There is always a reason behind every catastrophe and miracle, every curse and blessing. Divinity wears many faces and none of them are pure. With Hell’s instability and Lucifer’s waning energy, the Hell Hounds are needed now more than ever. Valor’s pack must bond or they’ll never survive their future. Or their present.
As the Hell Hounds pick up their broken pieces, they are given a gift - one that’s both too painful to accept and too perfect to turn down. Now, they just have to make sure they don’t destroy it… or themselves.
This is a Reverse Harem Novel with graphic language, sexual content, and violence. Don’t step into this world unless you want to play with the big boys. And yeah, they run in packs. All the Hell Hounds do.
Hard to Kill is Book 3 in the Second Trilogy of the Hell Hounds Harem series. Must read entire trilogy in order.
Briana Michaels grew up and still lives on the East Coast. When taking a break from the crazy adventures in her head, she enjoys running around with her two children. If there is time to spare, she loves to read, cook, hike in the woods, and sit outside with a fire. She does all of this with the love and support of her amazing husband who always has her back, encouraging her to go for her dreams. Aye, she’s a lucky girl indeed.
So, starting these 3 books (Hell Hounds Harem, books 4, 5, and 6) I was a little worried I wouldn’t love them as much as Sara and her hounds. I was so wrong. I really enjoyed Tilly and her boys. Drake and Bishop 😍. Well, all of them. Drake has a special place in my heart.
Tilly is strong, yet vulnerable as is her pack. They’re all wounded heroes and each of their stories are so unique.
I love this world that Briana has created. The mythology and magic is fantastic. I also really enjoy exploring the “good” in darkness and the “bad” in the light. The Angels are flawed and relatable. The hounds, Devil, and “negative” beings are always trying with their whole hearts to do good and set things right. That damn letter from Lucifer-ugh it got me. It got me good.
It was so good to see Sara and her hounds as well. It was also great to see Sara and Tilly interact. There’s no bullshit between the women. They’re both fierce and respect one another, even though they are the only women in this world.
The power of a pack. It stands so strong in this. You really understand how much we need one another’s love and trust, and with it, we can overcome any odds. Together we’re stronger. That’s really what this entire series is about. Angel, demon, hound, one lover, 4 lovers none of that matters as long as you stand strong together. Damn books are literally filled with quotes that get your ass up when you’re down.
Are these 3 books sexy? Oh, fuck yeah! Funny? For sure. Will they break your heart a little? Most definitely! Will you get behind this pack? Absofuckinglutely.
Will you be left thinking “hey! How about an Angel harem?!” Um, yeah. Yeah I think you will.
The story of Lucifer and his star packs (and the rest of the packs) is far from over. That you can tell. If you were hoping for the end of the mystery, you won’t find it. I’m entirely riled up now. All sorts of pumped and inspired to see some ass kicking and getting balance restored! I would also like to see some more of the Loas and bring back the Dark Truth!! She’s got a story to tell and I’m chomping at the bit to hear it!
Briana-this fucking world, woman! I’m so deep in it, can’t wait to see what comes next!
Holy crap!! Can I be a hell hound and have my own hell hound pack? PLEASE?! Seriously though, I loved these two trilogies about two different hell hound packs. The author is amazing when it comes to really making you feel the bonds between the packs. The loyalty, love, just wow. And the steam, holy crap girlfriend knows how to write a sex scene. My favorite part is that the overall story isn’t finished, so their will be more books, thank GOD! Idk if the books will be about another hell hound pack, or if we will finally see Lucifer get his happy ending. I need an angel harem please! These 6 books need to be read in order!
