2.5 ⭐️ Currently DNF for me, kept trying to push through but have put it down for now.
I’m not sure how to review this. I wasn’t sure on the first book, as I struggled to click with Isa but persisted and thought I’d try the second book. Her personality still feels a little too much ego and not that equal. She commands the guys a lot... “Come” and they obey. No please...thank you or asking nicely, it just comes across as a little too rude at times for me. I get that she’s a protector, so has instinct to protect people. But she ends up making decisions for them and being pushy.
The sex scenes, while great in parts, were rushed in that they all jumped in quickly. Mainly felt like quickies and when considering it’s supposed to strengthen their connection, other than being connected physically it didn’t come across as intimate.
The scene I read up to was where Tiran joined the harem, which meant group sex. A lot felt a contradiction, she wanted them all to be loved equally, but they had to know their place, they had freedom, but to do as she commanded, she wanted to claim Tiran as hers, but then she would give him a choice.
As I said in my review on the last book, I LOVE the authors imagination in creating the world. Great concept, different too which I really liked. The story so far is really interesting, however 3/4 in on this book and it’s mainly been on their relationship and not much about the dark world yet.
I’m hoping I’ll get round to finishing the series, but at the moment it’s not for me.

Wow! There were so many twists and turns, just when I would think I had some stuff figured out BOOM! It was the best kind of boom though! I loved getting to read more of Isa and her guys and need more soon! I really like how everybody compliments each other and brings different qualities to the group as a whole. I kind of the love the new addition as well! This was a great second book and I can't wait for more to come. The end will have you gasping and trying to figure out what just happened!

Smex? Yes. Smut? Yes, lots and okay. MM during group fun, and MMFMMM
Multiple POVs
Found and chosen family

I'm fatigued after binging the audiobook. It's a good, easy read, a little dark with action, magic, and simple fantasy. The simple writing style which pretty much explains the story instead of painting a image and allowing you to draw more conclusions and use your imagination does take away from the fantasy part, which why I call it simple fantasy.

The banter is good, as well as the dynamic in the group. Wish I had known more about the Kings, it would have added to their relationship and MM scenes.
I am left with unanswered questions. Like what happened to T, who put him there... seemed like an important part of the story only to have no real explanation....
Anyway, I would recommend the series. It's not fantastic, but it does build, and it has its moments.

Maybe a little rushed...

I love this story so your probably wondering why the 3 stars then. Well, the sex scenes actually... and the relationships in general. They felt rushed. Be warned there is some spoilers ahead.........

Why the sudden MM action? Dont get me wrong its hot but bam outta no where. Bo build up between the guys even.

Lots of gang bang type sex. Not a lot of variety kinda just always group sex. There are to few scenes when it's just her and one guy or her and two guys.

Thats my only complaint. The story, writing, editing, and characters are amazing. I will still read the next book 4 sure

Okay, this second book was a little disappointing because there were too many slow moments and it took the author to long to get the momentum going for me to thoroughly enjoy it.

Also, this book left off on a damn cliffhanger I guess I'll be waiting for book 3 to get some type of resolution to a lot of unanswered questions. This just blows!!!!

Overall rating:
3* ~ It was okay

DNF@74%. FMC turned into a real b*tch in this book. Showing behaviour which she despises in others ("don't you know who I am?" And then expecting respect, obedience or fear in return). The kings were demoted to her sex toys, as not a shred of their intelligence or personality remained besides their sexual prowess. Such a shame.

This is the second book in the full blood series and it was just as good if not better than the first book. Isadora secret is out and everyone now no’s who she is and that she is the last full blood witch from the savill royal family. She now needs to go to the dark world to save her friend Astra and bring her home. But before she goes she needs to bond with her four men to make the bond stronger and wow they are hot and steamy when they all bond. They go to the dark world and once there Isa finds out that she also has to kill the queen of the dark world as well as bring Astra home.we get to learn a lot more about Tiran and get to here his story and yeh he is one of ISA bonded and wow when they bond. I love all the characters and the hot steamy scenes with them all Serena nova is an amazing author and I just love this story and can’t wait to find out what happens especially to Tiran I absolutely love his character and the way they have final except him into the family but what is going to happen next with him bring on the next book

I know this author is Dutch, so maybe it’s her translator that needs to be fired? The story premise, as I said with the last book, is a good one. The writing just needs to be improved. It felt like something a teenager would write. There is absolutely nothing wrong with that other than it comes across as immature.

This book gets 2 stars because it is in desperate need of a copy editor in addition to the actual writing improvement. If she does a rewrite in the future, I will definitely give it a read.

Also, is it just me or did anyone else have to read some of those steamy scenes more than once to understand what exactly was happening? 🙈

I gave book 1 five stars! But now I DNF’ed book 2 at just 20% into it. I could NOT get into it. Not even sure why. The 20% that I read seemed rather boring. (shrug) There’s too many good books in the world for me to spend too long on a book that has me struggling.

Ok, so I did like this one better than the first. Some issues fixed themselves. Some were not so in your face. There were things that I also really liked in this novel.

In most reverse harem/why choose novels, it is always about the female lead only. In this novel, it is a true relationship between them all. The male leads enjoy each other, but it is always together. There are no individual hook ups off screen since the first book when our heroine traded in her v-card. Althoigh they are all committed to her, it doesn't threaten their masculinity to be with each other also, and I think this is fantastic. This is really the first rh book that is not specifically a menage book I have seen this in. I think it puts them more on equal footing. Relationships are so much better with equals instead of worshippers, I think.

Our heroine seems more mature in this second novel. The farther we went into the novel, the less I thought she was going to stick her tongue out at someone and call them names.

