The Right Kinda Hood
Eastland Joseph better known as “East” to anyone outside of family, has the respect of the streets and the knowledge of a kingpin. His past life experiences have made him the man he is today. It was never glamorous but it was necessary. Forced to be the man of the house at a young age, East has always handled business and family before anything. Settling down with one woman, has never fit into the hierarchy of his needs.
Joi loves hard and at times too much. Her loyalty has kept her in a relationship with a man who does not value her as he should, but with no evidence of any wrong doing, Joi cannot bring herself to leave. Having something at the end of the day is better than nothing and Joi only has gut feelings.
Joi’s best friend, Nyelle is all about her son. After news of her long time boyfriend’s infidelities comes out in the worst way, she is no longer concerned with a relationship. Taking care of home and making sure her son is happy is her only focus.
In Vega’s mind it will always be loyalty over anything. That mind frame caused him to lose three years of his life. Now that he is home, Vega’s way of thinking has changed. No longer concerned with the fast life, Vega is ready to try something different.
Each of these four have their own insecurities and doubts that they have to work through in order to see what’s in front of them. Each guarded for their own reasons, they must decide if the potential benefits of a new relationship outweigh the risks. Will they decide to take that leap or will the past stand in the way of what could a beautiful future?

I will not read book two. I can’t stand Joi or Nyella! Slow book/ it dragged. I still like K C Mills just not this series.

Fye!!
I loved it. This was a well developed plot that kept me intrigued from cover to cover. A welcomed change from the simple uninteresting repetitive plot with 50 sex scenes awkwardly placed. Anyways READ IT YOU WONT BE DISAPPOINTED!!!

Good book!
I like the book but Joi is nerve wrecking! Why must all of the female characters be overthinkers, insecure or gullible for their exes. It just takes away from the book when the female characters are so weak. Ugh, I can’t stand it.

It took me a while to finish this one, not because it wasn’t a good book I actually forgotten I started it, this story was full of drama. I didn’t want the book to end I can’t wait to start book #2. I love me some East.

The right kinda hood
As always K.C. Mills did an excellent job. This book held my attention from the very first page. Patterson is something else and need to be dealt with. I love East and think him Joi is cute together. Reg is something else and is just crazy. Vega and Nylee are cute together. I'm definitely reading part 2 to see how everything plays out.

Pretty good!!
Flowed well, but a little exhausting with the way Joi and Nyelle playing games. Loved East and Vega, though!! Can't wait to read it they both get their happy ending!!

Well, a little bit annoyed... But this was still a good story!!! Go East!
Finally I started this series and...well...some issues with this but first and foremost, I must say this: GO EAST!!!
Now, MS. Mills is part of my favorites author where I will drop any book I am reading to grab hers, but this book so far is not giving me this rush feeling I get from reading a K.C. Mills story....
East is bae as well as Vega but the ladies, my goodness, where did they come from (that's one of my issues). I mean, they actually feel real because this is a little bit of how we react, but to be on constant mode like this, is not healthy at all. My other issue is the grammatical errors, WHAT HAPPENED🙊🙈? This is my first time reading a MS. Mills book that there was that many errors. This never happened before....
Now, I am going to hope and pray that book 2 gets it better and gets it right now...cross fingers!

Great Read
I like East ole rude, brutally honest, and mean self. He is a no nonsense person and move to the beat of his own drum. After dealing with a weak dude like Reg. Joi don't know how to take East but she's drawn to him. Reg allow his street status to go to his head. After Joi found out the secrets he was hiding she sent him on his way but he can't seem to let go. Now he's done something stupid and created a enemy. Vega trying to change his ways after his stint in jail. Having Nyelle push him harder to do right. Nyelle is trying to move on after the heart break her ex Reese caused. Reese feels like he still has some say so in Nyelle life but little does he know. She's done. Hopefully Reese don't do anything stupid and get on Vega bad side because the both of them seem like hot heads.