DAMN! brilliant series so far I love all the characters they are so great and so awesome they were all released so I could scream Noooooo when it ended and then run and squeal when I saw I could jump right to the next one I swear I binged all 4 in two days. I wish there was more!
only one thing I had a question on and its how many souls go to hell? it doesnt seem like a lot I'm assuming a majority go to heaven and there are the select few a day that go bad and come to hell? it just sounded by they way they talked about the numbers and how hell seems set up that not a lot go to hell? and I'm basing this on how we know thousands die every day? anyways just was curious about that part
ALSO I wanted to read about the Twin Sandwich dammit!! lmao not sure if the next books in the series will be a new set of characters or a continuation? I feel like based on what we read it will be a new set to fall in love with
I loved reading about Tilly and her hounds! The whole plot line with the unknown Master has spanned over 2 trilogies now and will continue with Lucifer’s trilogy, but each trilogy focuses on a different set of characters and how this whole nefarious plan is affecting them. Tilly’s backstory with the curse was an interesting one to watch unfold over the series.
The relationship development between all 5 main characters were phenomenal, nothing was ever rushed and each relationship is unique which was obvious from the first book. I think it is important when the author takes the time to develop strong relationship building with the characters because it helps me connect to them more as a reader.
This is a story full of diehard loyalty, self sacrifice, passionate and powerful love, Angels, Hell Hounds, and of course a sexy Lucifer who melts my heart with his unconditional love and devotion to his family (and yes, Lucifer considers his hounds his family). I cannot stress enough how amazing this entire series is from the start of the journey with Sara and through Tilly’s story and I know the next trilogy will be just as epic, if not more!
This series is getting better and better. Holly hell. I read this book like a starved person on an empty island. To say that I liked this book would be an understatement. I'm reading more of Briana Michaels books cause now she's a legend y'all.
Not enough hours in the day to read, work and stuff get in the way but this series is just attention grabbing so sleep takes a back seat. Again, the second trilogy delivered in full, no waiting for the next book, yes it kind of ended in a cliff hanger but was all tied up as well, tight story, concise and detailed but enough warm/ hot/ loving moments dotted throughout to keep it all flowing perfectly. Get some Hellhound on your reading list, you won’t regret it. Fight Hard, Live Wild, Love Fierce Hounds
So this will be kind of a spoiler but one that is kind of obvious.
Tilly becomes a hound. It's hard to say anything about the book without revealing that information because the book is mostly about her transformation. It's been a while since I've read the previous trilogy so I don't really remember if they've discussed the whole transformation process, but I didn't think so. It's not just fixing her body up and putting her soul back in. It's a whole process with different stages. They show the stages while Tilly is still busy making the pack better (making them communicate more). You get to read about the pack from the previous trilogy in this book a lot as well. Some mysteries get solved. The ending felt a bit weird, because the story isn't really finished. It's finished from this perspective, but it will go on from Lucifer's perspective I think. Btw, the only reason it took 3 days for me to read this book is because I'm moving so I dont really have a lot of time.
There is one hot sexy scene where there is some definite m/m action but it seemed more like something to do with making it even better for her I gave it a pass. She comes alive due to Lucifer's power I was almost expecting for him to keep her after all the sexual tension between them and the way how gentle he was with her. I liked the way she changed, how we got an even better glimpse into her life, or how the guys opened up one by one and shared their past. Especially the twins, their past was gruesome to the extremes, they were dealt the worst it seems, and they suffered so much before being killed in the first life. It was a good end of their story although I have zero interest to read about the Angel's storyline. I just like reading about the hell hounds, they sound much more primal and loyal than the scheming of angels.
This whole series has captured my attention so heavily I don't want to do anything else but read it. I love the story. I love the characters. I love the world. It's amazing!!!!
I love Tilly. I think I like Tilly more than Sara. We always heard that Sara was a badass but we never saw it. But with Tilly, we saw her life and her struggles and how amazing she was to grab life by the balls and make it her bitch. She is a badass magic worker, fiercely loyal and passionate.
I loved her Hounds too. Drake has a special place in my heart. He was dark, broody and all Alpha until Tilly made his soul return. Baz, Bishop and Valor are amazing Hounds too. I am happy that they healed their pack and became a real pack for eachother.
