"Madame Bovary" is master of French literature Gustave It is Flauberts most famous work. Flauber was engaged in a restless struggle with language to express human emotions and actions more clearly. Even simple sentences have undergone many revisions, and each one of the sentences was read aloud, bringing music and beauty to the language. I did not mind rewriting the manuscript until it was perfect, and I spent more than five years writing a book.
"Madam Bovari" does not reveal the fictional elements that can be seen in any big event or other works. The author, Flaubert, also described this work as "a book that says almost nothing." Flauber depicts the emotional changes of the characters and the entanglement of their emotions through a detailed description, revealing everything in reality naked through the trivial activities of the day. In addition, as it can be seen from the subtitle of rural customs of the work, it expresses the appearance of the French rural village in the 19th century and expresses the closeness and hypocrisy of the society.

Very slowly and boring. Not intresting, I finish but almost died. 😱 emma has psychological problems 😒

Took me a long time to read this one, maybe that’s because it feels like there’s no arc to the characters. Emma is just a bored married woman looking for an utopian love that’s overly romantic and rather excessive and obsessive. It doesn’t seem like she ever comes to a true understanding of herself so it feels like no matter the page she’ll be forever looping between feeling really good about herself and her pursuit at the moment or extremely depressed at the world( and herself). Her sense of superiority and intent on perpetuating passion states is ultimately her doom.
