Laney Sawyer used to believe in love and all of the trappings that happily ever after could provide until Ryder Capwell crushed her heart. When Laney is auctioned off as a prize at the drama department fundraiser the last person she expects to trade cold hard cash for her company is Ryder.

Ryder Capwell is in love with Laney Sawyer. One year ago she walked out of his life and took the light of his world right along with her. Ryder would do anything to have another chance with Laney, including purchasing her for the evening courtesy of Whitney Briggs University, and he does just that.

One thing leads to whiskey, which leads to a one-night stand. She thinks it’s revenge sex—he thinks its make-up sex. Things can only go wrong from here.

“I’m insanely, deliriously, outright fucking crazy in love with you..

Laney and Ryder have a past, one that ended leaving them both hurt and alone, as much as Ryder wanted to fight for her he respected her wished and stayed away, soon realizing twelve months is far too long and his desire for her hasn’t diminished one bit. Twelve months has done nothing for her anger and resentment, knowing that Ryder sits a few feet away from her sandwiched between his mother and the bitch who wishes she was in his bed permanently.
I gave her my heart— buried it deep inside her, and I never want it back..

Chance has it that Ryder won Laney during the auction, he has one chance to make things right and if he succeeds, Laney won’t be leaving his side now or ever. Laney is torn, fully aware of what his mom thinks of her, how can they ever have a future when she will always be in the way, she can’t make him choose between her and his mother.
“Let me crush every memory you have of the two of us and make something new, something better, something that never disappoints because it doesn’t know how.”

I was excited to get my hands on Winter Kisses, especially after reading 3:AM Kisses, sadly I didn’t love it as much as the first, and it’s probably me since I think I went in with high expectations. Ryder, although sexy didn’t do it for me, not willing to fight for her, doesn’t he know when a woman says stay the hell away it really means fight for me and let me know you care?!? I felt like Laney should of put on her big girl panties and fought for him too, as much as it sucks having people against your relationship, if you love the person you should fight for it. In any case, I’m looking forward to what’s coming next: Sugar Kisses(3 :AM Kisses Book 3) Roxy and Cole’s story coming early 2014. Whiskey Kisses (3: AM Kisses Book 4) Holt’s story coming 2014.

Totally sweet, swoony and smexy.

The incredibly funny inner monologues from both POV were sometimes lewd and crude but they made me laugh out loud because of it.
Once Laney left, I quickly acclimated to the swollen hand blues, and if need be, that’s the way I’ll continue to satisfy myself until I’m dead and buried. They’ll find my skeletal hand right over my long-evaporated crotch.

And even though at the beginning it felt like it was heading in a totally smexy direction, in the short time we got to know Ryder and Laney, their dirty mouths, wit and charm showcased in their hilarious banter juxtaposed with the profound emotions for each other endears them and the story to you.

It was a very very short story.
The beginning was good and I did liked Laney and Ryder but it could have all been so much
better, maybe when it was a bit longer and a few exciting things.
I liked it but it didn't pull me in and swept me of my feet..
For me it's important that I can live and feel with a book, that makes it a more fun book.
So when I go to work I can think the whole day about the book.
But this wasn't it for me. It was a good story and I would tell you go for it
maybe it's your diamond.

Winter Kisses is actually the second book in a series from Addison Moore. This novella focuses on Laney Sawyer and Ryder Capwell rekindling a relationship after a year apart. Ryder's mother didn't want them together and had done everything in her power to break the two apart.

I actually haven't read the first book in the series myself but this seemed to read fine without having read it. A few mentions of past events but most of which could just be characters giving out their back story as with any other book.

Starting off I didn't think I was going to enjoy this story just for Laney's complaints about Ryder in the first chapter. Really it didn't sound like he was all that bad for her to continue on and on about him. It really seemed to grow on me from that point though, lots of chemistry between Laney and Ryder and a better look into the behind story later on got me rooting for them in the end.

Overall, hot and steamy novella for a good quick read.