Astra was with the group less. Also, the Isadora has now bonded with all five of them and she had to work for the fifth. This left less time for her to tell us how perfect her sister is and how everyone should love her.

I listened to the audio version of this, and the editing issues I had with the first book were not in this one.

All in all, I liked this one a lot more than the first. I'll be listening to the third and final book soon and I hope it continues to improve. With Astra back, I don't know how it will play into the story, especially now that Isadora has bonded with her also. I almost eyerolled at that. Ok, so maybe I eyerolled a little.

I absolutely loved the first book, but this one was even better. I am struggling for words, as the story drew me in and kept me hostage. I loved it immensely. I loved everything about it, the story, the characters, the idea, it is all so well thought out to the tiniest detail.
The story is incredibly fast paced, so much action, so full of emotion, so much happens, so much magic, and there is so much mystery involved. Not to mention the incredible level of hotness. Wow, just wow!
The author's ideas are so incredible, so interesting, so plausible, so fantastic, so detailed, so well developed, and I could keep going on and on how much I love it. Everything makes sense in every possible way.
The world expands to another realm, the characters' interpersonal relationships develop further, the characters grow and evolve, and their journeys are incredibly interesting. And although most of those happen together, there are parts that highlight certain characters and their personal struggles.
I can honestly say that I loved this book so much I didn't want it to end and I dived into the next one immediately. What a fantastic series this is! I love the author even more.
The books should be read in order, Protector, Saviour, Queen.

I am thoroughly surprised how much I love these books! And I feel like I need to defend them in light of these bad reviews. I think this series can absolutely fall into the tropes of the genre but it balances action, fantasy and steamy romance very well for a romance novel (hell, even for an adult fantasy series) but I had so much fun reading them! The characters are interesting and mostly relatable. Are they super flushed out? No, this isn't that long of a book. What I really liked about this book in particular, and what makes it stand out from other RH romance stories is that the relationship is totally QUEER! These super hot men are also attracted to eachother as well as the main character! I haven't read that before and it made the dynamic was less awkward to me. Like how is no one getting jealous? Because they are all making out with eachother!! This means there is a lot of group sex, but like consentual orgy sex not violent gangbang style (as someone else described it). It's cute, it's hot, it's a good freakin time! If you are interested in a polyamorous romantic fantasy I highly suggest this series! Yay representation (though we could always use more of it!)

I gave up

Despite I wasn't convince at all by the first volume, I persevered and read the second but I gave up in the middle.
I'm not involved at all. Isadora has a bratty side I dislike.
No originalty in the plot, it's the "let's throw ourself in the lion's den to save my super BFF". Too easy and in this case it sounds even childish.
A comment about the hot sex scene between Isa and her guys. I really didn't understand why suddenly there are M/M sex? Don't misunderstand me, I found it pretty hot but the author has never suggested such a bound between the guys, so why??? It doesn't make sense in the story.

This was so bad. Please don’t read it.
Well if you like a lot of seggs and just want a little bit of story please do, but what?? This series had so much potential and then the story just became so contradicting several times and there were so many chapters of sex and it was repetitive and I don’t even remember the different characters affinities because the guys just became generic except for tiron. And What? Help!
I’m frustrated because there is such a good base for these books, the world building the characters the everything, but it all just falls apart the more you read instead of it being the other way around. Could’ve been a 5 but resulted in a two.

Wow what a book!!!

Absolutely loved this second installment! Lots and of steamy scenes for sure. The way the author writes is just beautiful! It really draws you into the scenes! What a cliffhanger at the end! I’m just hoping it’s not some crazy thing where their world moves faster than the dark world. Can’t wait for the next book! I’m dying to find out what has happened while Isadora and her men have been away!!!

This is the second book but not does everything ramp up. We get to go into the portal and discover that there is more to the story than we think. I loved how Isadora comes into herself and accepts herself as queen. Her men are perfect and I loved how they really support her and not stand there looking pretty. The big show down at the ending has everything you could ask for, even the heart stopping moments. I can't wait to see what awaits Isadora and her men in the final book!

I have submitted this review after listening to the audiobook of this title within the series set box. (Audible Membership)
So we go through the gate to the Dark World to rescue the sister that had been kidnapped.
What they find in that purple world was both wondrous and terrifying.
She found her fifth natural mate as well as her mother, a woman who no longer resembled the woman who had given birth to her.
Their mission had changed, and they now had two worlds to save.

Was disappointed in book 2.

I was expecting more action, more of something but i mostly got sex scenes and how the MC is constantly turned on and horny.

It still a good story and all but i got tired of all the sex and stuff that kept coming in every goddamn chapter

Holy heck!

I...am at a loss for words. That ending! And the pain, the love, the happiness... I laughed and I cried - i mean I wanna blame it on aunt flow, but Serena’s writing really did it. I need book three. I need to know wtf is going on?!

The End?

So. This felt like an end. But it wasn’t. It made absolutely no sense. Everything felt rushed. I don’t quite understand how we can bolt through the last chapter or so after a long, anticlimactic first part of the book.

Kind of bummed with book two. Loved the steamy scenes and fair warning there is some MM scenes. I found myself skipping chapters near the end because the buildup before the battle was killing me. Story also ends on a cliffhanger.

First book was much better

The first book had a lot more plot and was much better. This one was 75 percent sex and 25 percent plot. I felt that those numbers should’ve been reversed.

Unsure if I will read the next one. A good story is buried/hiding in here

I really like the idea of the story and it has so much potential. It is obvious that certain things happen in the book just to move it forward and the main character... IDK.. I really liked the first few chapters in book one, but the main character got worse as it the story went on.
