Writing is my passion and my mission is to provide readers with romance novels that will whisk them away into another world and from the daily grind of life - one book at a time.
I thoroughly enjoyed this read from one of my go-to authors when it comes to light romance. Adalyn and Harrison's story is quite unique that got me hooked right after reading a few pages. It was such a sweet and romantic story! It was a fun and fast read. I just wish the ending isn't that rushed but nevertheless it was a good read.
It’s been a while since I read a book written by Sandi Lynn, the Forever Series is one of my all time favorites still to this day. Honestly I stopped reading her books because they got a little too fluffy for me. The Ring sounded interesting and I’ve been in such a terrible book funk lately so I decided to give it a try and I’m glad I did.
Adalyn lives in Seattle and she goes on a dream vacation to Antigua with her boyfriend of three years, Stephen. While scuba diving she finds a beautiful expensive ring with an inscription — “TO MY DARLING MARY, MY SOULMATE FOR LIFE”
Two weeks after returning home from vacation her life does a complete one eighty and goes to shit. It’s her birthday, she gets fired from her job, goes home to discover Stephen packing all his stuff. He’s met another woman who he claims he’s in love with and he’s leaving her. Just when she thinks things can’t possibly get worse her apartment building burns to the ground and she loses everything.
She moves in with her best friend, Carly and her husband, Daniel. When Daniel’s grandma comes for dinner and hears everything that’s happened to Adalyn she tells her to get rid of the ring immediately. The ring is a symbol of true love. It was given to Mary by her soulmate and it’s not meant to be worn by anyone else.
Adalyn doesn’t feel right disposing of the ring or selling it and cursing someone else so she decides she’ll find Mary and return her ring. The name of the designer is on the inside of the ring, he owns a shop in NYC so she books a flight there.
Harrison Grant is 30 years old, he has a twin sister named Athena and together they run the family business, Infinity Luxury Hotels. He is a very troubled man who carries around a lot of guilt and thinks he isn’t worthy of love.
When Adalyn arrives in New York City the book really takes off and pulls the reader in with every page until the very end. This book was sweet but it also had a bit of mystery and some angst which helped to remind me why I liked Sandi’s books in the first place.
3.5 🌟 está linda lo lees fácilmente y en una noche es una lectura ligera y entretenida, pero a veces me parecía poco creíble y pues no entendía de donde nacía el amor en fin me gusto pero me falto ese algo para amarlo.
Only Sandi Lynn can make you fall in love with a guy who is rude, arrogant and disrespectful. She makes you believe that a ring lost 25 years ago had the power to bring Harrison and Adalyn together. There were times you wanted to strangle Harrison but deep down you knew there was a different man than the one he showed everyone. He didn't feel that he deserved to be loved because of what he told his mother on the night she died. Guilt can do many things to a person. But from the moment he met Adalyn he knew she was different. When he told his sister "It hurts, Athena. Why does it hurt." That was when you knew Harrison was not the man he showed everyone but a man capable of love and so much more. Once again Sandi Lynn transforms a guy you want to hate into a guy you want to fall in love with and want for your own. Another great read by an author who can perform miracles with her words.
As soon as I started reading The Ring, I devoured it as I was intrigued by the plot and I couldn’t wait to see what was going to happen next. This unique storyline involves Adalyn who found a beautiful diamond ring on her vacation in Antigua with her boyfriend at the time. Unfortunately for Adalyn, this ring brings forth a chain of unlucky events for her and in order to restore her luck, she must return the ring to the owner.
Fate brought Harrison and Adalyn together and not only did I absolutely love the premise of their story, but I loved them even more. I’m a big fan of Ms. Lynn’s writing style as she always nails it when it comes to creating hard hearted, selfish and arrogant heroes and then finds a way to turn them into redeemable men. Harrison is all of those things coupled with a sexy and strong aura. He also had some swoon worthy moments. Adalyn is a sweet, kind and selfless heroine with a feisty attitude that she reserved just for Harrison which was quite entertaining. And the sexual chemistry between these two was oh so HOT!! The Ring is an wonderful book that I highly recommend reading.
I'm normally a huge fan of Sandi. She was one of the first couple authors I clung to when I started reading in my spare time. Her books left that sort of impression so when I say this, I mean it in the nicest way. This story felt soooo rushed, cliche and super cheesy. When did they fall "in love"? What was there to even love about Harrison? For such a "strong" woman, she's caves just like that? And really? "I forget my bc and doubled up " bit was smh. I know stories like this one are flooding the romance genre but you can always tell when an author is truly gifted in writing and making it their own, even if it's the 1000th time told. Ya know? This felt like a completely different Sandi. I tried really really hard to like it and managed to finish it. So many times, almost quit, but I was holding out for it to get better. It never did. I'm disappointed.
