Good suspense and continuation of the series. I like the way the storylines are presented with flashbacks and details to help understand the culprit better. Easy to follow although several characters. Good read. On the next part

Willow Rose is one of my go to authors. I love her work and am so happy to be with her fabulous characters, waiting to see what badness will befall them. I hope you enjoy the RUN.
We begin all over the place as we learn about the characters, flipping back and forth between them, getting their thoughts and feelings first hand.
I was just strolling along until…the open back door of Kelly’s house.
I say yes to the dark side of an author’s imagination!
Cast of characters:
Marcia: a schizophrenic
Mark: Marcia’s son
Mary: Marcia’s friend, and if I am ever in trouble, I would love to have her by my side
Harry: who is he…really?
Peter: has Cerebral Palsy
Kelly: is someone stalking her?
I purposely left out one character, because I want you to meet him for yourself.
Each chapter is told from a character’s point of view. I do like getting the lowdown straight from the horse’s mouth. I feel I get to know them better.
I do wonder how they all will come together. What do they have in common? I know Willow Rose has something in mind, because she always has a diabolical plot brewing, never giving her characters on easy ride. I’m at 44% and I am finding answers to SOME of my questions.
Willow Rose deals with some sensitive issues in a positive, yet at times, cruel way, which comes across as reality. The character of Peter Elingston, cerebral palsy, is true. Google it if you want to know more.
I can’t imagine how terrifying it must be, trapped in your own mind. This applies to Marcia and Peter. It may break your heart, but it left me feeling better when all was said and done. No matter how bad things got, Willow Rose ends it on a positive note.

A fast paced and intriguing thriller. It's a story about murders and a few crazy people who could be considered as suspects but not everything is as good as it seems. It will leave you guessing. The story starts a bit confusing at first because you can't get how the characters are related to each other. As you get the story of each character and start to interrelate them, the story becomes quite interesting. I must say the writer succeeded in holding me to the story till the end. I couldn't guess the killer until it was revealed. I loved how everything turned out in the end, it was fantastic.

Another great read by Willow Rose. There is no limit to the imagination when it comes to a book by Willow Rose. She will shock you everytime. I love that there is almost always two different major plots going on in her books and this book isn't any different. You Can't Run is a great addition to this series, Mary Mills Mysteries. Everytime I think Willow Rose can't outdo herself, or I think a have a favorite of her books, I read another of her books and I'm blown away. Her twists and turns always keep me guessing.

This 2nd book in The 7th Street Crew was an even better goodread.
It’s full of more painful emotions in dealing with alcoholism, mental illness as in Schizophrenia, unfaithfulness causing lack of trust and killing by someone unknown to me till the end. Again I was so into the characters, I couldn’t stop reading, not even for my fav Novak Djokovic playing in the US Open. The killing scenes were more suspenseful pending the final acts of death creating an edge of your seat feeling. I have book 3 and can’t wait to start it. I love this group of characters and can’t get enough of the trials and tribulations they experience. It’s great reading! Thanks Willow Rose!

this is the second book to "What hurts the most" and takes place in Florida with characters who grew up on the same street. Both books deal with different issues, this one alcoholism, schizophrenia and cerebral palsy. Definitely a good read for anyone who likes a good mystery with a little bit of everything on the side. Not to entice all her books are based on actual stories that have happened and the links are included in the end.

I love how Willow runs parallel stories that melt into one. I was really glad Marcia didn't kill anyone but her condition is very sad. I can't wait for her to get her kids back!

This is a great new mystery series that I found on Kindle Unlimited.
I wish I had started this series with book 1 because I definitely missed out on a lot of the dynamics between Mary and her husband as well as her brother. However that being said this was a good book however I will say I was a bit lost at the beginning with all the back and forth in time with the different stories before they started to converge. I think if I had read the first one this wouldn't have bothered me as much but once I got used to it I liked the flow.
This is a fast paced book with many moving pieces. I love how Mary and her friends all come together to help each other as their friend Marcia is slowly spiraling out of control. Is she Schizophrenic, an alcoholic, or is there more going on with the flashbacks and screams Marcia keeps hearing.
Mixed in with figuring out how to help their friend Mary and friends are also searching for her brother who she is coming to find out is a killer although I don't think even she knows the full extent of her brothers atrocities.
I will definitely be reading the rest of this series and also finding other books by this author, they are sure to make great summer reading.

Another great book by Willow Rose. Like book 1, it has flash backs and 3 separate stories going that converge at the very end perfectly but it can get a little complicated with the number of characters being introduced. My solution was to tape a large sticky note to my kindle cover and write the names of the characters as they are introduced.....at my age, it is a necessity but you younger readers can probably keep up just fine....lol
The story is complex and there are some difficult issues that are addressed but that just adds depth to the story. This was my 5th book by Ms. Rose (I'm on a bender now that I have discovered her), and I am beginning to learn that things are never as they appear to be in her books which is awesome! I love books that make you really think about who is who and what is what...who is real and who is not. Ms. Rose is an exceptional writer (although I do wish she wouldn't use the "GD" word in her books - even if it is just once or twice...."dammit" would work so much better). If you love twists, turns, complexity, and shocking endings to your mystery/thrillers, you will certainly enjoy books by Willow Rose.

If you haven't read the first book in the series, I suggest you do it before reading this one. The author doesn't remind us of the background too much for each character.

