Kirsten McCurran lives in the suburbs with her husband, young children and a dog named Jake. She lives out her vivid fantasy life through her writing. Kirsten is most interested in exploring the fantasies and inner sexual lives of women like her.
I guess this is not a hotwife tale in the true sense of the word but believe me Fiona is a HOT WIFE. It’s more of a wife sharing reverse age gap story where the wife gets an opportunity to “train” a young man in the ways of the world.
Her husband’s aunt asks him to spend a little time with his nerdy cousin Sam to maybe help him gain some much needed confidence. Josh of course shifts that task to Fiona. She finds some interesting ways to build his confidence. All with her husband’s blessing.
Kirsten does a masterful job of having Fiona walk the tightrope of sexual exploration with Sam while making sure Josh stays ok with everything. I loved that she relayed all of her and Sam’s sexual play to Josh without withholding anything. No lies, cheating or secrets.
The story is off the charts erotic from start to finish. I emphasize erotic. Not just sex for sex sake but genuinely heart beating eroticism. The way Fiona seductively calls Sam “honey” is so sexually charged I’ll never view that word the same again. (“Come on, honey. Take me. I want it, honey. Take me!”)
Things I enjoyed:
1. The hot scene in the movie theater. 2. Fiona in love with her husband and committed to her marriage. 3. Angst and jealousy not overdone. 4. The hot scene at the drive in movie. 5. Realistic escalation of Fiona and Sam’s sexual exploration. 6. Kirsten’s titillating writing without going into over the top sluttiness. 7. An older woman teaching an inexperienced younger man all the necessary moves. 8. The funny cosplay scenes.
I personally think this is one of Kirsten’s best works. She kept me turning pages never skipping or scanning. I hated for it to end. It goes into my five star+ read again bookshelf.
Left alone by her husband and son much of the time and between contract jobs, Fiona has spare time and could use some companionship during the summer. She agrees to spend some time with her husband's younger cousin, Sam. Fiona initiates Sam into sex; feelings grow on both sides. Fiona's husband, Josh, doesn't object and at times encourages Fiona. Fiona can't understand why he seems so blase about this and feels there must be something he isn't telling her.
Another fantastic story. This one is more of a sex tutor story than a hotwife or cuckold tale. There's a little bit of both in there but it's secondary.
You get a standard Kirsten story that is well told, with great sex scenes and good build-up. If you click with her type of writing and chosen genre I promise you some intense anticipation.
The build-up to the first sex scene in many of her books are what I enjoy the most.

This is the first story I’ve read in a while from Kirsten McCurran as I haven’t gotten into the Carol’s Trinity series. As always, I like her books, and this was no exception.
It’s a story of seduction wherein Fiona seduced her husband Josh’s nephew Sam - a 20 yr old college student back home for summer vacation. The seduction takes place on the recommendation of Josh. The sex is varied and fulfilling, most of it with an exciting edge.
We get a pretty good backstory on Fiona, but not much on Josh, other than he’s a “jock”. We also get little on Sam other than he’s a gamer. And, with Fiona’s encouragement that “he can have her anyway he wants”, he’s very successful at it.
I like seeing personal and relationship development in my stories. There was some personal growth in Fiona and the trysts with Sam perked up Fiona’s and Josh’s sex life, but otherwise I didn’t feel the personal and relationship growth I hoped for. I don’t feel Sam deciding he needs a girlfriend back at school counts as personal growth.
Perhaps part of my disappointment in the story is the foundation Ms. McCurran builds for terrific character development: Lying in bed or at the beach, Sam had the opportunity to open up about what he wanted or what he was missing. Sam and Fiona never revisited his gamer group; they seemed like a group of guys of various ages, with no chemistry. Sam never explained how the group came together, or why they stayed together, or why they tolerated Gary. And he never mentions his divorced parents and his father never comes up. Josh, while being challenged at work, never really explained what he hoped might come from Fiona’s experience with Sam. And divorced Trudy, Sam’s mum, seems oblivious; perhaps she can’t stop thinking about herself and her wants.
This is a good, fast paced story, but it could have been so much more. I look forward to Kirsten’s next book.
Wow! Kirsten keeps you on the edge wondering when, or if, Fiona will lose the fight in her head whether to give in to her urges or keep reminding herself that she is a married woman and she can't jeopardize her marriage to Josh. But then Josh is giving her the okay to just do what she feels like doing and she is conflicted. Just go ahead and read the story, you'll enjoy it just like I did.
The storyline is not your usual cuckold hotwife style. Hubbie mainly stays in the background and our heroine Fiona allows herself to sink into a salacious yet romantic relationship with an earnest young man. The sex is hot, erotic and really well written.
