Club Zodiac #8

Taming Rex

Rate this book
It’s supposed to be a temporary job in a temporary city with a temporary coworker…

Erica is a genius. She already has her master’s degree and has landed her first job. She knows she’s a misfit, but it would seem her new coworker is an even bigger nerd. The only time she can let loose is at the local club, Zodiac. A place where all her fantasies are indulged.

Rex doesn’t work well with others. How is it possible that the fidgeting, nervous woman sent to work with him is also utterly intriguing? As if he doesn’t have enough issues, his heart nearly stops when he sees her at his favorite club with another man.

Dayton hasn’t felt a connection like the one he has with Erica in a long time. He doesn’t care what her quirks are. He likes her. And the chemistry between them is nearly perfect.

Erica’s motto is work hard, play hard. If two men want to fight over her, she’s not going to stop them. But she’s certainly never been in a predicament like this before. She thought she could juggle a full social calendar. But it’s exhausting entertaining two men, and they’re behaving like Neanderthals. They need to compromise or take a hike. She does not have time for nonsense…

I loved Rex in 'Sharing Charlotte', but it's time for him to spread his wings and find someone of his own. He isn't exactly looking but he figures he'll know when he finds her.

On a temporary assignment in Florida, Rex is a little more than annoyed that his bosses have partnered him with a newbie.

Erika was excited to be on this temporary assignment in Florida, it's her first job and she's driven to do well. She's also planning on playing hard at Club Zodiac, the only time she truly relaxes is in the Club setting submitting to a Dom who indulges all her fantasies.

Rex has already obtained a membership at Club Zodiac and he gets the surprise of his life on his first visit. He should have left as soon as he recognized Erika but he stayed but left as the scene turned sexual.

The next thing we know we have two Doms wanting Erika who doesn't want to choose.

I absolutely loved every exchange, every nuance, and the OMG moment I never saw coming!

Plenty of Kindle melting heat, laughter, and so much more as these three learn about each other.

I can't wait to read the next book in this series!

Hot, hot, hot. I did not put this book down... seriously I MAY have gotten 2 hours of sleep because it was just that good. Picture two co workers... one stumbles upon another in a BDSM club... completely changes way he views her. Erica needs to relieve her pent up stress, to let loose in the one way that helps... submitting. New to town but trusting of Club Zodiac's owners to choose a Dom for the night. Hot scene...co worker sees... see where this is going? No? Confrontation the next day... AWKWARD. Follow up with Erica and Rex sceaning together. How is a woman to choose between the first Dom, Dayton, and her co worker, Rex? She doesn't. This book takes her on a journey that opens her up to a world that she never imagined for herself, two hot Doms both wanting her. Both Rex and Dayton want her for himself, but didn't anyone ever tell these two that you don't always get exactly what you want? I can tell you there is an HEA. The journey to get there is a rollercoaster. How do they get to that HEA without everything imploding?

“Taming Rex,” the eighth book in the Club Zodiac series, was such a great read. Becca Jameson did it again in my book for once I started I could not put it down until I was finished, I was hooked from the very beginning. Especially with everyone’s reactions to each other. Rex works alone at least until he was put on a job with a partner. That partner being Erica. The first week working with each other Erica has her quarks and Rex was being kind of a jerk for he’s a Dom and didn’t know if Erica was submissive, even though she shows submissive qualities. He felt this until he saw her submitting with another Dom at Club Zodiac. The other Dom being Dayton. When he first saw Erica feelings occurred that he never had with any other sub when he was Dominating them. This was such a great read that I recommended this book.

I was given an advanced reader copy of this book for my honest review.

Rex usually works from home unless he’s on site, and always alone. Well his boss tells him he has to take on a partner for this project and Rex replied do I look like someone who plays nicely with others? No ones ever accused you of playing nicely Rex, but if the customer wants two on this and is willing to pay, thats what they get. Well who did you pair me up with? At least prepare me.
New hire. You’ve never met her. This time Rex groaned outwardly. Rex is into BDSM and hasn’t had the time to go, thankfully they have a club Zodiac in Miami where the job is. Maybe Rex can find his own submissive there. This is The Very Basic Beginning to a wonderfully delightful experience between two men and a woman. I loved this and I could not stop reading until the end. I was given this and I voluntarily leave this review.

Like all the other books in the series, this is completely standalone, but does feature Rex, who was also a part of the previous Club Zodiac book, Sharing Charlotte. Rex has been sent to work in Florida, where he's working with Erica, who, on a visit to Club Zodiac, he discovers is submissive to his Dominant. Unfortunately, Erica also meets Dayton. This story follows the 3 of them from initial meeting, with both Rex & Dayton trying to win Erica away from the other, to the ultimate ending. This is a wonderful story where I just fell in love with all of the characters - Nerdy Guy Rex, Older Guy Dayton, & the submissive at the centre of the story, Erica. The relationship/s didn't exactly follow as I thought they would, but there was so much emotion & heart in this book that I just loved it.

