No matter what it takes.
This is the stuff of my fantasies. But the reality, I've learned, can be a whole different game.
And it's a game I have to win.

I just can't...I can't review this properly....and not because I didn't like it...I absolutely loved it. Truly reviewing it will give away some major plot lines. If you have kept up with the boys in the last 3 books, you NEED this one to give you closure. Will our four boys, Wade, Caysen, Dean and Garret find what they are looking for? Will they find even more? There are a few surprise twists in this final installation that will make you both gasp and swoon. I found this one to be one of the steamiest Daryl Banner stories for some reason but I absolutely loved every thing about it. Will Garret find his "Dom"? Will Dean find what is "missing" in his life? Will Wade and Caysen ever be more than "just friends"? You will find these answers and more. Who will win the game in the end?
Finally the boys are all together and getting what they each wanted...and possibly some things they never knew they wanted...but needed to be complete. Garret's fun and games come to an exciting head, while Wade and Caysen figure out what being "boyfriends" really means, and Sam and Dean's marriage gets an unexpected boost in the form of a ghost from the past. The whole series was so much fun, I hated to see it end. But all good things must come to an end (maybe) and only time will tell if we get to see these boys again...or if a new group of friends come back to entertain us. Bravo!
***** 5 ***** "I wanna play these fun games" stars
Wow! Just Wow! I fell hard for these boys. *Fans self* Just super HOT! Setting your e-reader on fire with how hot they are. I couldn't get enough..in fact I wanted more. Would have loved more background on Garret and Kevin behind closed doors, but remind you... it wasn't lacking... I'm just greedy. Lol. Wade and Caysen are just adorable. I can't get enough of these guys. I love all four of them. Great reading..
By Daryl Banner Release date: 6/28/2019 5 Stars In this the 4th and final book of the boys and toys novella series we find out what happens with our dear boys. This series has been so good and sweet and I’ve just enjoyed each one so much. So step back into the Boys world and find out what happens next with Dean, Garrett, Wade, and Caysen! 5 stars for my 4 boys and their toys!
Garret's Game is the perfect send-off for these boys and their toys. Daryl Banner digs a bit deeper with this last book in the series and I found myself falling even harder for Garret, Dean, Wade and Caysen. There is all kinds of happy going on with these sexy beasts as feelings, desires and a few surprises keep them occupied in more ways than one.
I love that Banner continues to use the sharp humor that these 4 friends share to successfully diffuse many a tense situation. But beneath all the fun and games is a genuine affection they have for one another. Despite life getting in the way for all of them as they get a bit more serious about their lives going forward, they are always there for one another. There is an especially very sweet scene at the book's end that shows just tight they will remain, no matter what and that made me smile so much.
As Banner ties up each of their stories, there are more than a few touching moments beautifully juxtaposed with the sexy that these delicious boys deliver like only they can. Their trysts are all kinds of hot and I loved being able to have a front-row seat for each and every one!
Once again getting all 4 POV's truly makes this book, like it's predecessors, feel complete. There are no questions as to what is inside Garret's, Wade's, Caysen's or Dean's minds and it just makes the reading experience that much more intimate.
I have really loved getting to know these 4 friends and the trials and tribulations of finding (and keeping) love, no matter the consequences. They all put their hearts on the line, albeit hesitantly at times, and I enjoyed every single minute.
Hopeful we hear from this crew at some point in the future, I happily give Garret's Game a solid 5 stars!
I always have high expectations when I read a new Daryl Banner book, as I love his work so much, and Garret's Game did not disappoint. The fourth and final book in the Boys and Toys Series' continues the journey with four friends Caysen, Wade, Dean and Garret. Told from each friends point of view, this book dives further into the relationship between these friends and gives the perfect ending to these friends stories, but still left me wanting more. Reviewing one of Daryl's books without spoilers is always difficult because what I love so much are the characters, how they interact, how they make me feel but you will just have to read it to experience it for yourself. This book centres around Garret, the continuation of his fantasy and culminates in something pretty special for him. Dean is surprised from something in his past, and his husband Sam embraces and supports Dean with it. I cant say much about Caysen and Wade, except that I am very happy with how this book ended for them. As with the other books in this series they are full of emotion, humour and are fun to read. Reading one of Daryl's books in a public place could be dangerous though. Be warned you may experience strange looks when you suddenly burst out into very loud laughter. Take it from me, I did it with this book. On an aeroplane, while trying to hide my screen from a young girl sitting next to me. This book may be best read in private if you don't want to embarrass yourself, but it must be read. The whole series is very highly recommended.
