I loved this humorous book of letters, written by cats to their humans, with beautiful accompanying photos! 😻

64 pages to make me smile!

I thought my cat was an angel...this book confirmed it!

If you prefer dog humor, 😾, the author also has other books to choose from...such as “Sorry, I humped your leg!”

I’ll stick to my cats!!

Thank You to Netgalley, Jeremy Greenberg, Andres McMeel Publishing, and all of the Kitties, for allowing me to read this book early!

And to Dita-who found this book!

2 stars.

This was such a disappointment. I'm a huge cat lover but other than the cover, I wasn't much of a fan. The letters from the Cats/Kittens to their owners were a bit bland and I didn't find them that funny. I did like the photos though and the little captions. Unfortunately this wasn't for me but I would pass it along because others might enjoy this.

Who, Me?

If your kitty could talk!

Sixty four pages of adorableness and cats speaking their mind regarding the silly things humans do.

Loved this and recommend to feline fur parents.

This was cute! It's a series of letters written by "cats" apologizing for the various things cats tend to do. Luckily, neither of my cats are nearly this bad! If you're a cat owner (or just a cat lover), you'll enjoy this one, and coming in at just under 70 pages you'll be able to read it super quickly!

Thanks to Netgalley and Andrews McMeel Publishing for my advanced copy of the book. It was my pleasure to provide an honest review.

The humor just didn’t work for me in the latest from the author of Sorry I Pooped in Your Shoe and Sorry I Slept on Your Face. I’ve not read any of Jeremy Greenberg’s previous books, but this sequel features another set of letters from cats to humans along with colorful kitty photos.

Reactions to humor are so personal. While this one did not amuse me, you may find it hysterical.

🌟🌟🌟 stars for the comedic try, with thanks to the author, Andrews McMeel Publishing, and NetGalley for the review copy. Opinions are mine.

I received the opportunity to review this short book by Jeremy Greenberg from NetGalley for an honest review.

This is a cute little book about cat's "apologizing" to their humans for their everyday shenanigans. The humor would have fallen flat if the pictures weren't alongside the letters. Though the written humor was not as comical as I thought it would be I would still recommend this to a die-hard cat lover or as a stocking-stuffer for the cat lady in your life. I truly did laugh a few times (Finnegan's picture was perfection) at the comical expressions caught in these photos. The laughter lifted my rating to a 3 on Goodreads scale.

I expected to be more entertained by this than I was (i.e., not at all.) It’s a book of cat photos (some of which are too dark on my e-reader, even when the brightness is adjusted to maximum) accompanied by letters from the featured cats to their owners. As the title suggests, there’s so much barfing (defecating, urinating, drooling, dropping and breaking objects, and lecturing owners about their messiness and bad habits) that it all becomes tedious very quickly . . . and decidedly un-funny. I found only one letter amusing—from a cat who’d rather use up one of his nine lives (that is, play dead) than go to the vet. Almost all the letters are overwritten. The author tries way too hard, and with a few exceptions the cats really don’t sound different from each other. The idea for the book is cute enough, but the work itself is poorly executed and the photographs are not of good quality. In fact, many look like generic calendar pictures.

Overall, a disappointing product that I can’t recommend.

Delightful series of letters from the cat with hysterical photos and captions. Made me laugh out aloud several times while reading it. Quick read that's lots of fun for all feline fanciers! Would make a great stocking stuffer,

This little book is filled with page after page of beautiful cats, and each lovely photo has a corresponding letter. These letters are quite witty, showing great insight into the minds of all kinds of felines. Author Jeremy Greenberg must have spent much time observing cats, because obviously, he has looked deep into their soulful eyes and seen the workings of their kitty brains. Filled with humor, this book is the purrfect addition to everyone’s library.

Unfortunately, we can't go to the vet at the moment because I've unexpectedly died. Yes, it's very sad. But not that sad, considering I've got nine lives and spending one on getting out of going to the vet is a worthy sacrifice.

Honestly, if you don't appreciate adorable cat pictures combined with cat humor, can we even be friends?

I think not.

Funny and sweet "Letters from the cat" accompanied by adorable and often hilarious pictures of their sweet faces. There is no bad here.