This was an easy-to-read, low angst, cutesy and sweet story with super corny sexual innuendos and lots of fairytale-like sunshine, lollipops and rainbows.

At times, I had to suspend my belief a little further just to stop from rolling my eyes but when I did; I really did enjoy this fluffy nugget of sweet goodness.

I haven't read any others in this series yet and will probably get onto it once my cavities are repaired from this sweetness, but this book can be read as a standalone as aside from the introduction of all the main characters at the beginning, I was able to get the gist of what was going on and how it all connected.

A very short and super quick read; I would totally recommend this book for anyone needing a quick sugar fix that also loves fairy tales and perfect heroes.

Told in 1st person POV with HEA/HFN.

so they just..........they just let people publish whatever the hell they want these days huh.....
at no point did i even figure out what age these characters were, what the setting really was, any type of fleshed out plot....i have read several fanfictions with better everything than this. shoutout to amazon for yet another appalling free book download....perhaps i will soon simply stare into space while waiting for my library requests to come in instead of reading drivel like this.

You can read my full review ON MY BLOG

OKAY SO WHEN DOES THE THIRD BOOK GOES FREE? I'M POOR, I'M SORRY, BUT AT THIS RATE, I MIGHT AS WELL GO AHEAD AND BUY IT RIGHT FREAKING NOW.

I LOVE ROXY, SO SORRY.

No, I'm not really sorry and you should know.

Okay, I can tell you that this is noticeably better than the first book.

AND THAT ENDDDIIIIINNNGGGG!!

And sorry, but I really don't like Baya. Nope, she's out of my superpowers.

I LOVE LANEY. I LOVE THEATRE.

But I can't say that I loved everything about it. It's more about the childish play with dirty talk. I don't know, sometimes, they're funny, sometimes, they're downright gross, and sometimes, they're just plain sorry attempts.

And maybe it's the writing, because really the writing just annoys the hell out of me at times. At least, it's not scattered everywhere this time unlike 3 AM.

But will all the sexual stuff ever recede? Even just a little bit? I hope so. It's not that pretty, you know.

And this time, I'm shipping them. Sure they sound childishly stupid and whatever, I don't really know and I can't really explain, at times but you know that they're just playing. Sometimes, all the play ain't funny though. But the big difference here with Laney and Ryder compared to Baya and Bryce is that Laney and Ryder have history. Their relationship has its base. Yes, it's not solid, but there's no relationship that starts with a rock-hard foundation. But I think Baya and Bryce are heading for the good road, and that's great. But Laney and Ryder have history, a long one.

Overall, it's really short, and I hoped we got more on the show but no we didn't. And I really like that this book is finally saying something: Don't let other people ruin what you love. And stand up for yourself. You can be good without being a doormat.

Was that just me or (if you have read this too) did you see that too?

Laney & Ryder

Laney & Ryder are each other’s first love. And they still love each other even though they have been apart for a year. Laney had to make her point with Ryder. Ryder needed to see what Laney was telling him all along about his mother and Meg.

Ryder has regretted not seeing the writing on the wall and losing the only person that ever mattered to him. Laney has been able to avoid Ryder at all costs. Laney knows that if she sees Ryder she will give in to him and she can’t. At least that is what she keeps telling herself.

Ryder and Laney’s problems are all a result of Ryder’s mom and Meg her personal assistant. Meg wants Ryder for herself and Rue despises Laney. Rue treats Laney with no respect and is very rude to her. Meg makes up problems to get Ryder to help her and take time away from Laney. Laney did not feel like she was 1st in Ryder life anymore so she ended things. Now, Laney is helping to raise money for the drama department and is being auctioned off. Ryder has made an appearance and cannot let another guy bid on Laney. Ryder bids on Laney and now they have to spend time together.

Ryder and Laney give into their feelings for one another and now must work out the 2 problems that stand to break them up again. Ryder is willing to cut his mother out of his life as long as Laney will stand by him. Roxy (Ryder’s sister) is hoping that will not happen.

While Roxy, Baya, and Bryson stand strong with Laney, Ryder has to make some decisions that will break his family into pieces. Will the couple survive the drama or will they crumble with them.

