Hey there, awesome adventurers and furry friends of the digital realm! It's me, Kiba Snowpaw, your trusty Furry male Ice Wolf from the magical ice world of HowlStrom. Today, I’m here to share with you a tale so epic, so filled with magic and adventure, it'll make your fur stand on end. Let’s dive into the audiobook review of “Noble Dragon” from The Elven-Trinity series, a story that’s as thrilling as sliding down the icy slopes of HowlStrom at full speed!
In a universe where magic crackles through the air like the northern lights, our hero, alongside a noble elf and a djinn-turned-ally, stands against the darkness. Their mission? To stop a dark magician from unleashing an ancient evil that’s been locked away for eons. But there’s a twist – they’re missing a crucial piece of the puzzle, the third sister in the Elven-Trinity.
Our quest leads us through dangers untold, from battling an obsidian hellhound to encountering more golems, and maybe even befriending a dragon along the way. Yes, you heard that right, a dragon pet! How paw-some is that?
This tale is not just about magic and battles; it’s about the bonds that form between our characters. It’s a journey of friendship, of finding strength in one another, and of course, a sprinkle of harem situations for those who tread into the adult realms of storytelling.
Mark Albany weaves a story that’s as intricate as the frost patterns on a winter window. With each page, we delve deeper into a world where elves, djinn, and dragons roam free. Our hero’s quest to find the third sister takes us to the very edges of this magical universe, and right into the heart of the underworld.
What’s truly enchanting about this saga is the way it balances the darker elements with moments of light. Amidst the backdrop of an epic war of magic, we find moments of genuine connection and warmth between our characters. It’s a reminder that even in the darkest of times, there’s always a glimmer of hope, a spark of magic that can turn the tide.
The audiobook version brings this tale to life with a vibrancy that’s akin to witnessing the aurora borealis dance across the night sky. Each character is given voice, making the journey even more immersive. It’s like being right there with them, feeling every surge of magic, every heartbeat of adventure.
Now, as I wrap up this review from my icy domain, I urge you fellow adventurers, magic enthusiasts, and lovers of epic tales, to lend your ears to “Noble Dragon.” It’s a story that promises not just a journey across a fantastical world, but a voyage into the depths of courage, friendship, and the endless possibilities that magic brings.
Until our paths cross again, under the starlit sky of HowlStrom, keep your fur fluffed and your spirits high. Adventure is out there, waiting, and it’s calling your name. Howl on, my friends, howl on!
It's hard to say why I didn't care much for this book. The first was entertaining. The second, for such a short book it too a long time to read. I kept putting it down for another book then trying to come back to finish. It had all the parts to make a while but somehow it felt shallow. MC's magic develops with very little reason or insight. What makes our MC special? Well he had power. We know that but not much else. The plot was a bit lackluster.. as it entirely revolves around the MC's power building but again we never learn much about what his power is or how he's building it. Just that he practices and "shares" and does get better. Spoiler ahead.... The ending seemed rather anticlimactic. One of those snack your own forehead because you were warned and should have known what you were doing but if you didn't do then there would be no point to a third book. When your protagonist enables the end of all things good through so completely avoidable circumstances then..... Well let's just say I don't think I will read book three.
Alianna’s second sister Norell was a member of the Gentry and was discovered through a looking glass trinket. In their attempts to get to Norell, they ran into Siren, the Master Mage of the Palace. In a violent battle, Siren and his Golem were supposedly destroyed. They had also discovered a rare artifact, in fact, a pair of them. With the news of a Rogue Mage in the territory, and Norell’s influence, Lesser Nobles wanted his help against the Emperor. Grant, the Rogue Mage, was given the title “Barion”, which is “Shield” or “Defender” in Elvish. Trouble in the Western Kingdom would lead the trio to their next enemy; a Dark Djinn. Dealing with the Dark Djinn was one thing. Looking for the third Sister was another. It would lead them to the Underworld.
Pretty good A solid second book. The tone of the story remains the same and the characters and relationships established in book 1 stay consistent. I would like to have learned more about the elf sisters, but all in due time I suppose. I like this series. I also Love that it doesn't piss me off or make me want to throw the book across the room. That's getting to be a bigger deal as fewer writers have editors to counsel them out of disastrous choices they seem to throw in for no sane reason. Mark Albany either has some good test readers or he actually thought the story through before writing it.
Grant finds his class specialty, joins the two sisters to find the third sister, free the pet dragon, fight against the evil dark djinni attracted to Grant, defeat the evil wizard, and more! A few surprises, and the quest gets into high gear. Inexplicably, the Imperial Lancers change from a gold and red color scheme to black and red. Cliffhanger ending -- but I already bought book three. Engaging.
This novel is a bit dark as the trio work to stop evil from corrupting the world. The only happiness in the novel is the growing relationship between the characters. Since the third book is already released I don’t need to wait to find out what happens next.
I enjoyed reading this book, but I got tired of all the work to keep reading all the plot build up. The sex was nice, better than the first book, but it isn't designed to be the story plot. I don't think. It was enjoyable to read, but moved on to another book I will read in 2 days verse 9 days so far.
Another solid entry in the series. The decision to include a preview of the next book has been good bait to keep going through the series. It has found a decent balance between plot/action and romance. Do wish that the pacing was a bit better, but each book is essentially one self-contained story arc, so it's not too bad.
I bought this book hoping for some improvement but I didn't find it. Even the escape of the two villains was to be expected because of the linear plotline. And no, I am not going to buy the 3rd book.
This was a great second chapter to the series. Can't wait to see what takes place in book 3. Given the way the plot is going, I assume there is only one more in the series.
I liked this story better than the first as we know the characters and the path they are on. The H gets an addition to his harem and also is getting a grasp on his magic. The bad guys are set to be more aggressive in book 3.
I really enjoyed reading this book. The story contains action, magic and great characters. I really enjoyed it and I highly recommend reading this book.
