What do you do when the love of your life asks you to marry her?
Run, of course!
Precious pearls and diamond rings may command Eva Warren’s life, but the jewel of her heart is long-term girlfriend Nadia Gaines. With red hair as captivating as the fires of the sun and curves that entrance Eva for days, it’s no wonder that the most sought-after lesbian heiress in New England has found the woman of her dreams.
Yet not everyone is happy for Eva. Such as her mother, the monstrous Isabella Warren. If this woman has one goal in her life, it’s to harangue her daughter for not only her “licentious” lifestyle, but her inability to be the object of Isabella’s ladder-climbing ways. What good is a daughter, after all, who refuses to date men, let alone marry them and beget their children? (Especially if there’s a very discerning rich man willing to take her!)
Eva’s life is turned upside-down when her mother delivers an ultimatum: dump Nadia and go out with a man selected for her, or forfeit her entire inheritance.
One of the country’s most experienced alpha lesbians doesn’t simply roll over for her mother. When Eva discovers a loophole in her parents’ will that can forever ensure her inheritance, she knows she has to take it.
That means marrying Nadia. Now.
But before Nadia will consent to marriage, she needs to know that Eva is truly the love of her life. Can they weather the storm of Eva’s business crumbling beneath her? Can Nadia look her future mother-in-law in the eye and reclaim her pride?
Can Nadia be assured that Eva won’t get bored of her vanilla ways the moment their relationship is official?
They have three months to sort it out and say “I Do.” With any luck, they’ll survive.
Otherwise, it may mean saying goodbye to the only love that’s ever mattered.
I still hold to the stance I had about these characters in Hard to Get - juvenile. While Nadia and Eva seemed to have grown up slightly, particularly Eva, they still come across as two women who just shouldn’t be together. I can’t say I believed them as a couple, not once across two books.
But there is still something charming about this story, perhaps it is the happily ever after element that brings a tear to the eye. Cynthia and Hildred both know how to deliver love and steam, though I tire of the characters going off on mental tangents instead of focusing on their partners. There seems to be a real issue with these two that unless it’s a kink scene, love making is akin to balancing the cheque book.
📍 “The thought that someone could love you more than I do both breaks my heart and my brain. It can’t be possible. You’re my favorite person in the whole world. I need you. Please, say that you need me.” + • + • + • +
Graced with revisiting our favorite billionarie couples, will Eva & Nadia finally be able to have their happily ever after or will their pasts, their differences, their insecurities, their drama & (mainly!) Isabelle Warren deny them their peace & joy.
This book was a roller coaster of emotions! I will give it a 4.5 because there were moments were I felt like sometimes was to extensive in thoughts and narrative not that I am an expert hehe but it how I felt as a reader but besides of what I can feel or say about that the book was amazing! You laugh, you get angry, you feel frustrated and happy at the dame time. A couple of times a found myself laughing with the interaction between Eve and Kathrine, this book it certainly give you closure to Hard To Get.
The characters have come so far in this book. Eva & Nadia, will one of them break it off? Will one of them cheat? Will Eva's mother, Isabella get her way? Will Isabella keep Eva from her rightful inheritance? More than a few twists and turns. The bachelorette parties...WOW! Please tell me there is a 3rd book in the series! So much more to learn about Eva and Nadia, and Eva's terrible mom, and all of the newer characters introduced. I definitely recommend the Ava & Nadia series. For those wondering...still lots of steam, and light BDSM.
I never had bite anxiety reading a romance novel about two characters trying to get on the same page. It was all worth it but have mercy. If Eva could ever learn to love herself as much as she loves her lovers. But the only lover that matters is Nadia. And if Nadia can ever believe someone loves all of her this will be the greatest fairy tale ever.
I loved following Eva and Nadia on more of their journey in this 2nd book
It was beautiful watching them grow as individuals and as a couple. They both had moments of insecurity and vulnerability but the love and trust between them is so strong and unconditional that they know there is only one person in the world for them - each other.
This book was so wordy! Probably for diehard fans of the first book only. I actually didn't like Nadia as much this time round, she seemed kind of b***** at times. I would have gave it 3 stars for closure. The extra star was due to the cameos of the author's other characters, and Eva's badassery towards the end. I'm definitely interested in looking into some of the other novels now.
I have read several books about Eve Warren and her group of friends and family. I have loved all of them but I have to say, this was my favorite. You got to learn the in depth reasons why she is the way she is. Wonderful book!!
This book had a bit too much background noise, too much explaining, going over and over the same things. I enjoyed the read, the story was a bit off in places, but overall a great way to spend my day reading.
This was a wonderful conclusion to the saga of Nadia and Eva that began in "Hard To Get". I'm certainly a fan of these authors now! If you love lesfic, this book belongs on your must read list!
What a great sequel to Hard to Get. I didn't think a second book could top the first, but Eva and Nadias story only got better in book two. With all the family drama added this was a 5 star read. I'm sort of hoping that a book 3 appears at some point.
This continuation of Nadia and Eva's story is a lot more complex than book one, with several good subplots and twists. I was really not sure how Momzilla was going to handle the couple's inheritance issue. It was wound up nicely.
I enjoyed the book because it gave more depth to Eva and Nadia’s characters. Yes it is about their getting to say I do, no mystery there, but it fleshes out their characters and why it took so long to get there. Plus more to dislike about Eva’s mother.
I was excited when I heard that Eva and Nadia's story wasn't over as these two are my favorite couple written by the authors. I had high expectations and I wasn't disappointed. We get to see a lot of growth in book two. Both individually as well as within their relationship. I was most excited to see Nadia's growth within their relationship. It allowed for the authors to answer some questions that had plagued my mind since book one. Nadia comes to the realization that she must admit a few things in order to move forward with her relationship with Eva. Eva is faced with a lot in book two and it forces her to open up completely and allow others to take the reins for a change. She also realized that it's time to voice some things that she's held on to for far too long. The individual personal growth is the catalyst for an even deeper connection between the two. It is pure bliss to see the journey play out in and out of the bedroom. As usual we are blessed with some deliciously descriptive sex scenes from these two. I absolutely loved it. I will be rereading this in the future. I definitely recommend. Happy reading!
This one made my day colorful. Bringing in all the other women from the authors other books in the way the story was written was brilliant. I love Eva and Nadia's story. This solidifies that my once held belief that Eva and Nadia's love is soul full of beauty. Yes, they are sexy beyond belief but its more than that, it's their steam and desire to hold onto to each other. Love is love but the beauty of their deep desire and emotion is what I love the most about this story line. The dynamic relationship of the couples family, friends and business acquaintances made this story even more than just romance. its more real. I read the other books by this author, I still find that Eva and Nadia my favorite. Now what do I do...read both books again. I need more Eva and Nadia stand alone books.
I like how you think that Nadia is going to break it off. How she is feeling. Eva trying to prove that she can manage the family business and keeping her mother away but one a head of her. You can feel the love between the two women. The best part is how you brought everyone of your characters together for the this book. Just a look on how your other characters are living.
