stand-alone that’s kind of a spin-off from her other phenomenal series’ and IMHO deserves 6 stars! ... I was hooked from the start & glued to my seat with this fresh, new storyline! Fantastic romance with suspense & likable characters that come to life & witty dialogue. Plus, great attention to detail that pulls the reader into the book! Even tho I always volunteer to read this author’s books early, I’ve also bought many of her previous kindle books when I was able to. So yes, these are my honest feelings without any outside influences & I highly recommend this & all her shifter books to adult fans of fiction and I can't wait for more, but I will ;)

Argumento:
Jade Michaels es una cambiaformas coyote que se rebela contra la sociedad y acepta los estereotipos negativos de su especie. Su padre abandonó a su madre en el momento en que descubrió que estaba embarazada, dejando a Jade creyendo que las verdaderas parejas no son más que cuentos de hadas inventados. Al comienzo de su último año en ARC, Jade está decidida a dejar su huella y se embarca en una campaña de inclusión en todo el campus. Su objetivo número 1 es derribar a Greek Row.
Brett Evans fue el presidente más joven de su capítulo Delta Omega Gamma y actualmente también reside como presidente de Greek Row en el ARC. Se entera de la cruzada de Jade cuando la administración de la escuela comienza a retroceder e insiste en que los griegos se vuelvan más inclusivos. Mi humilde opinión:
Midnight Promise continúa con las parejas destinadas en Archibald Reynolds. Esta vez dos coyotes enemigos jurados encuentran la suya.
Al principio Jade simplemente me hacía chirriar los dientes con su manía de seguir con su cruzada en contra de las casas de fraternidad, aunque estaba claro que estaban cambiando para aceptar a todos los cambiaformas. Cierto que algunas casas no eran inclusivas y había quienes no recibían bien a otros cambiaformas pero no todos eran malos y estaban dispuestos a modificar las reglas. Pensé que ella juzgaba y no se tomó la molestia de investigar más a fondo la casa de Brett y cómo él estaba cambiando las cosas. Ella suponía que era el malvado de la película.
Jade lucha mucho con sus inseguridades y hasta toma la drástica decisión de romper su vínculo con Brett. Me pareció tonta la razón por la que se decidió a dejarlo. Pero finalmente se da cuenta de la buena persona que es Brett y que su familia en D.O.G lo son también.
Kaitlyn es su primera amiga y es que no le dio opción a Jade. Por momentos me parecieron demasiado sus intervenciones y atribuciones. No me decido si es molesta o la más dulce.
Damon no estuvo bien con Jade en el pasado pero aquí se nota que él cambió cuando encontró a su pareja y lo demostró pidiéndole disculpas a Jade.
A pesar de todo, Jade y Brett eran una linda pareja. Disfruté verlos dejar los prejuicios de lado y suposiciones sobre el otro, conocerse de verdad, arreglar sus diferencias, enamorarse y al final convertirse en un frente unido.
El giro sorprendente sucede casi al final! Por qué? Estaba esperando saber más de los grupos Raglans y Verndari. Aquí los Raglans estaban encubiertos en la escuela y secuestrando cambiaformas para sus experimentos. Jade descubre que fue una víctima de ellos y junto con Brett, sus amigos y algunos profesores miembros de los Verndari logran atraparlos.
Esta no es una lectura que mantenga la acción o el suspenso pero me interesan las parejas destinadas, los personajes y el dulce romance. Por ahora seguiré leyendo a ver qué pasa...

A must read
The ' Westin pack series is one of my favorites, but I enjoyed how she has linked each series while still being able to let each book and characters stand alone. I fell in love with the characters and I’m sad this book ended. I can’t wait for the next ARC series. I recommend this book

I love Enemies to lovers, and this fated mates story doesn't disappoint.

Jade Michaels had a chip on her shoulder and wanted the Greek Sororities and Fraternities to be shut down at the ARC. As a coyote shifter she had always had to face negativity and being judged for what she is and not who she is. Her goal is to make the ARC a fully inclusive school by taking down Greek Row. Little does she know that her arch nemesis, Brett Evans, the D.O.G president is destined to be her true mate. Brett is aware of Jade and her aim to take his fraternity down along with all the others on Greek row and is fully prepared to put a stop to her. During a very public scene Jade and Brett discover they are true mates. They have to set aside their anger and hate in order to love. A super cute read of how two opposites can attract and just how much love can open the mind while also bringing people together.

