When the coffee shop owned by Bailey Blakely’s found family is threatened by a new corporate coffee house, Bailey immediately makes her protest signs and starts marching in front of the building. She charms the construction workers, the project manager, and, without knowing, the owner of the franchise—Jackson “Jax” Roberts.
Jax is so successful in his coffee kingdom that he’s bored. He’s assembled a team of professionals that scout new locations, train new owners, and launch new ventures. He doesn’t have to do a thing. Then one day he gets a call that there’s a problem with one of their latest acquisitions. All it takes is watching one video of Bailey marching around in front of his construction site with her handmade protest sign and he’s smitten.
To Jax, Bailey’s a hot mess of baking products, marker, and glitter, but he’s never seen anyone sexier in his life. He’ll do anything for her to move her picketing from outside his building to inside his bedroom…even if it includes a little blackmail.
When the coffee shop Bailey works at is threatened by a huge chain store moving in next door she decides no way, not going to happen. She’s made a life for herself here and she loves living above the shop. Millie the owner is more than her boss she’s like a sister/best friend.
Having lost everyone that she’s loved she knows she can’t risk losing this also. So what’s a girl to do coming up against a billionaire? Protest. And she does it so damn well. I was cheering for her.
When Jax finds out what’s happening at his new store you think he’d be mad,. Well he is. With love. One look at his little protester and he’s found what he knew was missing from his life. Her.
Let the games begin!
The chemistry is heating up in this kitchen. So get ready to be cooked.
Bailey, or BB as she's affectionally called, is sunshine wrapped in glitter and full of energy, not to mention unending loyalty for those she loves. Which is what leads to her protesting a nationally known coffee business opening a new location next door to her chosen family, Millie's shop. She and Mike, Millie's husband, adore BB and the feeling is mutual. They took her in and gave her a chance, leading to her creating delicious baked goods that always sell out in Millie's store.
Jackson (Jax) is bored. And he knows how ridiculous that sounds considering he and his family are loaded, and adding to it every day, but it's the same old same old and he needs something new to spark his attention. Then he learns of an issue with a new project...namely a protestor that doesn't want the doors to open. When he's sent a video of the person in action, he's spellbound.
Bailey is so mad. Her attempts aren't working, and now the workers are being extra nice to her. When she bumps into a sexy stranger, she's immediately intrigued...then upset when she learns who he is.
Jax is determined to not only help Bailey, but to take care of her and give her everything she's ever wanted - including something she never knew she needed, his heart.

**I voluntarily read and reviewed and reviewed an Advanced Reader Copy of this book.**
The book has our quirky h who is out protesting to save the small coffee shop she works for against a big coffee chain empire, but things take a turn when she meets the hunky owner. The hero falls for the heroine after one look, then goes around to claim her. The story also has a big fluffy dog which is always a bonus.
H(JAX) - 32- He was a little bit cocky, but ooooooooooh SOOOOO Romantic and SO Charming.
h(Bailey)-21- She has got to be the MOST adorable being in this world. She was skittish+sweet+humble+stubborn.she was LITTERALY the reason why i will read this book again.
Uhhhhhh i got diabetes after reading her chapters.🥺🥺🥺🥺🍭🍭🍭🍭🍭🍭🍭

So smart and funny! Loved BB and Jax. Bear was a great little side character. Nice to see big business give it up for the little guy. Plenty of steamy times and completely safe. Not to mention the laugh out loud moments!
It's been so long since the last time I've read a book so sweet, funny with all the pure elements of romance. It may have been short and over the top, but that didn't bother me in the slightest. I loved both BB and Jax and I was never worried they'll find their HEA. From the onset it was evident that they are meant to be. I must have read it in no time and I was a bit bummed when it was over. Surprisingly it doesn't have my usual dark, angsty themes that I'd go in a romance, but hours later and I'm still smiling when thinking of this story. That's some serious glittery euphoria!!
A bored rich man in the middle of an existential crisis finds out that his newest construction project is being protested by a young woman whom he finds attractive. Immediately he becomes obsessed with her, researching, stalking and eventually blackmailing her so that she lets him move into her house because in his words, he “needs to get into her space”.
Everything was off. The tone, the atmosphere, the way the main characters were acting but I couldn’t bear to dnf (I mean it’s 90 pages…) so I forced myself to hate-read it.
I dare say that the male lead is creepy at Humbert Humbert levels. He keeps calling her my girl, my little protester and once a “fairy” ? His ickiness is only exacerbated by the heroine who acts very childlike. The whole thing is almost like those “barely-18” creeper porns. I don’t know. Sometimes the story can be interesting but the chemistry isn’t there. Maybe I’m the one who didn’t feel it.
Plus, throughout the whole thing, all I could think about was the fact that if you put glitter in paint, you don’t get glittery paint. Paint will do its job and paint the glitter flecks which will give you basically some crunchy paint. Trust me, I was once stupid enough to try it and see the results for myself.