I like this story because Laney was strong to leave Ryder even though she loved him. Ryder should have went after her harder and got her back into his life sooner. The year apart makes since to make them realize that love each other and want to be together.

Anytime I pick up an Addison Moore book I just know it's going to be an amazing read, and this was no exception.

This is actually a novella length book and I read it in less than two hours. I often complain that a lot of the novellas I read aren't properly executed and there isn't enough time to really connect with the characters and truly'feel' the emotions. Addison Moore demonstrates how to perfectly pull it out of the bag with this book. Because we have caught a glimpse of Laney and Ryder previously, I already felt like I had a good insight into their characters, and the story didn't feel too short or rushed.

Ryder and Laney are the typical beautiful couple destined for a fairytale HEA, however, when we meet them they have been broken up a year (over an orchestrated misunderstanding) and it's obvious that both are still pining for the other. Laney is a scream and I love her character. Ryder finally mans up and supports her the way he should have the previous Christmas.

Great dialogue, excellent writing, and a fast-paced plot make for a killer read. While it can be read as a stand-alone, I highly recommend reading it as part of the series.

This was a nice easy read. The story of 2 once lovers, hoping to have another chance at happiness. I really liked the character Laney, she was likeable, nice. Ryder seemed like a great guy, he just wants his Laney back. A one night hook up leaves them both confused about their future. One thinks its revenge one things its make up sex. One typical thing is the one parent not approving of the boyfriend/girlfriend. This book was a little backwards. I thought Laney had the typical attitude of the guy in the relationship. Ryders mom doesn’t like Laney usually it’s the other way around. Ryders mom is a B. shes a horrible person. A parent should always just want to see their child happy over everything else.

Earlier this month, I started reading 3AM Kisses with Bryson and Baya as the frontrunners. I mentioned in my previous review that Laney intrigued me a lot, so I continued with the series and found myself liking her even more. This girl has guts!

Laney Sawyer broke up with her ex of a Roman god boyfriend Ryder Capwell when she'd had enough of his judgmental mother and slimy and clingy Meg that his mom wanted him to marry. Laney could only take so much.

But the heart could never forget the one that makes it beat, doesn't it? When Laney saw Ryder again after a year, it was just a matter of time before their memories came rushing back again. Could she still trust the man who broke her heart?

Well, this has been better than the first book and I'm quite surprised how I liked the story. This was relatively easy to read, the characters were shockingly loyal to the fault, and their second chance romance quite relatable. The story was insanely, deliriously crazy and definitely hot and steamy. I liked how they handled their parental situations, although I would have loved to explore more about their respective mommy issues. And yes,  I still want to know more about their blurry future..

So this means, I would soon be reading more of Addison Moore! Looking forward to Cole and Roxy's story soon.

It's a second chance romance, of two people that already loves each other , that made the second chance go really fast, the story line is less than a week. and the big moment doesn't seem big, I found it hard to connect with the characters. or understand the motives of the villain. ok so she likes him and she wants the best for him. I don't think it was as good as 3 am kisses or Sugar kisses.

Laney and Ryder thought they were building a future together. Until last year when Ryder screwed up and Laney decided she wasn't up to playing second fiddle to another woman-in this case two women-Ryder's mom and the girl she wants Ryder to marry, Meg.

Almost a year has gone by and Laney still misses Ryder. When he turns up with his mother at a fund raising event that she is participating in, she finds it hard not to show her feelings. Ryder ends up bidding on her and winning her company for a night, it gives both these stubborn love sick fools an excuse to reconnect.

Ryder has regretted the night he screwed up with Laney for months. He wants nothing more than to get her back but she'd made him promise to stay away from her and he didn't want to make her more upset. But now that she has to spend time with him, he isn't going to let her get away from him again.

Familiar characters from 3:AM Kisses are in this one. Baya and Bryson and Roxy who is set to move in with Cole, Baya's brother now that Baya and Bryson are moving in together. Their reactions are still over the top and this book is more of a light romantic comedy with a little bit of dram and angst thrown in.

