Why did I read the second one when I didn’t even like the first one?

I don’t know, but this one isn’t any better.

Insipid stories, poorly written

This book isn't terrible, but isn't good.

These stories are uninspired and derivative. There is nothing interesting or unique. Even the most casual fan of the genre will have heard variations of these stories and the author does very little to make them his own. The author lacks the skill to craft actual characters in the limited space provided by such short stories.. The settings and plots are also poorly developed because of the space limitations. The language use is limited and lacks any flair or skill. With all of this absent, the author fails to build tension in any story. The book seems to go through the motions to give well known horror tropes scrubbed free from any flavor.

All around a substandard experience, however if you are a devotee of the genre and need a quick fix this book isn't a total waste of time. There are far, far better options for your attention, but this is still far from the worst you could choose.

Sad is an understatement

I am a fan of GOOD horror stories, but they cannot be all depressing as these stories are. I should have known better after reading the first collection.
I get the feeling that the author is very unhappy with her life.

Quicker than the first one

I read the previous book and I feel like this one was more cliffhanger murders. This book seemed to lean towards the sad short story side versus the scary side. Still enjoyable to quickly read and pass the time, but it felt like I read it quicker than the first book.

Great continuation.

This was just as great of a collection as the first. It was a nice group of short, creepy tales.

If you want quick and different stories in 1 book then this is the book for you. I loved the fact I could get to the end of a story before I fell asleep.

Disturbingly sad

I usually really enjoy the Horror genre...however, some of these stories are really , really sad and even horrible rather than horror.

This book was just not good. Grammer and sentence structure were very bad. This could really use a good editor, heck even a not very good editor would help!