A spicy and emotional romance. 💞❤️🥰💞

Rex was finally ready to look for his next sub when he discovered that his new colleague, Erica, was perfect for him. Well, she would be if she hadn't met Dayton, one of the other Dom's at club Zodiac. Having just come out of a relationship that shared, he didn't want to share this time. But since that was the only way he could have Erica, he was willing to try it. But who could've guessed at how this one would work out? 💗🔥💕

As with all the books in this series, it deals with the BDSM lifestyle and it's many, many variations so if that's not for you, don't read this book. 😉💖

I received a free copy of this book via the Bookfunnel and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Erica journey from a self described fidgety, socially awkward nerd to an empowered confident woman is quite remarkable. . Dayton is a well established businessman and Dom. From the first he sees and scenes with Erica, he's hooked. There's something about this woman that speaks to him. Rex is Erica's intellectual, geeky nerd counterpart at work. He's also a no nonsense Dom who's highly competitive both in and out of the bedroom. He scenes with her too and seeks to stake his claim.

Erica is torn between these two men. For the first time in her life she feels sexy, desired and cherished as she dates them Why should she choose when she can have the best of both? The ground rules are set so it's game on!

Don't get involved with people you work with. Words to live by, except if you're Rex and Erica is there being dominated in your club. You want her. You want her bad. You get her the next night. One night is not enough. But, Erica loves the attention she is getting from Dayton and Rex. She doesn't want to choose. And, what's this? Dayton is looking at Dom Rex funny.

I just love, every single minute I spend with Ms. Jameson's Club Zodiac characters! Can't wait for more!

I received an advanced reader copy, and this is my honest and voluntary review.

A Sexy and Steamy Story .
I volunteered to read and review an advanced readers copy of Taming Rex . I really enjoyed reading this story . Rex and Dalton are both attracted and intrigued by Erica . Rex and Erica are both computer hackers for the good . Dalton owns his own Landscaping company . They all are members of Club Zodiac a BDSM Sex club .
Erica is attracted to both Dalton and Rex as time goes by she soon realizes as do they . Why does she need to choose one when they can all be together . While not conventional it works for them . They soon all fall in love . It may not work out as Rex and Erica jobs are temporary . This is a fantastic BDSM Sexy and steamy story .

Holy hotness! Taming Rex was everything I had hoped it would be and more! I loved his character in Sharing Charlotte and I was so hoping he would find his own happiness (which he did)!
It was fate that Erica ended up being temporarily assigned to work with Rex. The added bonus of chemistry and attraction was fun to read. When Erica met Dayton at Club Zodiac, I knew there would be drama.

As with all of Becca Jameson’s books, the characters are well developed and the storyline is believable – not to mention hot and spicy! I don’t want to spoil the end but will just say – they get their happily-ever-after.

G*d damn it!

Totally pissed off over here. First it was bad enough to realize that there were 2 books regarding Rex (automatically downloaded prior). Then you totally shredded him. Strong Male dominant to a bi-sexual switch? Not a damn thing wrong with being bisexual and/or a switch - so why the dramatic change? Out of nowhere? Over 2 books and he went from Confident to Sheepish. Unreal considering books 1 - 6 were really good. Book 7 started the downfall and 8 wasn't better. I hope the finale with book 9 makes up for it.

Another great addition to the series. The author does a fantastic job building the story , bringing strong well developed characters and describes them perfectly. She brings the story to life with her vividly detailed scenes and keeps you reading to the end with all the action, twists, turns and emotions flowing throughout. I loved this book and am looking forward to the next one. Highly recommend.

Club Zodiac is one of the first series I read from Becca Jameson and it keeps getting better. I love the authors writing style and the way she gets into so many aspects of the BDSM lifestyle. I was definitely not expecting the ending of this, but it definitely worked for these three. Erica, Rex, and Dayton, are perfect together.

Taming Rex by Becca Jameson is a triad romance. Erica, Rex and Dayton's story is a fairly quick read. Their story is loaded with drama, humor and spice. Hot spice! I enjoyed this book. Taming Rex is book 8 of the Club Zodiac Series but can be read as a standalone. This is a complete story, not a cliffhanger.

I read a print copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Dynamics can lead to pleasure if you let it.

Rex has been transferred recently to Miami. Imagine his surprise when he sees his geeky co-worker in his fetish club. First he is jealous of the Dom she's with but by the end of the book dynamics change a lot.

I thought this book did a good job of developing characters and would not have minded the book being a little longer to go more in depth.