Ms. Moore is the queen of one liners:

He eyes Ryder like a snake in the grass, slithering its long phallic member ever so close to my forbidden forest.

Ryder is sweet and loving and determined to have Laney back no matter what. He won't let his mother manipulate the situation any more nor will he put up with Meg and her ridiculous attempts at seduction. Laney was hurt and devastated when Ryder screwed up but she knows that being with him is what her heart desires most. But first, he has to pay a little for the pain he caused.

I do love Ryder. But I'll be damned it those words ever leave these lips again.

I love this series and can't wait for Cole and Roxy's story when Sugar Kisses releases early next year.

A holiday auction to benefit the theater department at Whitney Brigs U. puts Laney Sawyer back in the orbit of her ex Ryder Capwell after twelve months. Laney is still seething about how things went down between them last year, and Ryder is still pining for the girl that has his heart. But their one shot at a second chance rests on a night of alcohol and weakened inhibitions.

Can they make up for 365 days in one night?

“‘What comes next?’
‘You come next, Ryder….And if I’m lucky, I will, too.’”

Winter Kisses is a perfect holiday romance short story with two supporting characters from 3 AM Kisses. Although you don’t need to read 3AM Kisses first, if you enjoy this story, you’ll enjoy that one and vice versa.

Speaking of 3 AM Kisses, Baya and Bryson are back with some enjoyable appearances as this is a series where friendship is also key. Even with their small parts, Baya seems true to character with her sweet innocence although she is perceptive rather than naïve in this one—a nice touch to the story. Bryson’s male bonding scene with Ryder where Bryson is “packing” and doles out the “Halloween candy” is a very cute and hilarious guy scene.

As a couple, Laney and Ryder are cute together. Their banter and double entendre dialogue is adorable, and there’s plenty of steam between them.

“‘Are you propositioning me?’
‘Let’s see….I’m standing in your home—in your bedroom. You’re the one with a hard-on pointed in my direction, so logic only insists that you, Ryder Capwell, are the one who is blatantly propositioning me.’”

it’s still a fun, sweet, and sexy story with witty alternating first person POV from both Laney and Ryder, cute dialogue, lots of romance, and hot love scenes. HEA.

Note to Ryder though: Buy that couch for the next time Laney stops by the office ;-)

Hmmmm I liked it but this dudes mum has a point. Does he really want someone who will just mouth off at a party lol i mean girl come on save it for later if the hero does take over the company all they're going to remember is the crazy gf who threw a fit, justified or otherwise. Don't get me wrong heroine seems like a cool chic but come on! Like the mum said old people were present hahaha jk jk but yeah doesn't reflect well on her to go that crazy at a party! LOL IMO anyway and was there really a need to slap his mum? that was a step too far also

Addison seems to be getting some AMAZEBALLS covers for her books they like drag your a** in to read the book. Ryder being inside his mind was a damn joy, "my heart jumps into my throat. My d*** ticks in my boxes because, holy hell, there's a tiny ray of hope that suggests he might get attention from the real deal tonight, but I think we both know that's a pipe dream." He's bossy, "get in my bed," he growls it out sharp like an order." I liked this book but I wish it had been full length and I had wished that Ryder and Laney had talked more about their issues then just you know jumping in the sack (if you get my meaning here.) Meg that bi*** got what she deserved I was like 'GO LANEY, GO LANEY!' But I'm really excited about Cole and Roxy's story!

This is a super quick read and I enjoyed getting Laney and Ryder’s story. I hated how these two had been through so much and didn’t even have to but there were two people working to keep them apart. There was a huge misunderstanding between Ryder and Laney one year ago and instead of either explaining they parted ways and both have been miserable ever since. After Ryder buys Laney at her school auction one thing leads to another and these two finally fall back into each other’s arms. Ryder and Laney are perfect together. I love how Addison’s books switch to both character’s POVs so we get a glimpse at both sides of the story. I was so happy in the end when Ryder finally did the right thing by standing up for Laney. Glad these two finally get their HEA.