Bailey or BB is a great friend and a great worker always thinking of others she's feisty and sweet... and she hears that a new coffee shop is opening next door.. to THEIR COFFEE SHOP!! Shes fighting this and protesting!! Making unoriginal signs and GLITTER!! protesting she's annoying some workers that are trying to get the coffee shop build.. until she into a little fight (words) with a jerk but girl is sneakkkyyy she swipes the keys from him.
With all that going down you have Jax being bored out of his mind. Not having anything to do since well his company of coffee shops is skyrocketing and when one of his workers sends him a video of Bailey against one of the construction workers send his blood boiling with rage for the guy pushing his girl..and his heart with want he books it to the small town ready to take what's his.. But her sassyness and her love for his dog Bear melts his heart more, wanting to date, marry her but Bailey isn't having it.. she pushs her feelings down since he is the enemy.. but she gets tiny bit blackmailed when she breaks in to mess up his paints or plugs by Jax when he catches her.. sexual tension is high until she gives in.
No ow/om drama, no cheating, Slight drama, secondary charas, virgin gal and no manwhores
Recommend- yes Cover- ⭐⭐⭐⭐
Instalove/lust Push/pull tiny from h Safe No condom Hea Epilogue
Short, sweet and tasty. Addictive... I need to stop reading these cute little novellas and focus on smth serious but they're like narcotics... Not that I know though 😂
Absolutely adorable!!! Jax sees Bailey on his computer screen protesting for what she believes in and he is completely gone for her. BB is a fighter and will continue to be. They are so adorable together.
-safe read -no talk of H history. He’s definitely not a MH or a ONS kind of guy. -h is a virgin -no om/ow drama -epilogue 2 years out.
This book was cute, but not as good as some of the other books. The characters seemed a bit one dimensional and I couldn't really root for either of them. This is surprising as I usually love Ella Goode's alpha males and funny females.
***Everyone needs a little sparkle in their lives.
Jax and Bailey are a great couple. I like these novellas because sometimes at the end of the day, you just want to sit down and get away from all the drama and do a little dreaming. And that's exactly what this book allows you to do. Absolutely loved Spark. Highly recommend. I read an advanced copy of this book.
Obviamente recomendadisimo!
I absolutely loved this story. Bailey is a feisty breath of fresh air. I loved her pure heart and her determination to help those she loved. Jackson was a good H. He was bored in his life and job, everything was just mundane for him. The moment he sees a picture of Bailey he is hooked and knows she is the one for him. Bailey’s heart becomes torn. She wants to save her best friends business but she is falling in love with the energy. I loved the journey these two take on their path to find love.
Safety and Spoilers Completely safe. No ow/om drama, a little minor drama towards the end. I don’t think H was a virgin, I think he was celibate for a long time but I could be wrong. h was a virgin. No abuse.
Spark by Ella Goode is a deliciously sweet enemies to lovers romance read. I loved the chemistry between the main characters- Jax & Bailey. They had such an amazing connection and chemistry that peppered the pages. I enjoyed the novella love story which was an insta-love / enemies to lovers romance. The heat between them is sensationally intense, the feels is sweet and the plot great!! Loved the outcome of this fabulous story.
This started out okay, but then became too silly. I'm not a fan of instalove, so that may be part of the problem. The novella length didn't help, it was hard to really care about the characters since they weren't fleshed out.
This is one funny, sexy, steamy story! I had so many LOL moments throughout this story, my side was hurting!!! Bailey is a baker for her friend's coffee shop and when big chain wants to move next door to her friend's shop. Bailey stages a protest and this where she crosses path with Jax, the owner of the franchise shop and their story unfolds. This is a fabulous entertaining read, that will leave you with a smile on your face! I honestly volunteered to review a copy of this story.
I cannot believe how darn cute and sweet Spark is! Bailey works so hard baking sweets for her best friend/boss to sell in her coffee shop. Things were great until a huge coffee shop franchise decides to build a location right next door. Bailey can't let them put her friend out of business. She immediately launches a protest. When Jax lays eyes the lady behind the protest, he knows that she is exactly what he has been searching for. Now he just has to convince her that he is not the enemy. Jax and his dog Bear are exactly what Bailey needs and vice versa. I am constantly blown away by Ella Goode and her ability to write unique characters that feel so real. I couldn't turn the pages fast enough and read this in one sitting. Jax and Bailey's story deserve all the stars!
What did I just read? Is this a novella? This was a really good book with no depth. And when I say no depth.... There was nothing but an intro with subtopics throughout the book. Jax is a Billionaire Man that is lonely, bored, interesting and is opening yet another coffee shop Bailey is a smart girl that lives above her friends coffee/bakery shop. She makes the most amazing sweets.
These two meet due to Bailey protesting the opening of Jax shop which will be located right next to her friends bakery. He instantly loves her, He instantly gives her whatever, He........
The story had all the premises to be a good book but fell flat b/c it felt incomplete with no depth.