This book was the highlight of the series for me. There is so much love and devotion, friendship and caring between these four best friends. The author does a tremendous job bringing closure for the characters and the readers. This book offered me everything I look for in a book; and a few surprises along the way. "All of the blood rushes out of my head in a silent, sense-stealing sort of panic. I am literally incapable of a response or a reaction; I simply stare at him with my breath held and my lips parted." "Isn't this my fantasy? Isn't this happening right in front of my face? Isn't this type of situation exactly what I have been dreaming about for countless nights?" "Life is just a long series of waiting for ---- to happen." And my final quote from this book which sums up my feelings regarding the author's writing, "I'm genuinely stunned speechless." Daryl Banner has written a perfect book and the perfect conclusion to the Boys & Toys Series.
"Days Of Our Lives", Boys and Toys Edition, Volume 4 - Series Finale
Oh boy! You ain't seen nothing yet. In this final edition we get to see all the "feelings" come to a head and then head straight to the stratosphere and then to their HEA's.
This series was just outstanding and oh so fun to read. I love that we get 4 POV's in just about every chapter.
If you haven't read the first three, STOP....just stop. It's like coming into the middle of the movie and not knowing what's going on. Go back, right now and read the rest of the books then it will all make sense.
I can't wait to see what Daryl comes up with next for our perusal.
I totally volunteered to read an advance reader copy of this fan-damn-tastic series.
Finally everything clicked into place for the boys!!!!
In this fourth and final book, things are finally come around for all of our boys, not without incidents or detours, but they come along! Wade and Caysen are navigating the bumpy but exiting road of becoming boyfriends instead of only best friends; Dean and his husband Sam are more in love that ever and seem to have found a new sparkle in their reletionship, but news from the past will test their bond; Garrett finally finds the man who seems to be able to give him what he's looking for. I really enjoyed the journey Daryl Banner has taken us on with these 4 wonderful guys!
Garret finally gets some alone time with his boss his wildest fantasy but will it be all he truly wants. We also get to see whats going on with Dean and Sam and Caysen and Wade and how life for them is just beginning.. The story of 4 friends and how you can get through anything with good friends comes to an end..
This final book is the perfect ending to this series. I enjoyed the unique characters and their varied storylines... Each were sweet and fun on their own, but I loved that they were tied together by their friendships. This series is definitely recommended.
*I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book.*
Man oh man.....This book......This book had my emotions going every which way! I always love HEA's and to finally see all of them get theirs was bitter sweet. I kind of didn't want this series to end. I also have to say that this was the hottest book (in my humble opinion) out of the 4. What a fabulous way to finish an amazing series!!
This book is amazing, incredible, fantastic, intense...honestly I can't think of one word to encompass it all. It's a wild ride for the boys, loved every word of it, hope for more in the future. P. S. I never saw that coming.
I loved this group of Boys and Toys. They're varying degrees of sweet, sexy, funny, silly, naughty, and just a smidge of jealousy for one particular boy. I really hope there will be more boys and toys in the future! I loved that everyone is finding their happy place in the world. Favorite quote: "The game of life never ends. And when you play it with the right people by your side, you always win."
Thank you Daryl Banner for this fun ride. I look forward to whatever your kinky amazing mind brings us next! 😘
Daryl Banner gives us a satisfying end to a crazy fun series. The boys have some closure, and surprises abound, but in the end I am very pleased with the final “serving” of Boys &Toys. A quick hot read ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
What a fantastic ending! Garret’s Game is the perfect send off for the guys! I loved Garret, Dean, Wade and Caysen! Reading with the four povs was so enjoyable! I loved reading their stories and their journeys to finding love. I enjoyed every word! While they were all wrapping up their stories there was a surprise we weren’t expecting! It’s the perfect ending to a wonderful series! Thank you Daryl for giving us the Boys & Toys series!