“The Big N.P. (naked penis) can’t wait to hook up with your Red River Valley.”
“Eww and no to the not-so-cute moniker.” She swats me over the arm with her flowers. “How about the Door of Life?”
“Too formal.”
“Grandest Canyon?”
“I think we’ve safely determined you’re more of a tight little ravine kind of a girl.” I plant a kiss over her forehead. “How about, Slice of Heaven?”
“Aww. I love that.” She tightens her grip around my waist.
“Just a few more hours, and I’ll be in paradise.”
“Me too, Ryder.” She leans her head on my shoulder, and the roses crush between us. “I’m always in paradise with you.”

Again with a novella that I wanted to be a full book. I liked this a lot more then the first book in this series. The weird humor fit better here, and it was more streamlined. I got the first 3 books in this series for free, so on to the next one soon!

Not for me. Overall an average read. I read this as a standalone. It's a quick and easy read. It wasn't anything special and barely went anywhere. The storyline was obvious. Also the smut was disappointing, the scenes and details was quickly glazed over.

I loved book one so much that I bought the second and third book. Laney was hilarious and an incredible friend to Baya in book 1. I knew that her book would be filled with dramatics especially since she's an actress. The dramatics from this book doesn't come from Laney as I thought it would but another minor character who causes issues for Laney and Ryder. Part of me wants to know their entire love story since it sounds like the two were high school sweethearts who let their families interfere with their relationship.

Their second chance romance begins at a charity auction to raise funds for the drama department at Whitney Briggs. Laney playing one of the leading roles in Les Miserables performed at the event as well as was auctioned off. The last person, Laney imagined would be there is her ex and his mother...with her personal assistant who kept butting into her relationship with Ryder. Ryder still looks as sexy as ever, just looking at the man makes her weak in the knees. In the middle of her performance, she makes eye contact with him. Luckily, she's a terrific actress and doesn't miss a step of the performance but Ryder is stuck in her head. The worst part is Ryder wins her in the auction. She's using this opportunity to get closure. One last roll with him to get him out of her system. It's the least he can do for what he did to her.

Ryder has beat himself up for the past 12 months for what happened with Laney. Every moment since she walked out on him has been miserable. She told him to stay far away from her--he did until tonight. He was surprised when his mother bid on Laney. He was fine with someone else winning her as long as the women were bidding. Once Holt Edwards placed a bid--no way was he letting that guy anywhere near his girl. Yes, she was still his. If she only gives him tonight--he'll take it and do everything possible to persuade her to take him back. He'll do everything in his power to keep her. Even if he has to do something drastic.

I think this book is more of a novella than a novel since it is a bit short and fast paced which is why I wish there were more flashback of their beginning relationship. We get to see how Laney and Ryder come back together and the lengths they each will go for the other. Both of them have grown and changed as individuals which helped cement their commitment to each other.

I adore this book and have read and re-read multiple times!!

This was fine. I gave it 3 stars because it was nothing spectacular. I was also very confused when I tried to look for this book on Goodreads because it has an entirely different name now? This was a SYKD book and on my kindle when I downloaded it, it was called “The Ex Who Stole Christmas” (I can see that being a copyright issue somewhere). Now on Goodreads it’s called “Winter Kisses”. The book follows Laney and Ryder who have broken up. Laney is a musical artist and they’re hosting an auction to raise money for her group. This is where now after 12 months she finds herself face to face with Ryder because he won her in the auction. We find out why they broke up and tbf I would have broken up with Ryder too. It’s the classic story of the mama’s boy who’s mom just can’t bare for her son to marry a woman she doesn’t approve of. There is a HEA in this story which is fine. I wish there was an epilogue of some kind telling us how they ended up but the story just ends so we’ll just have to assume they’re fine. There’s only like 2 spicy scenes in this book so I wouldn’t call this book smut personally say but it’s def an erotica? I would read the second if the author ever wrote it. I wanna see if mama’s boy ever kept his end of the deal for the relationship.
