Nothing is the same.

In the wake of the destruction of Aieclo, Valrin has lost everything. But the genie that saved him, his crew, and countless others, has both a passage ahead and a secret of his own to hide.

Unnatural fogs roll across the Glacial Seas, the waters are warming, and when the genie offers his help, Valrin will be forced to leave his crew behind and journey into the unknown.

With only one other soul, Millia, a woman that somehow owes a life debt to the genie, they must hurry if they're to get ahead of what's encroaching upon the Glacial Seas.

But what more will it cost them and how long do they really have until Marog returns?

Loved the pace of this one. Very much a bridge book between what has happened and what is yet to come.

Valrin needed this slap back to reality, so he could recenter himself and be the Captain his crew needs.

He's made foolish mistakes but as is the theme in this story, we are not defined by our past.

So excited to see Millia!! If you haven't read The Thief's Sin this is as good as time as any to pause this saga to read it!

So much growth for both Valrin and Millia in such a small package.

This was like Lord Of The Rings meets Pirates Of The Caribbean, although I was surprised just how short each book was and I found the duologue heavy writing style dull and I liked the action but I found it too short.

Continues the story of the stormborn & his crew

This book was somewhat shorter than the previous nine books, but is a worthy read if you can't stop wondering what will happen next to the heroes. It is full of action, losing one crewmember, gaining a new one and regaining one. I have subscribed to Kindle unlimited so I can finish the series.

This is a very short quick read, comparable to the other books in this series. I will take a break and come back, hopefully it will keep me more involved at a different time

Enjoyable fantasy story. Valrin might have seemed to have lost everything. Then genie comes along and things improve. Fast moving story.

I received this book as an ARC.
As the reader follows the story of Valrin and his crew, the lives and loves lost. But are they really lost? For those who haven't read the Stormborn saga- you're truly missing out on a fantastic tale. In this book follow Vals as he encounters the one who saved him but at what price?