I chose this title because I'm partial to Francesco Marciuliano's cat poetry humor books and hoped this would be similar. Alas, I didn't find these letters from cats all that funny. The comedy level seems geared more toward either younger readers or grandparents. Someone else may get a kick out of this book, but it was a big meh for me.

I know what the author was trying to do, however, I was not really enthused. The cat letters to their humans were not funny in the way I wanted them to be. Someone might like this but I didn't.

Not Meow Cup of Tea

Another book that I wanted to love because my cat barfs everywhere. However, I was I a bit underwhelmed. The graphics didn't seem to have as much clarity as I would like and the kitty narratives while cute weren't anything new. The color palettes also seemed off somehow. I liked it but would reccomend as a library borrow.

Sorry I Barfed on Your Bed Again by Jeremy Greenberg is one of those read-in-the-store books. It's not really good enough to spend your money on, but it's definitely worth a couple of laughs while you're waiting for your friend to finish up their shopping. I don't know if you've ever perused one of these books--they're typically found near the gift cards in Walmart--but they can definitely be fun. That said, I don't think I'd ever consider any of them worth spending money on owning.

These books always have the same formula; using random pictures of animals--in this case, random cats--the author adds little commentaries that are supposedly from them detailing some, at times, humorous commentary about life with them. And it's definitely fun to read, I'll give that. As always, though, this isn't the sort of book you return to. Maybe it'd be fun to have them in the doctor's office while you're stuck waiting for your appointment, but definitely not in your home.

I wouldn't keep a book like this on my shelf. The amusing moments really don't last, either, since you may find yourself chuckling at something a bit while reading it the first time, but any secondary look at it proves that the joke wasn't really as funny as it first seemed. All in all, this is a good quick read while you're browsing. But the thing is you can find the same kind of funny commentaries with a quick google search or if you follow the right tumblr blog.

I love cats, but I'd hoped this would be funnier. I didn't find it that entertaining. It's okay, but not something I'd purchase for myself or as a gift. For a certain audience, maybe it would work.

Cats want you to know something. Yes, they misbehave sometimes. They do things that you may not approve of. They vomit in places you don’t want them to. But they have reasons for doing what they do, where they do it. And they’re sorry. Sort of. Some of the time. Maybe. And they would tell you, if they could.

And because they can’t, author Jeremy Greenberg has taken it upon himself to express cats through love letters and adorable photos. Luna, for example, wants you to know that she is training her voice day and night because she just knows she will be a superstar one day. And Zero uses his superior sense of smell to point out that the pile of laundry is just a big funky smell. And that maybe you should rethink the man bun.

Meshuggah wants you to know that you don’t need to worry about anything while you’re away for the weekend, as there is no longer a flowerpot to push into the fishbowl, and he probably learned his lesson about chewing through computer cords last time. He’ll just stay home and nap it out, so you needn’t be concerned at all. And Tasha is genuinely sorry that she barfed on your bed again. She tried not to. She was aiming for that ugly mohair sweater you wear all the time.

And then there’s Ovid, poor Ovid. He wants you to know that he saw you cleaning out the cat carrier, but he no longer needs it, as he has died. He has gladly sacrificed one of his nine lives not to go to the vet, so you can call the doctor and let him know the news.

These adorable cats, and many of their friends, just want a quick word to share their innermost thoughts with you, and maybe some head butts, so that you can see life from their perspective. Sorry I Barfed on Your Bed Again is an adorable look at life from feline level. Filled with warm humor and that cat cuteness that makes it so hard to get mad at them, this short gift book is a great pick-me-up for cat lovers everywhere. This is one to keep in mind for holidays, birthdays, and for any cat person going through a tough time. And meow!

Sorry I Barfed on Your Bed Again (and More Heartwarming Letters from Kitty) by Jeremy Greenberg is a collection of funny letters and heartwarming photos from cats to their person. Tess wants you to know that she intends to continue throwing up freely as long as the new baby gets to—fair is fair. Ovid would like to inform you that he’s giving up one of his nine lives in order to avoid a visit to the vet—he’ll miss you and knows you understand. And Quinn assures you that she’ll protect you from whatever it is that’s rolled under the table with all the righteous fury in her little body—even if only turns out to be a dropped olive.

