Introduced to a lot of interesting films, but wow she loves Freudian analysis way too much. Painfully out of date in terms of feminist theory.

A fine collection of now-classic essays exploring women in and on film revealing both an impressive grasp of the (not changed as much as we'd like to think) structure of the film industry and some superb examples of close reading and textual analysis.
