Barbara “Bobbi” Harris was a Real Estate Broker and Certified Residential Appraiser when she was called back into the nursing profession by a life changing event. She had a Near Death Experience (NDE) in 1983 that she described in her previous book Conversations with Mary: Modern Miracles in An Everyday Life that was published in 1999. Two of the stories are republished in this book Manifesting Miracles: True Stories of Extraordinary Coincidences. Her nursing career would evolve over the next three decades attaining proficiency as an adolescent psychiatric nurse, and a Certification in the coveted first group of Holistic Nurses in the country bestowed on her because of her body of work by The American Holistic Nurses Association (AHNA). Bobbi is a retired Registered Nurse and Licensed Massage Therapist who earned a Bachelor of Arts and Master of Science degrees. She taught Energy Healing for decades and has authored Spiritual Healing a seminar course. She also created an eclectic course for the staff and volunteers of Hospice of SW Florida (now Tidewell Hospice) called Caring Touch. She is a Reiki Master Teacher and a Certified Natural Health Care Practitioner. She was President of the National Association of Nurse Massage Therapists and led a movement to bring touch back into the nursing profession. She was Chair in Florida of National Conferences for The American Holistic Nurses Association, (AHNA) The National Association of Nurse Massage Therapists, (NANMT) and the Nurse Healers Professional Association (NHPA). Her life has been filled with synchronicity that she calls Divine Coincidences. They are events that defy the odds. She has carefully recorded and stored them in her computer files and now presents some of them in her current book Manifesting Miracles: True Stories of Extraordinary Coincidences. Her articles, short stories and scholarly papers have also been published in numerous nursing publications. Bobbi is a member of The Spiritual Writers Network and The Academy of American Poets. She also is the founder of The Live Poets Society in Sarasota, Florida. Her poems and short stories have been published in Finding Our Wings: A Collection of Angelic Short Stories and Poems, 2015, The Peacemakers and The Light Within: A Collection of Peace and Prose, 2016.
As a believer in manifestation, i was curious to read Ms. Harris' story, as well as intrigued by the premise that concrete examples exist of something that has always seemed just a bit out of my reach. Nor was I disappointed- for extraordinary it is. Although at first skeptical of her stories of visitations, in one form or another, from the Mother Mary, I was soon won over by the well-written and sincere descriptions of these and the subsequent telling of one coincidence after another in so many different areas of her life. An interesting and hopeful read, it is interspersed with poems written by the author that express in greater depth her feelings regarding the amazing occurrences surrounding her beliefs. An interesting book for anyone with an open mind and a longing to further delve into the study of "the divine synchronicity of God"
“Sometime letting go is an act of far greater power than defending or hanging on.” by Eckhart Tolle.
A beautifully written, heartfelt book with wonderful, fascinating instances where people are connected both in life and after this life. I am truly a believer and I think many nurses as time goes forward in life- often see the intersect of people we have been in contact with. As a nurse, we were taught “Go with your gut. If it feel wrong it probably is.” How true this has been! I read this novel in a day as it was compelling me to keep reading.
What a beautiful and inspiring book, full of everyday miracles! The stories were so riveting, I couldn’t put it down! Barbara Harris proves through her own life experiences that we are not alone, and that our prayers are answered. Miracles really do happen if we are paying attention and are open to seeing them. Inspiring and thought-provoking, this book is a gift from above!
Ok book. Lots of grammar errors wouldn’t recommend
Ok book. Lots of grammar errors and just not well written. It was a lot like reading disparate thoughts without continuity. Also things were mentioned that weren’t really relevant to the story. Enjoyed pieces, but wouldn’t really record it.
