Human overpopulation is killing our planet. As a terminally ill patient of a certain age, Willy knows his duty to humanity. His doctor has referred him to be euthanized, and that is exactly what he intends to do. His condition is treatable, but regulations are clear. It's time to step aside and stop wasting resources for those who are younger, more valuable. Those who can still contribute.

So why is he having second thoughts? He is a number, a drop in the bucket. Will he even be missed? His wife Helen passed years ago, and he hasn't spoken to his son Bill since before that. How can he possibly think that his life still has value?