This story leads a woman on a Journey across the country to right a wrong not just because her life is taking apart because she believe in a curse but to try locate the owner of a beautiful ring she found that she believes she needs to be return it to its owner . Adalyn, seems not to be able to shake off the story behind the ring even though she traveled the long distance to return it. Harrison seems like the typical young ass billionaire that has no respect for women at any level since he has no trouble hooking up when his desire needs to be satisfied. Of course his actions run deeper than just being a Narcissistic Jerk!! One could say it was coincidence that their paths crossed once but wait till you read the story and see where the history of the ring leads her.
All in all I found this to be a teachable lesson to affairs of the heart. While there was sexual encounter they were consensual and used for the same purpose by two people with the same needs that were attracted to each other. Happy Reading everyone.
Adalyn Banks It starts with a ring I found at the bottom of the ocean while scuba diving on vacation. The ring led me to New York to return it to it's rightful owner and that's where I met Harrison Grant.
Harrison Grant I was living my life the way I wanted by being successful, rich and dating a multitude of beautiful women whenever I wanted. I didn't answer to anyone until I met Adalyn Banks. How will things work out for them both?
The ring was awesome. you could tell that both the main were attracted to each other even though they tried to ignore their feelings. The book was funny in parts and it was Pheonomally written I enjoyed it that much I couldn't put it down and it keeps you entranced from start to finish.
This is the first book I've read by Sandi Lynn and wasn't sure what to expect and Oh My God what a fantastic read. I would highly reccomend this book to be read as I'm temped to read it again.
What a fantastic book!!! Adalyn and Harrison just fit…. Unfortunately Harrison took a while to realize this! Adalyn finds a ring while scuba diving in Antiqua. 2 weeks later all hell broke loose with her life. Read this book to find out the trials and tribulations or their relationship. As a matter of fact, you need to read all her books. Her writing style is amazing, at least to me! I have read all her books UTD today except one. I will be starting that after review finished. There were 2 books previewed after I finished with her latest book. I assumed they were both new. After the first chapter I knew I had already read this book I decided then to re read!! So glad i did!! Sorry for the wordy review. Read ! Enjoy!
Love this book. I adore Sandi Lynn’s writing, whenever I’m in the mood for a sweet, romantic quick and not too many angsts and drama free I reach for one of her books. The Ring has a little bit of mystery to it as the heroine Adalyn Banks tries to find the rightful owner of said Ring. Which leads her to New York where she meets the hero Harrison Grant, a cold hearted, emotionally unavailable but everything changes once they meet. I love the relationship between the brother and sister, their grandmother Mary and their father. The Ring is a quick, romantic read that whisks me away to a happy world where two beautiful strangers find their happily ever after.
I loved this storyline, I appreciated the process it took the main characters to get back together, I do wish that the reconcilation process was more developed and more gaps were filled but outside of that this book was excellent. As always the snippet at the end of the book is now a most read for me. Sandi is definitely one of my favorite authors as of this very moment.
Needed a "no thinking" kind of retreat for the brain and I found it in this book. A little cheesy, a little hard to believe, a little rushed BUT it was just what the day and my mind needed. So I thank the author for the escape for allowing my escape from real life.
This is a super quick read about a woman named Adalyn who finds a ring while on vacation. Once she finds it her life turns to shit. Adylyn sets out to find the rightful owner of the ring. She feels that it is only right to give it back. Maybe once she gives the ring back her life will turn around.
An emotional rollercoaster from beginning to end. Adalyn and Harrison's internal battles against letting themselves feel love again were superb. Once again Sandi Lynn shows she knows her writing and how to capture our hearts. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book and was a pleasure.
Harrison and Adalyn's story is one of my favorites. Sandi really knows how to keep you wanting more and fighting for the love to happen. Life gives many ups and downs but love will always win.
I read this book and it feels like I was watching a YouTube video in x2.5 speed everything was super fast. Maybe I'm used to long books and more details? I don't know, I just thought it was going to be really good because the backcover sounded so interesting but the writing was not for me.
I absolutely loved this book, sometimes it takes finding something so Beautiful that's makes such great pain for another to get to where your destiny lays and your true soul mate awaits.
I usually enjoy SL's books. But what is going on with her editing?!! This was a very good, very sweet story with a little bit of steam, but there were quite a few errors where editing was concerned.
Fun, easy read. loved the characters, I just wanted Mary to be there when Harrison finally got a clue. Sandi Lynn is one of my go to authors when I need to get over bad book choices. Loved it.💖💖💖
Harrison was a real douche canoe when the book started but he did finally learn to live himself with a little help from Adalyn! Secondary characters had a love story within this book, which I was hoping for so happy with this book. First book I read by this author.
This book was so good, it moved along so quickly, didn’t go into unnecessary detail and kept flowing from page one. The story was great and kept you captivated throughout. Highly recommended.
Sandi Lynn didn't disappoint. I got started with Sandi Lynn reading The Kind Brothers. The Ring was just as good. She is one of my go to reads. I enjoyed this book. Read in one day so good.