This one builds and builds and you’re ready for an epic battle… and it saves it for the next trilogy. There’s not really many answers to be had in this book. It’s not as wrapped up into a trilogy as the first part of the series was, and definitely fells like a middle of something. So as a trilogy: not amazing. But part of the overarching story it’s action packed and fast paced with high stakes and a bazillion emotions going on. Relationship-wise everything progresses to where you’d think it would, and that scene finally happens. (You know you’ve all been waiting for it). Pretty sure we were nudged about the female MC for the next trilogy too.
Brianna Michaels continues to outdo herself as she takes book six, in her Hell Hounds Harem series to the next level. Hard to Kill is a steamy and adventurous plot, as she shares the transition experience into becoming a Hell Hound, and the beautiful journey of bonding as a pack. Just when you think you know where she's taking the plot, Michaels wickedly smiles and twist it into a new direction, as she masterfully interweaves old and new characters into the storyline.
Oh, I don’t know how to write this review! This pack is my favourite of the Hell Hounds so far. They were so broken, dark and twisty. I’m desperate to read on to the next Hell Hound series when they are written. The world the author has created is detailed and addictive! Great end to this packs story of them coming together, love the addition of another female Hell Hound (can I be recruited too please?!).
Oh man! I have a new favorite author and series at the moment! What a way to start off the new year. I seriously can't get enough. I love Tilly and Sara and their hounds and Lucifer. These books were everything and I'm an seriously distressed that it's over, time to go stalk an author for updates on more because no way is their story done. Highly recommend every one of these books but they must be read in order.
In this the sixth installment of the Hell hound series, does not disappoint! I love all the characters and everyone of the books. I’m really anxious to see Lucifer’s story come to life. I still love my voodoo man Jack! However, the Scotsman has a special place in my heart as well.
This book and series will keep you going from start to finish! It keeps you completely invested in the characters and storyline. I love this story so much and will definitely be rereading! Very satisfying, but I did not want the series to end!
Another great trilogy in the books, literally. Hotter than the first two books, somehow, Hard to Kill showed us the growth in the characters while leaving us still wanting more. Excited to see where this story goes.
I think I enjoyed the first trilogy more. There was just a LOT happening here, and it wasn't fleshed out as well. Still an enjoyable story and I'm looking forward to the next three. I haven't looked, but I'm guessing the Paris pack is the one who finds their girl next.
Totally hooked on this series, loved reading about another pack but still reading about Sara and her pack too. Things are tense and uncertain at the end. I can't wait to see what happens next.
Sorry Lucifer, but I won’t be reading your trilogy. I just wanted to know who the villain was and since I got that, I don’t really see the point in continuing coz God, the lags aaaarrrgggghhh. Yeah, I’m done!!!!
Loved the conclusion to this and Tilly is still awesome. Honestly Tilly is much more badass then Sara in my opinion. Can't wait for the epic conclusion and I really want Luce to have someone. On to the next book!
This was a good final book for Tilly and her pack. The twin girls are definitely creepy. And good for Tilly when she encounters the baddy and his cronies towards the end; she’s such a smarty. It was beautiful to see this pack become so cohesive.
I love this world and these hounds. I like Tilly. Sara and her place os still my favorite and it was awesome seeing them in this book and interacting and the bonds that are strong and it’s just awesome.
The whole series up to this point has been great. I can see everything like a movie and can stop reading. The anticipation to find out what’s going on and who the person is behind all of this is great. I’m excited to start the next book
I think I like this one the most so far. There are a few funny moments which was nice. I’m loving the mystery side and hadn’t figured out the big bad. Great chemistry in the pack and it’s believable. I love multiple points of view.
I am so happy that I have read this series and the books come out they way they did. I’d hate to finish one and have to wait for more! This author is one of my favourites and I’ll continue to have her on my watchlist! Can’t wait for more of her books!
