These stories are uninspired and derivative. There is nothing interesting or unique. Even the most casual fan of the genre will have heard variations of these stories and the author does very little to make them his own. The author lacks the skill to craft actual characters in the limited space provided by such short stories.. The settings and plots are also poorly developed because of the space limitations. The language use is limited and lacks any flair or skill. With all of this absent, the author fails to build tension in any story. The book seems to go through the motions to give well known horror tropes scrubbed free from any flavor.
All around a substandard experience, however if you are a devotee of the genre and need a quick fix this book isn't a total waste of time. There are far, far better options for your attention, but this is still far from the worst you could choose.
I am a fan of GOOD horror stories, but they cannot be all depressing as these stories are. I should have known better after reading the first collection. I get the feeling that the author is very unhappy with her life.
I read the previous book and I feel like this one was more cliffhanger murders. This book seemed to lean towards the sad short story side versus the scary side. Still enjoyable to quickly read and pass the time, but it felt like I read it quicker than the first book.
Twenty more dark and scary short stories book 2in the series by A. A. Wray as with book one there are good 👍 ones and others not so good. I would recommend this novel to readers of fantasy. Enjoy the adventure of reading 👓 🎶 listening to 👍 novels 🔰🏡😠 2022
If you want quick and different stories in 1 book then this is the book for you. I loved the fact I could get to the end of a story before I fell asleep.
This book was just not good. Grammer and sentence structure were very bad. This could really use a good editor, heck even a not very good editor would help!