I finished Book #1 in the Mary Mills series and needed to find out what happened next. I was startled to discover that I started it a long time ago but never finished or even got very far in the story. As she often does, Willow Rose had several stories going. and the reader can't figure out how they're going to connect. But, of course, they always do. The surprise to me was that there was a Daniel from the past and a Danny from the present, and I was so sure they'd end up being the same person. Wrong!
For those of you who like my reviews to mention clean or not, there was sex mentioned in the plot ut never described, and the language was fine. Thank you, Willow Rose, for that!

Good Outline
You Can Run by Willow Rose tells an interesting tale or several.
I think my brain is protesting my reading this kind of book. Maybe it's my age but I had trouble keeping up with all the characters. As I would begin a new section I would think I was going to have to go back and reread a chapter because I didn't recognize a character. However in the next sentence it would become clear so I never actually reread. I do believe some of the timing was a few years off but who am I to complain.
I think Willow Rose is a great writer and getting better all the time. I was worried about one character but in the end she even found a place for Peter. So if your brain is young, try You Can Run for yourse!f, you will like it too.
ps: I found no tylos. LOL

Far too many characters and jumping around different time periods made the first quarter of the book confusing. This may be better if read vs audio but I listened to this book.
Spoilers - Mary keeps accusing her husband of cheating while on a separation which feels dramatic and false, and is really just a way for her to start dating this other guy who you know must be the killer because he's a) too perfect and b) sketchy at the same time. She goes through his briefcase and then immediately believes him that there's an innocent explanation? It felt like those horror movies when you're screaming at them to get out of there and they keep kissing the bad guy.

While some do not like the going back and forth in time, I enjoy it. It gives me insight into the story. It is fun getting to the motive, guess who is doing what, "Hmm, didn't something similar happen here?", or "Where have I seen that name before?".
Now I am into the next of the series "You Can't Hide".
BTW, I jumped into this without reading "What Hurts the Most", the first in the series. "You Can't Hide" brought me up to speed without being tedious. But interesting enough that I want to go back and read.

You Can Run - Away from this book while there's still time.
Maybe it just wasn't the right time; bad lighting or a sour mood. I am usually quite passionate about finishing what I start when it comes to books but this one left me cold. The author (whose name is surely a pseudonym) kept jumping from one situation to the next with no connection. The characters were archetypes and there was absolutely no compelling reason for me to care about any of them. I am spoiled by some really good books, and I don't have time for this nonsense. (Of course, that's just my opinion). Happy reading!

Engrossing
The first two books in this series are extremely engaging, you just have to keep turning pages. The characters and their situations are interesting. The plot is very twisty and you can’t put everything together until the end where everything fits very neatly like a finished crossword puzzle. There are chapters about seemingly unrelated events in the past but in the end you see how they led up to the present day situation. Very readable.
There are some misused words such as “sew” instead of “sow.”

'You Can Run' really had me glued to the pages. I couldn't put the book down. The storyline was full of suspense, thrills and twists and turns. The way it played out was surprising. I wasn't sure where or how it would play out. The characters were great. Mary is very tenacious. Once she gets an inkling of the truth, or possibility of the truth, she doesn't let go. The crew as a whole is such a great family. I look forward to reading more. A great add to your tbr list. Recommended.

The Crew is back together again (or not in some cases) is this second installment. You Can Run has elements about love, revenge, mental illness and serial killings. It's neat the way Ms Rose pulls all these elements and the characters together in a way that keeps you on the edge of your seat and guessing until the last page.
For those who want to know: This one has L,S,V and mature themes. Definitely an 18+ read.

A fast-paced horror mystery!
People are dying and the 7th Street Crew needs to find out why! The plot keeps you guessing and it takes a while to get all the characters figured out, but this book will keep you reading from the very first page. I enjoy this author’s books! The plots twist and turn so I am never bored but definitely scared a lot.
People are dying and the 7th Street Crew needs to find out why! The plot keeps you guessing and it takes a while to get all the characters figured out, but this book will keep you reading from the very first page. Surprising ending
I have a hard time remembering names so it's hard for me to keep up with them in the book but I hang in there knowing she'll get there in the end. The first book I gave it a 1 star because I couldn't keep up with it but then went back to finish reading and liked the ending. Mary had no right to treat Joey that way because she did the same thing while separated from him.

Good book!
Flows well shows realistic improvement in condition for both Mary’s dad and Peter. Really a sad comment on families that there are one…two….3 no four families that are on the damaged and not likely to survive as families list. Also there are a lot of murders in this book and most of them are really evilly heinous. Blake is still out there killing people for thrills too.

FABULOUS FABULOUS FABULOUS.
Willow Rose is one of my favorite authors. I have loved each and every book of hers that I've read and this book was absolutely fabulous. Willow weaves a tale of mystery and intrigue in all of her books. I highly recommend that you read anything written by this author. She is that great.

Pretty good read
You Can Run is a second in a series. It was a little too predictable for my taste. Again, the author used a story telling style that keeps jumping from past to present among the different characters. The past story helps explain what is happening in the present but it makes the book choppy and hard to follow.

Book two took a little longer to get going but once it sped up, Willow Rose’s eerie style shown brightly.
Mary decides to stay in her hometown of Cocoa Beach. Her father needs her and her son needs stability. Besides, she still has to find her brother before he does more harm. However, it seems like harm follows her. After a string of murders, she faces fighting for her friends, once again.