Everytime I read a book from this author I think wow I love it then the next one releases and it blows my mind. I love the shifter world she created and this is my favourite in the
ARC shifters book . Brett and Jade couldn't be more different in looks . They are nemesis as they both stand for different things. He's well loved and an Alpha of his own accord, she's an emo that hates what the Greek Row stands for and doing her best to disassemble it. Read on to see how things progress between them.

Acceptance
XXX! Adult content, reader discretion advised. So acceptance is a simple concept In theory is should be simple to execute. In reality it is much more difficult. Bret found acceptance on Greek row. Jade was jaded on Greek row. Finding acceptance of the other was on first appearance an insurmountable task. And the cause snowballed into a campus wide issue. Then the hidden Vendari sect who couldn’t accept shifters as equals was the exciting subplot. Love how all the series are twined together!

I liked Jade and Brett's story as it was very entertaining. Not only are they both outwardly complete opposites. No, they also prefer another campus lifestyle. And that leads to a war-like situation in this book. - The interesting thing was that in the end the problem solved itself with a huge party and a one true mate confession. The acceptance of the mate bond was almost instantaneous here, which certainly contributed to the fact that neither of the two was seriously hurt.

Julie Trettel tells great shifter stories
I have read several and even followed them in order right up to this ARC series. I hate to admit I'm old but I am :) and following all the characters helps my brain matter but Julie is great giving With short hints about characters that refresh my memory without taking up a lot of chatter space. Stories are mating ones with lots of twists and turns.

This was a great addition to the series! An enemies to lovers situation. Jade and Brett hated each other, and they’d never even met. They were pitted against each other over the battle of inclusion and Greek row at the ARC. What they didn’t realize is who they were to each other....true mates who had a hard road ahead. It’s all worth it though. (And I loved how the story line tied into past shifter books. Perfect!)

A fantastic story
This was an absolutely hilarious story that starts off with enemies, but of course fate has completely different plans for them! When they think that things will finally settle down a bit, along comes a horrific tragedy that no one saw coming. It's definitely a story that you won't want to miss!
I would definitely recommend this book, series, and outstanding author.

Coyote Jade Michaels proudly wears the boulder on her shoulder and hates everyone equally, her latest crusade is against the principal of Greek row and their exclusive parties, namely Brett Evans who has the misfortune of being this year’s president and has to answer whatever charges she’s leveling. When they meet the mate bond snaps, they don’t dislike each other as much but this reader did.

Jade and Brett find a truce
Jade finds fiends, her one true mate and a terrible secret. Brett find his one true mate, compromise and a horrible secret. ARC may not be safe after all for shifters. What better place to experiment on shifters than the college specific for them! I enjoyed Brett and Jades story. It was fun to see Jade come into her own!

Enemies to lovers plus fated mates I'm their
Ok it wasn't my favourite Jade wants to be accept but she has biased and one way view when it comes to Greek row. I get her past experience wasn't good but she espically hates the Dogs yet know nothing about them didn't even now Chad was a dog for instance. If it was just this plot I would have given it 3 stars.
However there is also the added threat that's been running through them since westin pack that has got the star rating up.

I am persevering with this series and author but I am finding all the books are too similar and I am starting to sway in interest. I like that the overall plot seems to pull through from all the series, but the single plot of each book is just not exciting any more.

Good book.
This book is good. I really got into it around a 3rd into the book. From then on, it was exciting and interesting to see how Jade & Brett came to terms of being mates. The Ranglan part of the plot was interesting also.

Absolutely loved this book. The characters end up being perfect together and they beat the danger that they find out is right at the school. If you liked bk 1 & 2 you'll love bk3. Awesome series

Love the whole series, would recommend reading Westin Pack first before Collier Pack, ARC Shifters and Westin Force, as it makes the characters fall into place and make sense with no spoilers
