About the author

Imogen is a self-published author who started writing paranormal romance novels in 2017. Her debut novel was Dragongrove: Mated to the Dragon King, the first book in the Dragongrove series.

She lives in Colorado with her husband and two daughters. One of her favorite activities is looking at old houses, especially anything built before 1800. She fantasizes about the day she can buy a house that's old enough to definitely be haunted.

This is a sweet, slow building, character-driven story which I enjoyed reading. Petra and two other women have entered a strange and magical world through a portal. Ronan, the hero, has abilities I have never seen before and make him scary to even his own people.

While the circumstances at the start of the book seem dire for Petra, they are actually meant to protect her. The writing really opens up the characters resulting in displaying both their vulnerability and trust which made the story. There was a lot of happy time scenes but they were special too because Ronan is so worried that completely sharing himself with Petra could lead to her death.

This was an awesome book that I really enjoyed. The story and characters grabbed me from the beginning and I couldn't stop reading. I loved the characters and watching them grow together, they were well written and went well together. I found this book amazing with great word building making me feel apart of the story and watching it unfold in front of me. A definite must read for any fan and I can't wait to read more from this author!!!

I received an arc of this book via booksprout in exchange for a voluntary review with that said I enjoyed this book quite a bit it picks up right where the first left off which was awesome ronan kidnaps petra but she escapes becomes ill only to be rescued by ronan he appeared as more human like so at first she didn t know it was him but over time she figured it out and they fell in love with a few bumps in the road she reunites with her sister as well what a great story it is can t wait to see what happens next

Petra has been kidnapped and helped captive in a hole in the ground - she doesnt know who by, just that it is a smoke monster. She is worried about her sister Allie. When she finally manages to escape and runs into Ronan, she has no idea who he really is, or what he has done. What will happen when she works it out? Will he admit it to her? Loved this quick read with a hea ending!

This book focuses on Petra and Ronan. He has become someone that she relies on. She knows that he is the one that kidnapped her but he's also the one that has taken care of her. I missed the first book but this is a good enough story that I will go back and read book 1. There are some hurdles that Ronan and Petra have to overcome. All in all an amazing story I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Captive Allure is my first time reading a book by this author and I will probably read more of I come across them.

This book starts off kind of slow and a little confusing, but once you get to the meat of the story things make more sense and it becomes an enjoyable read. If you enjoy a paranormal fantasy give this book a go.

Petra has disappeared for a few weeks and her sister, Allie is freaking out. Ronan finds her and claims she is his mate. She is sick and weak. She can't sleep unless Ronan is there. She can't be very far away from him. I really liked this book. I thoroughly enjoyed the book and I loved the surprise ending. Now there is a choice to be made, stay or go back to Earth permanently. This is book number two in this awesome series that I have loved reading and can not wait to see what the author will write about next.
