A touching yuri series about two girls falling in love in the Japanese countryside.
On the first day of high school, Koharu is struck speechless at the sight of the beautiful new transfer student, Mafuyu. It turns out that Mafuyu and Koharu have a deep connection, one going all the way back to their childhood. As the two friends reconnect, their feelings start to grow into love. This sweet love story that first gained popularity on Pixiv is now a series!
Ahh my heart! This was so cuteeee. It kinda felt more like a slice of life school manga than anything else but it was really sweet and I enjoyed it a lot
2020 is year of many firsts for my manga reading. This third volume of "Tsurezure Biyori" (Wonderful Days) marks the first yuri manga I've finished.
The third volume maintains the relaxing pace, but it also includes two flashback chapters to give the relationships between the four main girls more context. Especially for Koharu, whose own dream sequence gave her the courage to define her relationship with Mafuyu.
This manga may not be for everybody because it can be so slow, but the relaxing pace can actually be soothing.
This was great, but it's a shame it's over already. The art was great, the countryside slice of life was beautiful and the characters are all charmers. I could have read so much more of this, but I'm happy the author resolves the primary couple in the end. I definitely could have gone for more depth, especially having just finished Bloom Into You, but I very much enjoyed my time here anyway.
I would have gladly waited for & read another 9 - 12 volumes (or more!) Of this manga. Why is it that all the really sweet, really adorable yuri manga are so short? Art, great. Dialogue, fantastic. Characters, likeable, loveable, adorable, & admirable.
Cute series, but lacking direction. Literal slice of life with how it jumps around. There's nothing really central that connects all the chapters other than the characters being in it.
I finished the last volume in a day. This whole series felt like a warm hug, just really sweet and cute, cozy slice of life. Though when I bought the volumes year ago (finally got to finishing haha) I thought they were romance. All these years, i thought this would be a romance, I think I filed it with my romance comics too. It is… sorta? It’s more in the background, like a bonus element. And how the romance wraps up here… very odd. Because alot of the volume is SOL so I was thinking “are they even gonna show the romance arc?” They do. But it’s wrapped up very quickly, cute ig? But like idk… I guess the manga is SOL at the end of the day. It just kinda feels like ti wanted to be more than that. With an actual story. This def needed another volume! In fact it seems like the author wanted to do more, the bonus chapter is making fun of how the two teacher side characters barely appear in this issue. So it seems like the author was passionate about the characters. I will say I did like the cast a lot, which is why I was sad to see them go. Idk the series kinda just ends… so the romance arc concludes, and then there’s a chapter with the girls goofing around IMMEADILTY after which has very little to do with what just happened. The mini chapter which mentions the romance feels idk… really akward and quick. SPOILERS!!!
It’s like oh… you’re girls and in love???? Huh??? Okay nvm that’s cool actually. Also it does interest me that the line between friendship and romance seems so blurred here. Something that I wish was fleshed out more. Minori and I’m sorry I’m blanking on her name share a very close bond and the leads seem confused that they aren’t dating. I just thought that was interesting. Idk cuz everything has to be romantic these days. Don’t get me wrong I love romance, but I thought it was interesting that the two supporting characters had a very close relationship without it being romantic (or maybe it was supposed to be idk?).
NO MORE SPOILERS My main problems come from this not feeling like a final volume. Idk what happened behind the scenes but it felt like the author was making these and suddenly realized they only had two chapters left. I mean it ends during summer break that usually feels like the middle section for school manga. Anyways yeah very cute and sweet volume, I think the second volume was best but… idk. Just I wish there was more I want to learn more about these characters! They were so fleshed out in the second volume. It was really just random SOL stuff in this. I have such mixed feelings. Did I hate this? Absolutely not! But I do think it has a bit of flaws that hold it back. Like I loved the dream chapter! More stuff like that! Where was that?
4.5, I think 4 stars overall considering the 3 volumes. This is a slice of life about friendship more than a romance story, it doesn't really follow a linear storyline, it mostly jumps from one setting to another through the chapters. The romance in here is most like a background thing, it's really very subtle and definitely not the focus of the story, but nonetheless it manages to present an adorable romance between two girlfriends. The manga focuses mostly on group friendships, portraying a heartwarming bond between the characters, and although it isn't really what I was expecting I still enjoyed it very much, I couldn't stop smiling through the chapters, not to even mention some magnificent panels I couldn't stop looking at. I didn't find anything life-changing or mind-blowing, however I still loved it. A light heartwarming cozy story to read when you're at ease.
2.5 stars and I’m being super generous in rounding this up. It’s as ephemeral as a mayfly and as dense as helium. This was three volumes of slice-of-life that went nowhere and accomplished nothing.
It doesn’t really come to a climax so much as it makes it to the point that it wanted to reach and then stops dead. It’s so very disposable - there are certainly worse yuri series, but there are tons that are far, far better as well.
I mean, it’s an easy read and it’s not actively offensive, but even for a slice-of-life series it is utterly aimless. I don’t know that I’d recommend this, but it has a certain digestibility that might make it palatable to some.
I thought the relationship would be the main focus but the way they told the other girls was a little funny.
Mafuyu’s telling the other girls wants she wants to do with Haru like take baths and finding out that she does all that Midori and questions it because they aren't dating but they kiss and cook and sleep in the same bed was hilarious.
The dream that Haru has and tell Mafuyu was cute. Overall, nothing really happens as far as a cohesive plot but its a cute story about friendship and their dynamics.
Really good volume, I loved the last few panel's with the girls talking, was so cute and funny at the same time!
One thing is that I wished it could have continued, from what I've heard from others yuri series like this one end way too soon, which Is rather disappointing. Especially how one pair is kinda up in the air but you take what you get at times
Overall though really good and such a easy wholesome read!
'Our Wonderful Days' is a really fun domestic series, and it all wraps up nicely in this third volume. We get to see the girls missing each other, and coming back together, and a really cute scene of trying to speak their love for each other. If you want to read something that feels like a warm, comfortable summer afternoon, this is a great series.
4 stars. Fuyu and Haru's first kiss was absolutely precious. My heart! Those two are so cute and I was glad that they finally admitted their feelings. The plot twist of this volume though is that Nana and Minori were not together?? Shocking. They definitely give old married couple vibes. Overall, I really liked this series. It's no big drama involved or anything but it is cute and fluffy.
It's cute, and warm, and funny and wholesome and so lovable. It's sad that there's only 3 volumes. I wish there were more. I totally loved reading it. Thank you so much Kei Hamuro sensei for creating something so beautiful. <3
An endearing slice-of-life story about four girls and the budding relationship between two of them. Considering how angsty some of my more recent reads have been, reading something sweet was definitely something that I needed!
Probably one of my favorite lighter Yuri endings in a minute. I enjoyed the progression of Fuyu and Haru. I love how accepting and loving Minori and Nanaya are to the couple. This series is cute, short, and totally worth reading!
