How do you get the truth heard…
When those who’d rather keep it silent fear nothing?

Detective Lawrence Hoskins hasn’t been back to work yet; not since the incident that almost cost him his career, his pride, his dignity and his life. He tells everyone he’s doing fine. Sometimes he believes it. But when a former work acquaintance opens up about her missing twin he welcomes the chance to busy his mind with something else. In more ways than one.

Attractive medical examiner’s assistant Catherine Marshall describes her brother Simon as a good man with a kind heart who simply vanished without trace in the summer of 2014. But it’s not long before Hoskins learns not everyone remembers the nightclub DJ in the same way. The more questions he asks, the more the picture distorts.

With no other means of getting to the truth, Hoskins retraces Simon’s steps to the exclusive nightclubs of the east coast where – five years on – danger still lurks beneath the bright lights and under-the-table exchanges. And when he’s singled out as an unwelcome tourist the walls close in around him fast.

His every instinct screams at him to run. But finding Simon is about more than impressing Catherine, it’s a test of nerve...

One he’s not at all sure he can pass any more.

T.L. Dyer is a writer of character-driven fiction, including crime, police procedural and dystopia. Her stories and characters delve, discover and disrupt, always teetering precariously on that thin line between darkness and light, right and wrong, good and bad.

She is particularly keen on exploring those individuals who set themselves apart from the norm or who stray down a different path. Taking her lead from the characters themselves, she trails behind scribbling notes and trying to keep up as they take her on a breathless, heart-thumping and thought-provoking journey, with no knowing where she might end up.

T.L. lives in South Wales, UK, with her family and eternally bedraggled Yorkshire Terrier.

This is a wonderful addition to this thrilling series!
Wonderful well written plot and story line that had me engaged from the start.
Love the well fleshed out characters and found them believeable.
Great suspense and action with that adds so much to the story.
Such a thrilling read that I couldn't put it down.
Can't wait to read more of these.
Recommend reading.

This was my first novel by T.L. Dyer, and I was very impressed with the skillful writing. The plot and characters are well thought out and portrayed in realistic fashion. You feel for the characters. There was one twist in particular that took me completely by surprise. Although I had not read the previous novel in this series, I was able to follow what had gone before due to the way the book was written. I would recommend this book/series.

I enjoyed it. Book 2 in the Hoskins & Fletcher series has Hoss and Cass doing investigative work while they are off on sick leave from their Police jobs A mystery that sees them both in danger while looking for answers. Hoss is thinking about starting a PI business and wants Fletch to join him. They are good friends and have each other's back when things turn deadly. I would recommend this book to anyone who enjoys mysteries. i received this book as an ARC and this is my honest review.

Having received this book via a free book offer from the Author, with no pressure to review, I was uncertain what to expect.  Well, I was not disappointed.  The story is concerned with two young and recently retired detectives from the same police department who are taking time out to decide in which direction to proceed with their life going forward.  Cass and Hoss are ex-colleagues, both have very different aspirations but remain friends.  As the story proceeds we find each of these characters becoming involved in separate, unpaid, cases.  Hoss applies for a Private Investigator Licence and attempts to persuade Cass to join him.  However, Cass has her own ideas and is resistant.  However, as the story unfolds, we see both cases unfold and the two characters support If one another.  An excellently developed story that keeps the reader gripped right to the very last page.  There are ups and downs, highs and lows. Nail biting, exciting, and unlike any other book I've read so far.  This is Book Two of the Series and I was so impressed I have purchased Book one so I can get the back story whilst waiting with baited breath for the launch of Book three.  Whilst Never Heard can be read as a stand alone, I can honestly say that I cannot wait to read Never Seen, Book one, before I can get my hands on Book Three.  So pleased I chanced upon this talented Author.

Good storyline

Well written to keep your interest to the end despite having answers before the end, the conclusion tidied them up.