4 friend's, 4 POVs, 4 HEA, Four lives forever changed. What a great series! It was sweet, sassy, funny and super sexy. The only way Daryl knows how to do it."The game of Life never ends. And when you play it with the right people by your side, you always win!!"There are some shock and awe moments in here. But I think it was perfect. Great ending to the series, but hope not a forever ending ❤️❤️
I am super sad that this could be the end for the boy's. Although I am happy that they are happy. We watched them grow and that was amazing. I can't wait to see what Daryl comes up with next.
This was a great conclusion to our guy's stories. Some interesting and completely unexpected things happen, but all in all, it was a very satisfying ending for all of them. They basically all find what they were looking for in a way. Bravo Daryl!
Garret's Game was well played. The last installment to this season of Boys & Toys exceeds expectations from cover to content.
From the cover standpoint, Daryl Banner hits the mark with one of my favorite cover model's Nathan Hainline. Hainline has been on various covers of Banner, including Hard For My Boss, Getting Lucky, Bromosexual, etc. Whenever, Hainline is on the cover, you know that the story is going to be epic.
What makes Garret's Game so great, is because so many ends were tied up from Boys and Toys 1-3, it was almost like it's on independent adventure. There is no shortage of aesthically pleasing underwear descriptions and lots of twists and turns. I loved the book so much, that I finished it in one sitting.
There is lots of relationship development, new characters are introduced, an amusing game of cat and mouse, a whole in a characters life is finally filled and spilled water leads to an epic love scene.
Yes! This is the one that makes reading the previous three in the series all worth the time! The payoff to the set-up is completely worth the wait. I appreciated the semi-resolution to Sam and Dean's situation in the previous book, but the final wrap-up in this one is perfect. And the same goes for Caysen and Wade's story. Garret and Kevin's entire situation in this book is the perfect ending/beginning for them. And we even get a little bit of closure for Caysen and Garret's status as frenemies, which is a nice little bonus! Yep, this was definitely my favorite of the series, but it wouldn't have had as much impact without the frustrations of the previous three stories. Good job!!!
This is book 4 in the series. It is a continuation of books 1-3. The series must be read in order. The book tied up a few loose ends from the other books nicely. Super sweet romance with a bit of angst. Fun with a lot of heart. The books are quick reads and are terrific. Not your usual novella length novel - these pack a full 4 characters worth of storylines in each novella. Great read!!
But it was over too quickly. I was so happy to see how Garret and Kevin's story played out and finally found the mystery that surrounded Dean... I really enjoyed these boys
I am so sad this mini-series is over, it was so much fun. As I said in my previous reviews of the others in this series for me it was like a guys side of sex & the city. I enjoy Banner’s quick humor and appreciate him taking a different approach for me it worked perfectly
‘Cleanliness is next to godliness – and my god is Kevin Kingston’
Author/composer Daryl Banner graduated from the University of Houston with a degree in Theatre and Psychology. His writing includes new adult romance, M/M romance, post-apocalyptic fantasy, and dystopian. According to his brief biography he is ‘most inspired by the smart and unlikely hero, but urges you (the reader) not to fall in love with them; they may deceive you with their innocence.’
The difference, or at least one difference in Daryl’s books – and there are now many of them – is that in addition to managing the erotica arena he adds sufficient character psychology to make his players not only interesting and exceptionally physically attractive but also variations on extremes of social behavior. And his choice of covers to introduce his story is exceptional – this book’s model was photographed by Nathan Hainline.
This is Book 4 of the terrific new series about four men who love to party and cruise – Caysen, Wade, Dean and Garret – and the four novellas focus on one man at a time, while keeping the camaraderie intact. GARRET’S GAME centers on Garret and his handsome enigmatic boss Kevin…and Garret’s submission fetish that needs to be validated. The manner in which the four best friends interact make this a very involving and fun novella full of erotic overtones and humorous adventures. Plenty of action and interaction among these four terrific best friends, and an even better story than the initial three, assures us that this new series is a complete success. And as always Daryl’s masterful tale spinning is as winning as the cover suggests.
