On a trip to the thrift store to shop for clothes for the upcoming twins, five-year-old Lucy Sei perceives a mysterious painting, in which she becomes drawn to. Suddenly, she appears to have created an imaginary friend, under the name Kimmerie, based on the antique portrait she saw. When her parents, Adam and Tessa Sei, notice that her behavior has changed abruptly, they fear for the worst when Lucy becomes violent and aggressive, unlike her innocent personality. What they didn't know is that Kimmerie is more than just an imaginary friend. Back then, Kimmerie is hiding a dark secret that even Lucy may not have known.
After dropping out of pre-med, Nicole Cheng found their true passion for writing. As an English major, and with a BA degree in English, Cheng went on to reading novels by their favorite authors as well as writing their poetry, short stories, and even novels of their own. The main themes in their books focus on certain societal issues, the Asian-American community, and the LGBTQ community. Cheng is non-binary and they go by They/Them pronouns. Their goal is to express their thoughts about life, personal experiences, and the everyday lives of Asian Americans.
