Join Bestselling Author Michael A. Singer for an Audio Deep Dive into What It Takes to Live a Full and Satisfying Life
"What does it really mean to live a spiritual life? What does it mean to use every single moment of every single second of every single bit of your life to let go of yourself?" asks Michael A. Singer. In 2007, Singer examined these fundamental questions in detail in The Untethered Soul, a #1 New York Times bestselling guide to living a spiritually fulfilled life. Now, with The Untethered Soul Lecture Series, Vol. 1, you can join this renowned spiritual explorer as he illuminates and expands upon the book's themes in greater detail.
In the first of a series of audio programs, Singer discusses how the experience of reading The Untethered Soul mirrors the spiritual path itself. He then describes how the book takes you through each stage of the journey--from the excitement of awakening, to the challenge of deep inner growth, and, finally, to the experience of inner freedom.
Meant as both an expansion on and companion to Singer's written teachings, The Untethered Soul Lecture Series, Vol. 1 will show you how to always live in alignment with your highest and most deeply held truths.
Michael A. Singer is the author of the highly successful The Untethered Soul, which has also been published in Turkey, Brazil (in Portuguese), Switzerland (in German), Spain, Japan, China, the Netherlands, Denmark, Finland, Poland, and Italy.
Singer received a master's degree in economics from the University of Florida in 1971. During his doctoral work, he had a deep inner awakening and went into seclusion to focus on yoga and meditation. In 1975, he founded Temple of the Universe, a now long-established yoga and meditation center where people of any religion or set of beliefs can come together to experience inner peace. Through the years, Singer has made major contributions in the areas of business, the arts, education, healthcare, and environmental protection. He previously authored two books on the integration of Eastern and Western philosophy: The Search for Truth and Three Essays on Universal Law: Karma, Will and Love.
Simply put Mr Singer takes the reader on a deeper dive into his seminal work, ‘The Untethered Soul.’ I was skeptical in that he has milked the book for extensive follow on editions and that is often a failed experiment. This is a wonderful and highly informative retelling of the original work with extraordinary examples for crystal clear understanding of the ideas. Not to be missed if you want to live a much more fulfilling and productive life.
I’m sure there’s good stuff in here but I’m afraid I couldn’t take all the insane laughter - had he done a couple of grammes of cocaine prior to recording this? Laughing Bill Hicock!! It was painful to listen to. First Audible book I’ve returned in years.
I'm getting so much out of listening to this series! I see it sneaking into my day effortlessly, and loving that this is finally the time to bring in this info. (I've been hearing about it for years)
The lectures are full of so many good reminders, perspective shifts, and ways you can live a simpler life right now. And “simpler” as it relates to cutting out all the drama and excessive problems we create for ourselves via our good ol’ mind 🧠
The main premise of these lectures is to dig further into how the mind operates and is the source of all our self-proclaimed problems in life.
This is such a good companion to The Untethered Soul and it’s a deeper + more advanced set of teachings. The lectures are really easy to listen to and if you even begin to contemplate living out any of the things he teaches, your Ego is sure to squirm about and feel very uneasy. I’ll definitely be listening to this again.
Its been half a decade since I discovered Singer and while listening to this I was just in shock by how much his teachings still resonate with me.
With him, theres no fluff, just Truth.
There are so few books I dole out 5 stars to but with this, I knew early on it was teeing up to be a great one and it did NOT disappoint. Singer provides a great delivery, and even better content. Words can’t do it justice ✨
I just can't help but imagine how easy it would be for a child to live out these teachings. Long before they get stuck in their ways, close off their mind and lose their zest for life like so many adults do.
I mean (with kids) you've got:
Open Mindedness Willingness to Learn Persistance Curiosity Resilience Optimism Enthusiasm Cooperation Adaptable Helpful
They'd be well equipped to carryout these teachings and help out all their friends 👩🏼🤝👨🏾 along the way.
Another book that I've read multiple times. Every time I read it (or listen to it on Audible) I hear something different. I can only describe it as building on itself. Maybe it is that I understand a little bit more with each re-reading. It is one of my life changing books! Simple concepts with a completely fresh and deep perspective. Read on!