Sorry I Barfed on Your Bed Again is an amusing book with short letters from felines to their humans. Cat lovers will relate to the letters, and find some humor there. Every cat owner has had at least one of these situations, if not more, in their homes. The letters are clever, with different tones depending on the cat it was attributed to. The pictures of the cats were enjoyable to look at, with some that were fairly standard pictures and others that had goofy or interesting expressions. As a whole the book was a fun diversion for a few minutes. It is not a book that I would add to my collection, but it might be a good gift for very devoted cat lovers.

**MINI-REVIEW**

The Bottom Line: I got exactly what I expected out of this book! As a neurotic human who constantly concocts conversations in her head with her pets (2 cats and a dog!) I can get behind the purpose and premise of this book and series. Greenberg has taken those neurotic conversations and applied them to pictures of real animals and their stories. As you should expect, there are some laugh out loud moments and some “OH! YIKES!” moments, but in all, the book is just entertaining.

Highlights include:

Letter from Ovid: “ . . . . unfortunately we can’t got to the vet at the moment because I have unexpectedly died. . . . . Please call the vet and tell her the bad news. Let her know the cause of death is hating the kitten-print scrubs her assistants wear.”

Letter from Zero: “How do you expect to get a girlfriend if your apartment smells worse than a cat? As a rule, your butt should never be dirtier than mine.”

Letter from Morgan: “ . . .the thing that makes you cry every time you stand on it seems to think I’ve gained a pound.”

Letter from Meshuggah: “ . . . I bet you never thought you’d get the opportunity to use your fire insurance.”

Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for my digital copy in exchange for an honest review.

This was a book I requested because of the title alone. That part made me laugh out loud as I have had so many cats that have actually thrown up on my bed...sometimes while I was in it. I was pleasantly surprised with all of the amazing photos of cats. This is a book of letters that cats have written to their owners and they all made me chuckle at the very least. I had cats growing up (until about 6 years ago, actually) and I thought I had seen it all. I can see that many people did not like this one as much as I did and that's okay...what a person finds funny is a very personal thing. I might love it but the next person can't stand it...and so on. Please don't let any bad reviews sway you. If you are a cat lover and you grew up with cats, you will most likely love this book. It was a very light hearted read and it goes by quickly. It would also make a great gift for any cat lovers in your life.

OMG OMG OMG 10+ stars !!!

For sure the FUNNIEST thing I've ever read!!!

I LOVE cats! I have 3 (4 before, RIP my angel Grizly 2012 - 2013).

I can totally see my cats thinking those things!
I always wonder what they're thinking and if they even care lol or if they do things on purpose... like I'm sure they're thinking "sorry I did that... and you know I will do it again..."

Really amazing! Funny and with beautiful photos!

If you're in a bad mood or angry or upset... just open this book and you'll feel better!

For any cat lover! Perfect gift.

ARC received through NetGalley. This is my honest review. All opinions are my own.

This was my first Jeremy Greenberg book, so I can’t compare it to the others in this series. However, some of the letters in this collection were quite amusing, and others were a little meh. The photographs were sent in by cat owners and ranged from lovely to average, but all of them reflected an adoration for their feline pals.

Just for the record, it feels a little cynical to have a book for cat lovers printed in China, considering the abysmal treatment of them there.

I was given a free copy of Sorry I Barfed on Your Bed Again, but that did not affect my review. I can’t say the same for the printing situation.

Purrtastic! 5 paws up ! This is a wonderful book for all of us cat lovers. The author has written humorous letters from cats to their owners on a variety of subjects. I loved the accompanying photos of the cats and the letters are laugh out loud funny. This is such a fun book that it is a "purrfect" gift for your cat loving friends and family. A funny interesting loving look at our cats and their daily wants and needs from a place of humor and fun.

Filled with irresistible photos and funny comments, it is a purrfect gift for the cat lover or for yourself. My humans chuckled and moaned how true much of it was.

Cat lovers will enjoy Sorry I Barfed on Your Bed Again. It is full of letters from cats ... some letters seem sincere and some not so much.

Accompanying the letters are full-colour pictures of the cats who "wrote" the letters.

It's a cute book and quick read.
