It was good to be back in the Garden, like coming back home! Frank’s writing and world building was just as good here, if not even better than Stolen! The characters are well developed and Shaleigh is a seriously great MC! Loved her! And faeries!!!!

I have been having a rough month with books. Usually I have a ton of 4-5 stars, but lately I've been striking out. That is until I snagged a e-galley of BROKEN, the anticipated sequel to BROKEN!!
In BROKEN, we have two POV's, Shaleigh and Colin, who have been separated. Shaleigh, along with Teagan, has ended up together to seek of the Queen of the Fae and put a stop to Talek, who had had the Madness take over. On the other side of the coin, we have Colin and my favorite stone lion, Mawr, who have left the destruction of High Castle along with the evil Kiriam and Talek to the City of the Fae to retrieve Teagan and deal with Queen Mab. Both groups encounter trouble in the form of bloodthirsty plants and minotaurs. When tragedy strikes, can they find their bravery and love for one another and use it as a weapon against Kiriam? Or will evil prevail once more?
BROKEN takes you into Marlena Frank's world and gives you a gut punch. She took her unique story and made it even better than the first (I didn't think that was possible). The writing and pacing were on point. I found myself in awe (and a tad like, "please teach me your ways!") as I was reading. I didn't find myself bored or drifting off whatsoever. She brought an intensity to this volume of the series and presented itself as a solid sophomore installment.
I cannot wait for the third book!

I loved the first book of this series SO much and couldn’t wait for the second book!! When I got an advanced copy I was sooo excited!!
You know how the second book in a series can sometimes be blah compared to the first? WELL NOT THIS ONE!! IT IS FANTASTIC!!!! EVEN BETTER THAN THE FIRST BOOK!!!! The adventure had me at times on the edge of my seat!!! Teagan and Shaleigh take us through several different worlds!! And Marlena Frank creates amazing worlds in such a way that we can see them vividly, as though we are there with them!!! They run across so many exciting and crazy things!!!
Teagan has become one of my favorite characters!!! I liked him a lot in book one, and came to love him in book two!!! Shaleigh, who I also like a lot in book one, has grown so much in this book and I’ve come to really love her too!! And I still adore Mawr and Colin!!! I really enjoyed some of the very interesting characters in this book, especially Queen Mab!! The Masked King is a creepy character, that I found very cool.
All in all this is an AMAZING, EXCITING, ADVENTUROUS AND MOVING BOOK!! And I can’t imagine anyone not getting sucked in and enjoying every bit of it!!!!

Broken is the second book in the stolen series. There are aspects of the book that seem like a retelling of the Wizard of Oz, just a little twisted, and demented. This one captures your attention from the start, whereas the first book, it took a few chapters. Broken is filled with twists, betrayals, action, suspense, surprising loss, a little terror, lots of magic, strong friendships, accountability, and drama that keep you turning the pages. The third book in the series, Chosen is next, and I can hardly wait to see how Shaleigh, Mawr, Colin, Talek, and Teagan fare with the great dragon Tanwen, and if Shaleigh finally makes it home.

This second book of the Stolen series did not disappoint! The world building in this series makes the reader feel surrounded by the story and part of the adventure. The storyline is so unique and I guarantee you haven't come across characters like these. Do yourself a favor and start at the beginning because you won't want to miss a minute of this adventure.

Easy read. Haunting but enjoyable. Plot involves hardship and adventure. One problem after another. Dealing with pain mistakes brought. Mental health issues. Good read. Good worldbuilding.
Kinda need to read first in the series and ends on a cliff hanger. Cleanish. Violence and death.

This book picks up where the first one left off. This world of magic and fairies is beautifully built. It is a bit slow in some parts for me, but the adventure does pick back up. And Mawr is still my favorite character.

It was so nice to reenter the imaginative world of The Stolen Series. Broken is as good as the first book with plenty of adventure for Shaleigh to face. Author, Marlena Frank is the perfect writer to spin this fantastic tale!

The adventure continues to Shaleigh and being in the unknown land. How ever will she survive. The story continues. It is a must read follow up! I can't wait to read that last one.