Never Disappoints!!!
KC Mills.....what can I say. This storyline is nothing short of amazing. These characters gave me my entire life. I love me some East and Vega. Omg they are just delicious. I love how their personalities are. Joi and Nyelle are strong female characters but Joi......she on my last nerve. As a woman who knows what she has gone through I understand her position. In the same sense she is going to miss out on her forever if she can't get right. KC Mills always hitting a home run. I love it! One of the best to do it.

I’m in love with a new book Bae and his name is Eastland and he is definitely the Right Kinda Hood!! This book was fire! K.C. has done it again. I can’t wait for Part 2. I can’t wait to see the relationship between Vega and Ny evolve, hopefully things work out considering where the situation left off. Hope all is well with East and he and Joi get past their situation. I anticipate some serious action in Part 2 regarding Patterson and Reg. I can’t wait to see what happens next. Please don’t make us wait long! The book was definitely fire and a must read!!!

Great read
Patterson needs to come up dead and fast. He is truly a first cop and he is messing with fire by touching East. I wonder who Joi called, it must be someone with some pull. I can't wait to see how Vega and Reese settle their beef. Nyelle is good for Vega and I have to give it up to him for trying hard to change his ways before he steps to her fully. That's what a real man would do. Reg is bitter and he needs to step back and allow her to be happy. He wants to have his cake and eat it too. I can't wait until this story unfolds, great read from beginning to end.

Ok Joi got on my nerves at the end. Her insecurities got East locked up. She had no reason not to trust him even though Navi was dead wrong, she should be used to it. I do wonder who she called. Ace was supposed to have somebody on Patterson...he so busy trying to make sure Vega do what he supposed to do maybe he’s the one that needs to be checked on. I love Vega and his mentality regarding Nayelle. I’m definitely team EAST!!! Joi better get right!

East will definitely get rid of Detective Patterson and Reg. I'm so sure how he and Joi will end up because she's extremely insecure and it could have cost him serious problems. This series is gonna be lit. My girl is going through a lot. I hope East get outta this situation with Patterson cause he’s a snake and he needs to get what he deserved. I hope vage and ace can help him out as well. U did good on yet another book and I’m looking forward to reading more of ur books. Sitting here patting my feet while sipping on Pepsi and eating popcorn while waiting on the next book

The book was a decent read. There were moments when I was rolling my eyes like they all getting on my nerves. Joi got on my nerves the most. I don’t know how East could stand to be around her. I didn’t like how the book had East constantly bringing up Reg name throwing Shade quite often and then portray himself to be REAL a dude. Read for yourself is what I ALWAYS SAY

Good read
I love this story. I can’t stand Reg or that detective! Reg should have cut his loss because he was foul for his actions. The detective worked my nerves. He was extra shady and that made absolutely no sense. I was so tired of him. The girls both found happiness and I loved every bit of their relationships with Vega and East! I can’t wait until book 2!

I usually like your storylines..but this one right here is just irritable. I mean can you just have the most niave/dumbest/clueless/insecure main female character? I guess it's hard to find a author who writes about confident/strong/secure black woman who can be cocky but the right man comes along and puts in her in her place when need be

I need part 2 asap!!!
I hope we can kill Patterson in this next book. If Joi would have taken her butt home none of this would have happened. I like Vega and East. Reg is looking for trouble and he most definitely gonna get what he ask for. Now Reese needs to be handled as well and I'm sure it will be. I can't wait for part 2.. good book K.C. Mills.

Ok
The book was okay. Could have been a single book. The story drag, Joi, didn’t live up to her name. She was really immature and insecure. Ny, I could understand her reasons more. I don’t see how the detective Patterson, was able to get away with so much stuff without someone from the street heard about it. The story could have been interesting without the long drag.

KC Mills never ever disappoints, I love this book. Reg and Patterson just signed their death certificates and don’t even know it. I hope Joi goes to get her man. Nyelle has her hands full with Reese and Vega. I hope Reese ready cause Vega bout to take over. Can’t wait for part 2!!!!

Good book
That ending i did not see that coming Patterson is such a dirty cop he didn’t have nothing on East to arrest him. I hope that East don’t have to do no time. I love the relationship that East and Joi were building now that’s how you get a man. I also like Vega and Ny budding relationship as well i hope Reese don’t mess it up for her. Can’t wait for part 2
